@Hayleylou89

Glad baby ok make sure you try and rest as much as you can. I would deffo say we all know our body and when something doesn't feel right get it checked out no matter how small

Northernsoul90 · 30/07/2020 07:44

@MrsK21 @VP91x Thank you both, I am okay it's just hard isn't it... nobody understands either other than you ladies so it's nice to know I'm not alone in my feelings xx

@VP91x Aww that's so sad bless Bella wanting her to wake up and play 😢. I hope you are okay today ❤️. Ooh that's good that it's arrived, should that help in regulating your cycle? Xx

@Hayleylou89 Wow you've had a whirlwind few days! I'm so glad the consultant saw you in the end though!! I know it's scary having the stitch put in but just think once its done it might put your mind at rest and allow you to feel a bit less anxious about things and will just keep baby nice and snug in there. Will be thinking about you on Friday! Wishing you lots of luck and best wishes for then! 🙏🏼💕 Lovely scan pics he does look very cozy! Xx

Hayleylou89 · 30/07/2020 07:22

Hey ladies, little update from me as its been a bit of a whirlwind week. Its a lonng one sorry..

So I went for my first cervical scan last thurs (12+2) and was told my cervix was measuring short at 28mm but to wait until 17 weeks to be seen again as its still above the 25mm threshold, but i requested to be seen before i go away at around 15.5 weeks which they agreed....however sunday i was given the dog a shower and felt fluid (like water but bit takey) on my pjs (not sure if it just come out in one go or what) anyway i panicked obv as this is somethin that happened last time, except it was slight pinky last time) so i called emergency room and they asked me to come straight in which i did, they checked to make sure it wasnt my waters and thankfully it wasnt, it was probably just a watery discharge ...but they said they would let preterm clinic know and they would probably want to measure me before 15 weeks because of what happened, monday i get a call from preterm labour, just a nurse not my consultant askin how i felt the next day and had i leaked more so in said no more leakage and i just felt a bit belly achy, but she said dnt worry we will just see u at ur next appt no need to come in, so when i got off the phone i was just worrying and worrying thinkin surely i should be measured again and not wait another 2.5 weeks, so i emailed my consultant, felt terrible emailing his uni email as i also work with him at the uni and hes the head of womens hospital too and just said what happened sunday and how i felt and straight away he said come into clinic tomorrow (which was yesterday) and ill see u... so i went in and thank god i did!! He scanned the baby first, gave us a 4d tour and confirmed my water were fine and that he was perfect and def had a willy 🤦🏽‍♀️💙... then checked my cervix and my god am i glad i went in... my cervix had shortened again in just 6 days to 20mm from 28mm which was 5mm below the intervention threshold... he said straight away your going into theatre and having the cervical stitch on friday!! Absolutely terrified girls but i know its for the best and he said he wants to be 6 weeks ahead this time because of what happened last time when i got to just over 20 weeks... just got to pray it holds until 37 weeks and my waters dont break earlier again 🙏😢 xx the worry and anxiety is alot!! But i can do this!! 👌🏼

Hope ur all ok x x and will leave this on a happy note including some pics and a fab 4d one at just 13.2 weeks... hes teeny and looks snug as a bug 💙

Morning ladies ❤️
Sorry I went a bit quiet last night, was just dealing with the aftermath of Coco's death. We buried her in the garden under a little tree that we bought recently that Bella likes. It was so sad and Bella kept saying night night coco, have a nice sleep, which made us both cry. I felt so drained by it all - I hope that doesn't sound dramatic. Anyway, we got her some ice cream after with extra sprinkles. I ended up falling asleep on the sofa so early!

Only update from me is that my Inofolic Alpha arrived yesterday and I started taking it.

@Rainbowhope11 this is what you recommended too (I think) 🥰 so thank you. How are you getting on? Xx

@SmileyT she definitely didn't really understand. When we showed her, she just wanted her to wake up and play. I think when we buried her, she kind of understood that she wouldn't see her again. She's fine this morning though so far. I'm glad everything with you and little bean🥰 that hungover/sicky feeling is so draining! Hopefully by second tri you'll get a burst of energy Xxx

@DBTJ I'm glad all is okay, I hope the bleedjng resolves itself quickly. Glad you have another scan next week, and they are looking after you well.

@Rebecca1992 @2020wish I'm so glad that both your little beans are doing well and not long until scans. So exciting 🥰 how crazy if you both had twins with your super high HCG levels! 💁

Welcome @AR52 so sorry for your loss as others have said probably a tad early to test and definitely possible that you could be pregnant again. Test again in a couple of days and I hope you get a BFP xx

@MichT4 I've gone back to femometer this month too, the EAH ones just are too dark always for my liking although now I've seen @chloedancer897 ones you do see a clear pic on them. I'm glad you you feel fab after your hair and great that they test it on a patch before you committing to a colour that's a great idea! Sorry your sister was a bit flippant with her comments, it doesn't help at all xx

@Northernsoul90 I hope you are ok? I'm sorry it was a tough day 😔. Xx

@MrsK21 ah how annoying 😩 that's why I never bother with mine, I'm forever chipping /picking the colour off. Thank you ❤️

MrsK21 · 29/07/2020 22:28

@Northernsoul90 aw sorry you had that experience today, it's so shit when it feels like everyone is pg around you. I think we're all happy for others but just sad for ourselves.
My husbands cousin had a baby yesterday along with one of my work friends. It's been hard to say the least.

