@MichT4 just saw your question.. no I never got to the first step, I was due to go in for bloods to decide about Clomid when I got a BFP. Then got what felt like a miraculous second pregnancy when my first baby was only a few months old. When we weren't even trying 🙈after all my worrying about not even being able to have one i was so happy though! Preganancy number 3 was after a couple years of birth control. I got a BFP after a few months after removing the implant but it sadly ended in MC at nearly 10 weeks, which is what led me here 💓 now pregnant again in what seems like another miracle. So long story short, don't have any experience with Clomid or metformin but have heard SO many good stories about people with PCOS getting pregnant so quickly on even just metformin! And i wouldn't hesitate to ask for it if I had been trying a number of months!

calimommy · 24/07/2020 23:50

@2020wish I was prescribed those and my consultant said not start the progesterone until after a BFP. I had another two pregnancies after that, neither with the medication. One was full term and one was lost.

calimommy · 24/07/2020 23:47

@2020wish seems like a good plan. I took aspirin and progesterone after my second loss and that resulted in a full term pregnancy

1990EM · 24/07/2020 23:40

Sorry just catching up (again!) Still got a couple pages to read but big congrats to @calimommy! ❤

2020wish · 24/07/2020 23:26

I’ll also point out that my blood clotting tests came back normal. But my mother has a blood clotting disorder . And so far my hcg and test lines have been strongest this pregnancy while on aspirin so I’m hoping it’s working

2020wish · 24/07/2020 23:24

Also the reason I started myself in these two things is because I am referred to the recurrent mc clinic but it will take months to be seen and want to do everything in power now to hold onto a pregnancy

2020wish · 24/07/2020 23:23

@Rainbowhope11 I am only taking the progesterone and low dose aspirin as they are the two most common reasons for recurrent miscarriage and since I’ve had 3 in a row I thought why not. Progesterone cream just tries to increase ur progesterone levels to support the pregnancy and uterus lining I believe. It’s not prescribed and not as strong as the prescribed progesterone you can get of fertility specialist. I get mine on eBay and it’s called now progesterone .aspirin increases blood flow to the uterus to increase lining and also help blow flow through the placenta, it helps if you have a slight blood clotting disorder called antiphospolipid syndrome or sticky blood that prevents adequate blood flow to the placenta. But a lot of women that have normal blood clotting results are still put on it by the recurrent mc consultants and a lot carry to term and they believe it’s due to aspirin. But u will need to speak with ur doctor first to ensure u aren’t contradicted for it and to make them aware incase u need bloods or in an accident and the medical team know as it can affect the results if blood tests and clotting factors. Your doctor won’t prescribe u it for recurrent mc but they should be aware that it’s a form of treatment if u end up referred for mc, mine is happy I’m taking it, she couldn’t prescribe it but ensured me that based on my medical history I’m safe to take it and she can’t stop me buying it myself. Sorry for the story I just think it’s important ur fully informed before trying something . Google and read up on it

Rainbowhope11 · 24/07/2020 23:13

Ooh thanks @2020wish I completely forgot about the calf fluor 😂 the bottle is just living at the bottom of my handbag, forgotten!

Do you have a prescription for the progesterone cream? Sorry, can you tell me what it's for and the low dose aspirin? I haven't looked into those before.

Thank you for your help @2020wish 😊

Rainbowhope11 · 24/07/2020 23:02

@MichT4 awesome!! Thanks for the speedy response 😊 and yes, Dha is an omega 3. I'm going to stop on my way home and get some supplies😊 hopefully I can get used to the grapefruit juice!

2020wish · 24/07/2020 23:01

@Rainbowhope11 I take- seven seas trying for a baby, vital dha, calc flur, coq10, high dose vit d, folic acid high dose, b6complex, extra iodine and magnesium. Grapefruit juice through your cycle (helps with ewcm) I don’t take EP but that help with ewcm also so take that before ovulation. I also take pomegranate juice leading up to ovulataion and the tww and beyond. I also use preseed and fertility cup when DTD. After ovulation I use progesterone cream and low dose aspirin

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 22:58

@Rainbowhope11 grapefruit juice is leading up to ovulation as its meant to help with CM. Evening primrose does the same so take that alongside the grapefruit juice.
Pom juice is meant to help with uterine lining, so I think most take it after ovulation, but I think @2020wish said earlier it can also be drunk throughout as it will always be doing the same thing. (Think it was @2020wish)

I take similar supplements otherwise, except the DHA. I take omega 3 which I have a feeling is similar xx

Renna · 24/07/2020 22:58

@MichT4 aw thanks hun I really should do this ... this is so true and I've not been feeling it.. thinking I'm preparing myself when really I still just get as upset so it's pointless @2020wish aw that's so lovely they're all looking after you . will help you relax too then xxx

