TTC after MC - July 2020 (Thread 7)

Hi I hope you don’t mind me jumping on this thread as I’m looking for people who know what I’m going through and someone pointed me towards this thread. I miscarried my first Pregnancy in may and had my first af 4/5 weeks later. The next cycle (this one) we dtd a couple of times around ovulation after that I had so many pregnancy symptoms and dared to hope I might have caught again first time. Af showed up today and it’s really knocked me. Feel a bit like it’s all happening again (it really reminded me of the start of my miscarriage the brown spotting the backache and mild cramps), I got very upset. We conceived 1st time with the pregnancy that resulted in miscarriage and I dared to hope this time around might happen again. Tbh I’d rather it take time and have it stick but I didn’t quite expect to feel this disappointed and hopeless afterwards especially since the symptoms I had were so close to my symptoms weeks into my pregnancy. Feel like my bodies playing cruel tricks on me now. Anyway sorry for the long post I just hope to find people that relate to what this feels like x

@VP91x thank you, she's named after mine and my husbands dads. My dh dad died years ago and he was called Nigel and my dad is called Steve so we put them together. Maybe do the star chart and surprises for when she has a poo if she's doing well with weeing. They always do take longer to get the pooing in a potty.

@Jodiem1990 hi just thought I would share my story I had a miscarriage 6th April I then tracked ovulation and got a peak on 25th April and got caught straight away I’m currently nearly 15 weeks so it can definitely happen congratulations xxx

@VP91x Neve is 3, she's a right stubborn little monkey too so I honestly thought we were never going to get it. I was worried about taking her out in knickers and the first couple of times I put a nappy on her but like you had said I was worried it would confused her. Also as it was lockdown we were only going for a walk not out for the day so made it easier. I just would wait until she had had a wee before I went out. Star chart or sticker chart really does work. She is a little older than Bella so it may or may not work for her but worth a try. The hardest thing we found was getting her to recognise when she needed a wee but she soon got it xx

Thanks @VP91x I feel better now. I think you’re all right I should give my body time to recover. Also I have made an acupuncture appointment for next Thursday. I am quite excited about this and getting my body back into balance. Yay! Something to look forward to. Has anyone tried acupuncture? Any experiences to share? Xx

@VP91x ahh she is doing so well with the potty training considering you've only just started and yes hopefully sometime soon I'll get to experience all the madness of parenting 🤪