@MichT4 oh yeah that photo does look dark! Going by that pic a peak on those would definitely be way darker than control line. Hopefully becomes clearer as you keep testing.
Got my nails done and already chipped one by cutting some of the end off with a kitchen knife 🙄

@VP91x hope Bella has been Ok this evening x

2020wish · 29/07/2020 21:39

@Rebecca1992 I know it’s terrible for a parent to behave like that. I let it annoy me through my previous pregnancies this year but after losing those pregnancies I’ve given stress a back seat and have actually being doing really well with not letting things stress me.

Oh twins how exciting! Friends and family keep saying twins for me also as I got a good positive that’s wasn’t a squinter at 7dpo and then a 3+ At 3/4 days after my missed AF and my cycles are only 29/30 days. I’m happy with one tho but twins would be lovely ! Have

Rebecca1992 · 29/07/2020 21:17

@2020wish That's terrible, I don't understand how some people can play god with their kids lives and refuse them to see a parent!! You've a lot going on then alongside your pregnancy, don't stress anyway and focus on your little bean!

I'm in Ireland so I was offered another c section on my 3 year old, they didnt recommend a VBAC for me. My first was breach so I had no choice on delivery options. I'd imagine they will offer you a section this time as well.

@SmileyT That's a great way to do it, your not waiting months inbetween scans, you've gotten through the longest part now, how are you feeling? I'm extremely tired this time round but I guess having 2 little ones and a full time job will do that as well. Is this your first baby? Have you had anymore sickness? I never experienced nausea or vomiting on my other 2 pregnancies but this time round its constant nausea I'm convinced it's either a boy or twins ( my gut is saying twins since I got my early BFP)

Northernsoul90 · 29/07/2020 21:13

@SmileyT It does just sting doesn't it, it makes everything feel very raw. Hope you are getting on okay, I bet you can't wait for your scan! Xx

Lollol86 · 29/07/2020 21:11

@chloedancer897 yay to static, fingers crossed for you xx

Lollol86 · 29/07/2020 21:08

@VP91x I'm just catching up on today, so sorry to hear about Coco 😭😭 how did Bella take it? Xx

SmileyT · 29/07/2020 20:24

@MichT4 definitely good to test if it'll take before sinking a load of money and time into it. Bet it looks fab, always feel good after a good hairdresser session, always feels so much cleaner when they scrub it ☺️ been a busy day at work for me, another one with no training and leftover Indian for dinner 🙈

@Northernsoul90 a girl at work announced her pregnancy to me about 2months after I told her about my MC which was really hard even though she has been trying for 2years so don't begrudge her but still stung ☹️

@DBTJ yeah I've been sick a few times and just generally feel hungover everyday but if anything it's just making time go even slower. But staying positive and just trying to live my life and not let it consume me (on my good days) x

@Rebecca1992 I'm all good thanks, 6w6 today and I've booked a private scan next Friday at 8w1 (or 7w6 if I'm using LMP). Bet you are kept busy with your little ones... I was actually tempted to contact EPU for a scan as I've seen that they offer them in some trusts for reassurance following a loss but DP said that we should be patient. This scan will be exactly a month after BFP and then it's exactly a month until 12week scan so hopefully I'll get used to the waiting if all is good next week x

2020wish · 29/07/2020 20:09

@Rebecca1992. I should be 6+4 at mine but expecting 6+0 going by ovulation. Well we don’t see his kids as much as their mum is something else and isn’t happy we were trying for one together, she had the kids believing their dad doesn’t love them anymore cause he wants a child with me.. so we are currently going through court for access. I had an emergency c section with my daughter, then a tummy tuck in 2016 so I’m not sure what I will end up having this pregnancy. Would I be offered a csection due to my previous birth?

Rebecca1992 · 29/07/2020 19:23

@2020wish I will be 6+6 Wednesday at my scan, u? I have a 7 & 3 year old they cant wait, the same as you my 7 year old wrote it on her santa list last year! You have a busy household! I think I will relax after my scan, although some nerves will stay as it will be my 3rd c section.

@SmileyT absolutely time has literally stopped! How are u doing? Where u at now? Have u a scan coming up?

Northernsoul90 · 29/07/2020 19:01

Thank you @MichT4 it's so hard isn't it 😣. It gets harder to bite your tongue as well with situations like that! Xx

2020wish · 29/07/2020 18:57

@DBTJ yes she bleed really bad was was convinced she was losing her last pregnancy, but it was what u have and now he’s a happy healthy one year old x

DBTJ · 29/07/2020 18:52

@MichT4 mentally I've tried not to really think about it as I'm trying to conserve energy into dealing with my breast abscess.

