Oh my god. I just have to tell SOMEONE.

We have had 5 failed rounds of IVF, the last one failed last year. Spent tens of thousands of pounds to no avail.

My period was late (which is standard really, it's all over the place at the moment) and I thought I'd just do a test so I could put the thought of being pregnant out of my mind and carry on waiting for AF to turn up.

And fuck me it was positive (excuse the language!!). I'm literally beside myself!! I have never had a BFP and was told to stop IVF, there was nothing more they could do.

It's very early, so praying all goes ok, but this is more than I've ever had before.

YAY!!!!!

Congratulations. My older sister and I are fertility drug babies (no IVF then, we’re In our 50’s) my parents felt that they had bea5 the odds twice, then my younger sister appeared, followed by a brother 15 months after her.

@superstar84 I literally thought that at about 3am - oh shit I'd better start taking folic acid! Luckily I have LOADS left over from treatment so at least I can use that up now ☺️
Thanks for the congrats, just doesn't feel real. I know it's such early days but I'm going to allow myself to be excited and positive.

Massive congrats OP. We've a very similar story so I understand exactly how you are feeling.... Also to add to that. After I give birth to my miracle baby he was 17 weeks old when I discovered miracle baby no.2 was on it's way!! They are 2 & 3 now... I too was accepting a life of no kids due to failed ivf and a 2 losses when I found out.
