@MrsK21. Thank you that’s much appreciated. That’s it isn’t it we just have to hope our bodies regulate themselves so we can go again. I’m 34 in September so that would be a nice birthday present if I can get pregnant by then. It’s not long but I have to remain hopeful and positive xx

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 14:54

@MrsK21 well done! I guess that balances out the delay this end, which is probably better than having everything now and then having to wait for 2 weeks!

@littletandme sounds like a lovely and well needed break, and has brought you nicely to your FW. I'm sure even with the night shifts you'll be refreshed and ready to cover yourself well with DTD xx

MrsK21 · 28/07/2020 14:48

Hi @Runnergirl1 sorry to hear you've been messed about too, it's really not nice at the best of times and makes this difficult even worse.
I think you will still get high OPKs if a positive pregnancy test but hopefully the HCG leaves your system quite quickly now you've passed everything. I was very much in the wanting to get preg asap after mc, but as I mentioned before, I don't think these things can be rushed in any way. Bodies are so unpredictable and after a mc, even more so, so please be kind to yourself and try not to stress too much if it doesn't happen straight away, you've been through a lot!

@MichT4 I managed to get my follow up booked in for next week Thursday, so I'm classing this as a small victory in the grand scheme of everything! Thanks for the pep talk :D

littletandme · 28/07/2020 14:33

Hello ladies. How is everyone?

I took a little time off MN after the chemical, everything was a bit too much but last weekend DH and I dropped DD off for a sleepover at PILs on Saturday morning then enjoyed a nice lunch out and didn't collect her until the following afternoon after a lush Sunday roast so feeling back on form now ready for ov! Hopefully in 3 days time, although my apps are predicting CD17 as that is when I ovulated last cycle but that was my first one since the MC.

So we are officially entering FW, got plans with hubby to work around his shifts as annoyingly he is on night shift on CD13 and CD14!

Runnergirl1 · 28/07/2020 14:10

@MichT4 thank you ever so much. This is a lovely group of ladies who have helped me so much already. I will probs do that the pregnancy test has faded but is still strong with me expelling it so recently but it stopped growing nearly 6 weeks ago now x

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 13:40

@Runnergirl1 I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. I hope your body is kind and resets nice and quickly. I know the feeling of wanting it as soon as possible. Maybe take a PG test every few days and when that is negative, just start an occasional OPK? No need to rely heavily on anything but I know for me it feels better if I'm doing something, even if it's not overly conclusive.

We are here for you of course if you need anything or just to talk. Sending love xx

Runnergirl1 · 28/07/2020 13:34

@MichT4. think I will go with the flo then. It’s just so annoying as I desperately want to be pregnant as soon as possible. The pain was horrific on Wednesday and Sunday when I passed parts of the pregnancy but after Wednesday I was given codeine to help with Sunday so wasn’t as bad. Still not very pleasant though And nothing can help with the smell which won’t leave me for a good while x

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 13:26

Also @Runnergirl1 I hope you are ok and you didn't suffer too much pain or discomfort with your bleeding xx

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 13:24

@Runnergirl1 I'm glad you are feeling more positive and are now through the passing of everything.
I think your OPKs will be high while there is still hcg in your system, but someone else might have more knowledge on that. I think once you get a negative then you can do OPKs again but as you said (and I am finding) this first month is quite hit and miss so I'm finding it easier mentally to use the OPKs and temps as a guide and just be patient with what my body is doing. I like to take the OPKs so I feel more in control and knowledgable but I know it's all a bit uncertain at the moment.
So I think going with the flow is probably the best option if you can do it xx

Runnergirl1 · 28/07/2020 13:17

Ok so I lost the rest of my pregnancy on Sunday so thinking positive and ahead now. Obviously I’m going to still have a positive pregnancy test, will this affect my OPKs too?? I’ve just done both and Opk is quite high I started bleeding last Saturday so they say to class that as day one so I’m now cd11. I might just have to forget testing for now and just go with the flow this time around until my body adapts

So sorry to hear you are getting messed about @MrsK21 - it isn’t easy mentally all this journey is it. I feel like I’ve been passsed from pillar to post just to confirm mc. Hope you get it sorted

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 12:58

@MrsK21 exactly so there's no point worrying too much. I need to keep with my plan of no expectations and then I won't be disappointed when I don't see what I want.

@Pugprincess yeah I think my body could be confused. I never really have light OPKs so for me, I guess as long as it isn't peak then it's the right trend. I'll keep doing them because if my body is gearing up and then not ovulating, I could have missed it a couple of times. I'll get a better picture in a few days. It's annoying because my first peak I had the random spikes so I think in terms of a definite temp rise, it might be hard to see this month. Like you, will just carry on this month and see where things end up in a few weeks xx

Pugprincess · 28/07/2020 12:53

@MrsK21 how annoying! Let’s hope 3rd times a charm 🤞🏻

@MichT4 I wonder if your bodies just a bit confused hormone wise after mc? Maybe it keeps gearing up to go and then calming down then gearing back up? 26th looks your best though so far doesn’t it. Shame the temps aren’t reassuring you but hopefully a few more days and the picture will get clearer 🤞🏻 I’m not temping so I’m just going to assume I have ovulated (plan to get another in today and keep things regular during tww just incase) might try the temping next cycle if AF comes. Will have to get your advice on apps to use etc if I do. I have a basal thermometer cause I used to temp years ago xx

MrsK21 · 28/07/2020 12:53

@MichT4 the waiting and seeing is the hardest part! If I've learnt one thing from this process it's that I can't force my body to do something it doesn't want to.