@SmileyT thank you. I know what you mean about nothing going on however I have had the dreaded morning sickness creeping in but I told God I will not complain just let this one stick

@2020wish thanks that refreshing to know. I have done some research about it as I was really worried. I was advised to stop using aspirin

MichT4 · 29/07/2020 18:37

@Northernsoul90 sorry to hear about your wobble. I saw my sister yesterday and she has a bump now. I sort of ignored it but kept just looking at it. In the end I bit the bullet and asked how it was all going. She's so casual about it, and really complained about everything - said she hated being pregnant. I had to smile and bite my tongue.

@2020wish I'm sure I'll learn to have the same love/hate relationship with these ones. I think I just wanted consistency this month, but maybe it's a good thing xx

MichT4 · 29/07/2020 18:34

@SmileyT I just had quite a lot taken off and a root touch up/toner on the bottom. She's taken some of my hair to test 😳 to see if it'll take the colour I'm working towards, which is good as I don't want to spend the money for it not to take.
I feel much better after it, it was pretty dry at the ends. Feel a little lost without the length though!

I'm sure I'll get used to the OPKs but like you said, it's just trying to compare it. I guess a peak will be a peak on either.

How was your day?

@MrsK21 here is a picture of it, it's just hard without context and comparison. Glow doesn't really pick it up because the lines are closed. I downloaded Premom which is the app they are for and it came up as 0.68 and 0.76.

@AR52 I agree with @SmileyT and maybe give it a couple of days and test again. You should get an answer at 13DPO. Annoyingly the symptoms can be so similar, especially after MC, but I do hope this is a good sign for you

xx

Northernsoul90 · 29/07/2020 18:27

@VP91x I'm okay thank you, just had a bit of a wobble someone from work has just announced her pregnancy and would have been due a few weeks after my due date. I'm alright but it's just that awful feeling as if it's never going to be you 💔

How are you? Sorry again about your rabbit it's awful losing a pet xx

@AR52 hello, I'm sorry for your loss ❤️ I agree with @SmileyT it could be your body playing tricks on you or a little to early to test. I would retest in another few days 😊 fingers crossed for you xx

2020wish · 29/07/2020 18:27

@Rebecca1992 how far along will u be at ur scan? Are you excited? I have a 9 year old who has been begging for a sibling for over a year now. Writing it in my birthday cards and Mother’s Day cards. We did tell her we were pregnant before and she cried happiness and then we had to sit her down and explain the loss and she cried so bad. So I dunno when or how to tell her about this one. My partner also has 4 children to his ex of 13 years, his youngest is 8. So it’s still very new territory for us. Have u any more?

@DBTJ my sister had a few of those bleeds but all three children are ok now :)

@MichT4 that’s how I felt at first with the wash at home but now I prefer them.

@chloedancer897 yes def looks like u ovulated at that peak.

MrsK21 · 29/07/2020 18:23

@MichT4 did you mean to attach a pic of your easy @ home one?

@chloedancer897 yes I think they're meant to get lighter after you've had your peak / ovulated as the LH hormone reduces back to normal levels

SmileyT · 29/07/2020 18:23

@VP91x ahh I'm so sorry to read about Coco 😩 how did it go down with Bella? ☹️

@chloedancer897 yay to a static 👌🏾 they say you ovulate 12-36hrs after your LH starts to surge, so I'd say that was it doesn't really matter when the peak ends (according to the research I did before) so I'd say you'll ovulate today or tomorrow, I'd probably just take Friday as 1dpo x

@MichT4 ooh what are you getting done to your hair? Feeling fabulous now? And that is so annoying about the opks, I did change opks once during a cycle and got used to it quickly but with your multiple peaks it may be more of a pain 😩

@2020wish @DBTJ @Rebecca1992 hope the scans go well next week, not sure if you're like me and feel like time has completely stopped, I feel like nothing happens in the first 12 weeks 😴

Welcome @AR52 and sorry for your loss, you could definitely be pregnant and could be too early to get a positive result at 11dpo but as with everything ttc it's just a case of waiting as especially 1st couple months after MC your body can play tricks on you, I'd wait 2 days and test again x

chloedancer897 · 29/07/2020 18:17

Absolutely awful at these but does this mean I've ovulated now if my levels are lower this evening?

TTC after MC - July/August 2020 (Thread 8)
AR52 · 29/07/2020 18:03

Hi everyone, hope you dont mind me joining.

I had a miscarriage 2nd June and ovulated this month around 18th July. Last time I was pregnant before I found out I had a mouth full of ulcers and bleeding gums and I've had the same the last couple of days. This morning I also had a bit of brown blood when wiping but only the once. I've done a test which says negative but still dont feel right. Is my body playing tricks on me or is there a chance that I may be pregnant. My AF is due 2nd August according to Flo app.

MichT4 · 29/07/2020 17:47

Good to hear from you @DBTJ, are you feeling ok though?

So ladies you probably don't remember but I had bought a pack of OPKs on the month I fell pregnant so I hadn't opened them yet. Just went to do one and no more left and didn't even remember that I had ordered the easy at home ones. Now I'm really confused and perplexed 😂 these aren't the lines I'm used to, I don't like how short and stubby they are. Do they work on femometer? What on earth.......!!??

This may be dramatic but I felt at home with femometer 😂😂
