NEWBIE 🙋🏼‍♀️ TTC first baby - anyone else new to the journey?

Hey ladies,

Thought I'd start a new thread for anyone new to this like me 🙋🏼‍♀️

We're TTC after a change of plans when COVID postponed our wedding 🙄

Currently cycle 1 of TTC WITH AF due in 3 days.. I think I can feel it coming tbh.

Didn't use any form of ovulation tracker other than Flo (which I've used to track period for years) this cycle.

I'm cycle 1, having come off the pill after 8 years! I had my withdrawal bleed, then roughly two weeks later, lots of ewcm and positive OPK's! I'm about 10/11 dpo now and dying to do a test 🤦🏼‍♀️

Nice to see a thread for newbies! It's all very daunting and the shed load of information out there can be a bit scary x

@beckyBP eek! Keep me updated please, I had a very very faint line on a Waitrose cheapy 12DPO then waited another full day and the next morning got a BPK! Just going to do a digital so hopefully says the weeks!

I just took a cheapy test (one that came free with my opks) and it was negative but I'm only 11dpo so not ruling out yet xx

@beckyBP thank you! Yep and it’s almost like a dull ache there now, I woke up with cramps on Wednesday convinced AF was here! I have no idea what’s normal or not so I’m just trying to take a day at a time at the moment - eek!

@PinkPlantCase thank you! Feels v v strange. No idea how to tell husband! We’ve been trying since April I’d say (got married July 2019) but first month of tracking everything and (fingers crossed) it’s worked!

Hello! Hope I can join in on here after reading for a few months. Tried without tracking anything for the past few months (As everyone told me how easy it is and to just let it happen) but nothing did! So I ordered OPKs and Clearblue Ovulation tracker and got a static smiley this morning - just so happy to see that at this moment in time! Fingers crossed!

sorry if this is upsetting to some, I know seeing positives isn’t that helpful in the thread sometimes

Well I can’t quite believe it as I had brown spotting which I usually get before AF however she never fully showed up, so bought a FRER and did them this morning and...

So I am now 30 DPO when I THINK I ovulated... Anyway had a bleed CD28, it was incredibly light and never really got going, no cramps or anything. Took a test during and a week after it, BFN x2. However I am feeling nauseous every day, absolutely exhausted, mood swings like crazy, hot flushes, my DH thinks my boobs look bigger. So I'm so confused right now. After my surgery for endometriosis in June and mirena removal I had a 60 day cycle, then a 43 day cycle. So I'm wondering if I have a long cycle and ovulated late perhaps?! Or am I just going crazy and need to give up... If we take a normal 28 day cycle (let's say that my last bleed was a normal period) then I should be ovulating about now and there's no sign of changes to CM etc... Any advice of what I should do next?

I know right @bigblueboots he said he didn't even look at the envelope he just opened it.

I'm 9dpo now. I'll try and wait until AF due on Monday but we'll see 😂

@beckyBP That is so weird! Also a bit weird that he opened it, presumably didn't have your names on it - the universe must have been working very hard to get that sign to you

How long til you can test, or are you just waiting and seeing?

And isn't there so much to get your head around 😅 I mean I'm clearly no expert as I'm not pregnant 😂 but I'm doing vitamins, tracking ovulation and attempted SMEP.

So I know this sounds crazy but earlier I said to myself 'if only the universe could give me a sign to let me know if I was pregnant'
I just got home and there's an open 'congratulations on your baby boy' card on my hall stand. I said to my fiancé what's this and he was like a card that was sent to our address but obviously not for us.

Is that or is that not weird!!!!!

Jumping on this thread as you all seem so lovely and positive and I need a safe space to vent, cheer and hopefully celebrate a BFP. I'm due for implant removal next month so just getting my head round everything. Don't want to put too much pressure on but want to make sure we're giving ourselves the best possible chance and you gals seem to know yer stuff 😁

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me jumping on... I'm a MN new user and a newbie to TTC as well 😊 we got married last August and started TTC end of July. Had first period post mirena coil removal start of August and a very light brown bleed start September. So many symptoms but x 2 BFN. So I think we just have to wait and see what happens next!

Hi everyone, we're also TTC #1, so hoping I can join you here! 4th cycle trying, we're using a donor so rather than DTD, we just have 2 attempts each month. Puts the pressure on a bit! Last month the timings were really good and DW had lots of pregnancy symptoms so we got pretty excited, and then really disappointed when AF came. But next week is when we try again, so looking forward to the TWW starting up again!