Rainbowhope11 · 24/07/2020 22:54

Ladies, now that I've finally gotten AF after not having one since May, I wanted to review all my supplements etc. I'm currently taking prenatals, prenatal Dha, coq10, pregnitude. I want to give the grapefruit juice a try as well. At what point in the cycle so I take the grapefruit juice? Also what does the pomegranate juice and evening primrose do? And when do you take those? If you have any other supplement recommendations, please send them my way 😊

2020wish · 24/07/2020 22:54

@Renna I know trying to stay so positive and telling myself I’ll have a baby 👶🏼 in March but it’s just a constant battle in my head. I’m beyond happy, I just wanna feel it lol my mum won’t let me move at all, she’s down scrubbing my house and hoovering so I’m trying to enjoy being pampered a bit lol my family are determined they are gonna make this pregnancy stick lol won’t even let me wheel the trolley in shops lol

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 22:51

@VP91x we ended up having dominos as it could be delivered and OH didn't finish work til 9. I feel like a bloater now, and we just finished new girl so I am not happy 😂
What did you have?

@Renna I agree with @2020wish. Always try and keep a pma, think it's really important, mainly because the time goes quicker. So the next month, just remember how lucky Devon is, and that that's where you'll be getting PG 🤞🏼

xx

Renna · 24/07/2020 22:51

@2020wish and you also need to think and feel your lovely succesdul happy pregnancy the next 8 months xx 💞

Renna · 24/07/2020 22:48

@2020wish thanks hun yes I need to think and feel this xx

2020wish · 24/07/2020 22:42

@Renna law of attraction, think it, feel it, be it. BFP within the next two cycles!

2020wish · 24/07/2020 22:41

@Diorissimo1985 I’m ok. Every day having a mental battle with myself that this pregnancy is going to stick . I’m exhausted and feel out of breath 24/7 but and started to get insomnia at night, I’ve been in bed shattered from 8pm but can’t sleep . Then wake at 6 starving beyond belief then barely any appetite rest of the day. Cramping and pulling sensations down below also. Just really a bundle of nerves

BEESY90 · 24/07/2020 22:34

Hi @VP91x I was diagnosed 7 years ago in my early 20s when I had relentless Adult acne, very rare periods and unexplained weight gain. I was put on a contraceptive Pill and got amazing skin, a regular bleed and lost weight! Now I came off the pill to conceive, I have no periods whatsoever, bad acne and am resembling humpty dumpty again! The pill does just mask the issue. I am hopeful we have found my magic dose to get some action going!

Renna · 24/07/2020 22:19

@Stayinghopeful92x aw thanks hun and you too xxx

Renna · 24/07/2020 22:16

@2020wish thanks hun xx I guess I dont mind if it's just one random one and not a regular occurrence 😓🙄🤞 gonna try just feel the positive vibes this month. Most months I think I've been protecting myself by like telling myself I probs wont get pg .. just to prepare myself for BFNs I think . Maybe that's not working for me ... as I get upset regardless any way so I may aswell start thinking it is going to happen and see if the positive mental attitude helps instead xx

MichT4 · 24/07/2020 22:13

@BEESY90 by the sounds of it I'd say yesterday may have been your peak but the diluted wee has made the line slightly lighter. So if you can, another day or two of DTD and you'll have hopefully covered yourself nicely.

I really hope you're in with a shot this month x

Renna · 24/07/2020 22:12

@MichT4 @Diorissimo1985 yeah kinda bit of a relief tbh as I was getting BFN I knew probably wasnt pregnant but was getting worried no AF coming . No AF started this morning but I spoke to my GP yday so maybe I relaxed a bit about it pr just a coincidence. Yeah I'd recommend acupuncture its improved my mood today and also feel bit more relaxed., and he said he will give me treatment to help regulate my cycle and help ovualtion. 🤞 so see if it helps. I'll keep you posted x x If i ovulate when i should ... around CD14 ish i will actually be in Devon at my in laws and this is where we conceived last time at xmas 🤞 wonder if the in laws is our magic conceiving place ... 🤣

VP91x · 24/07/2020 22:11

@SmileyT were you able to see blood test results etc? Haha yeah definitely a no go zone, the tiredness gets worse! That sounds nice, no just need to go check in on my parents and boring housework for the week. I need to get my shit together, last week until I go back to work! Xx

@MichT4 how was the chinese? 🥰

@MrsK21 hahah, I wonder if they could ever write something to that effect 😅

@Stayinghopeful92x imagine, if we could actually do that. A bit of bum action to get things going in that region 👀👀

@Renna I'm sorry ir was definitely AF but, at least you aren't in limbo waiting still. I think it can be normal to have a random longer cycle. Although I'm sure that isn't comforting atm. Xx

@Pugprincess thank you❤️

@BEESY90 welcome to the group, I agree with @MichT4 if they are lighter today then you could have had your peak yesterday. I got told I have PCOS yesterday, I had no idea. How have you been managing yours? Xx