Definitely putting my angry face on before I go for bloods in a bit!

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 12:37

@MrsK21 you're right. I was worried it would be another peak, and it isn't. Just got to wait and see.

I'd be pretty firm with them hun, tell them you won't be delayed with your follow up after the way they've been with these appointments. Say you want to be seen as soon as possible (next week latest!)

Northernsoul90 · 28/07/2020 12:36

@Jazper Yes we will have to try and encourage one another to hold off of testing! To be honest I'm usually not too bad at testing early I normally wait until af is due it's just once I got a positive last time I was horrendous doing multiple tests a day. Poas became an obsession 😂

@Mommybear05 I have tried overnight oats before yes! I'll have to make some up I, like chia pudding as well which you can make overnight for the next day. I like healthy food it's just laziness really and junk always seems to win 🙈

@MrsK21 Im so sorry they've moved it and messed you about again!! Ridiculous! I'm glad you manager is being supportive though xxx

Lollol86 · 28/07/2020 12:19

@MrsK21 it really does make a difference. I can't believe they have messed you about like this xx

MrsK21 · 28/07/2020 12:15

@MichT4 it's definitely much lighter than the previous peaks! I would keep testing a couple more days to check it reduces more to confirm ovulation.

Oh I was absolutely fuming too, especially because I'm sure the follow up appointment with the consultant to go through results will also be another couple of weeks away. I asked them to fit me in as early as possible but because the consultant specified that particular sonographer, there are no other slots till Thursday. SO annoying.

@Lollol86 I know! I felt like things couldn't really get worse with mc and no AF, but life is determined to really test my patience atm.

Yep a supportive manager can make the world of difference, work is stressful at best of times and the fact she said to prioritise my health has helped so much x

Lollol86 · 28/07/2020 12:08

@MrsK21 that's so wrong how they have messed you around, but definitely a silver lining with your manager. I'm very lucky too as my manager is very supportive xx

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 12:02

@MrsK21 I can't believe they have moved it. I was surprised yesterday and now I'm raging for you. You should insist they fit you in somewhere, it's not ok that they did that, and now you have another 2 day wait. Grrrrr!!

Glad your manager is supportive though, it makes such a difference. I still haven't told my boss 😂 the opportunity hasn't arisen. I think I will though because it really does help

So I just did an OPK and it's still a bit dark, but is definitely registering lighter on fem. I've attached a couple of pics. I'm not sure if it should be much lighter if I have ovulated though

@VP91x I'm just working from home. Like @Lollol86 I think I won't be going back to the office till next year, so every morning starts with a video call with the team etc.

Annoyingly the hospital just rang me to move my scan to Thursday morning now as the sonographer is only there till 6pm and they booked me at 7pm. I was really annoyed with them and made it clear they're messing me around. It's making a stressful time much worse. Why book me in for this evening if the sonographer won't be around!?

I ended up speaking to my manager at work to let her know of all the issues I'm having with my cycle and now these appointments etc after MC and how it's affecting me and she was sooo supportive. Told me to take it easy at work and let her know which bits I can hand over to her / others until I'm back on my feet properly. So the shitty treatment at Spire has resulted in a somewhat silver lining x

HopeForRainbowbaby · 28/07/2020 10:48

Hallo ladies i have been away for weekend. How is everyone doing ? I'm CD 9 wohoo

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 10:33

@VP91x I did think that, and read that once about skin temperature. And now you've said it I feel it's more credible 😂
It's a possibility, but hopefully one I won't have to keep guessing on soon.

Blimey that's a busy morning for you, I could do with a nap, but the zoom call looms. Should take me to a nice OPK time though 😂. And yes I think we will book something at some point. I keep getting put off as I don't know when you should/shouldn't fly IF I did get PG. xx

Lollol86 · 28/07/2020 10:18

@VP91x when we went at Christmas Neve was 2, she turned 3 in March. She loves Disney and sat and watched it all. If Bella enjoys Disney it's definitely worth taking her xx

VP91x · 28/07/2020 10:07

@MichT4 doesn't that cool your skin down if you've had a hot night? I need to do a science degree to decipher all these things we look at 😂

I cleaned all the windows downstairs inside and out, done a couple of washloads and now just off to the park to wear Bella out before naptime. You should definitely book a getaway for the both of you. If you have a bump then it could be a babymoon, if unfortunately not then you'll still have an amazing holiday to look to but I'm sure you'll be going with a bump xx

@Lollol86

@Pugprincess you'll probably have a slightly longer cycle then hun, everything crossed for you xx

@Jazper absolutely you should be beyond proud 🥰🥰

@Lollol86 how old were they when you took them to Disney on Ice I've always worried Bella wouldn't stay still for long enough xx

@MrsK21 hopefully time between the appts goes quickly. Are you doing much else today x

@MichT4 google is the devil. Ive been close to dying a fair few times according to google 😂😂
I'm the same though I seem to have time to look online when I'm home. We've been told that we won't be returning to the office this year so I'll be working from home until at least January but I'd imagine a lot longer as I work in a big head office with loads of people. I think going forward even when a vaccination is produced a lot of businesses will continue to work from home as much as possible to reduce costs. I have teams video calls everyday so have to make a little effort, I'd rather be dat here in my pjs with no bra on 😂😂
