@Emsnewmum I am in edinburgh yes 😊 to be fair it’s only been 2 weeks ( 3 on Sunday coming ) since I had my last scan but I think it always feels longer when your anxiously waiting to see what the next one brings 😬 wishing you lots of luck on your ttc journey And a positive visit to the epu 🤞🏼🌈 x

Emsnewmum · 17/07/2020 00:07

@girlmum83

Sorry to hear the wait has been so long hope all is well at your scan! Do I remember correctly that you said you are from Edinburgh? I am too, back on to ttc so hopefully in the coming months old be back at that epu with better news!
X

chloedancer897 · 16/07/2020 23:41

Hi all and welcome to the new users.

I was wondering if those with their BFPs could share some insight into what they did? I know you've all done that when you got the BFP and thank you all so much. I've been reading about evening primrose, pineapple core, mooncups, I just want to know what people have done that's actually worked before I start ordering.

AF arrived as expected this evening. So after a quick cry, I'm back on the horse for cycle number 7 million 😂

Girlmum83 · 16/07/2020 23:27

@SmileyT I’m doing ok thanks just taking each day as it comes and keeping myself distracted till my next scan on Monday . The last few weeks have felt like months . Lots of cramping , permanent exhaustion and generally breathless and lacking energy but trying to take it in my stride be positive and still holding on to hope for a happy ending 🙏x

SmileyT · 16/07/2020 23:15

@VP91x @MichT4 yep had pizza, chips and beans and finally in bed now 😴 hope to see some strong opks and temp rises from you respectively tomorrow xx

VP91x · 16/07/2020 22:07

Hey @bxiiboo 🥰 sorry for your loss and you're still having new pains. I would definitely push for the scan as you nebrr know what's going on especially if it is causing the spotting. Give them another ring xx

@SmileyT god, that sounds like the worst evening, no wonder you were irritated. I hope you've eaten now and are relaxed. ❤️

@Bellabubble ah crap, I'm sorry AF turned up. The spotting is annoying, have you ever mentioned it to your GP? (Sorry if you've said before). I've had it too post-MC, I wonder why it happens. That will be nice, at least you can do nice things/be relaxed and DTD will come as part of it and cover you for FW. How was the dog training? Xx

Northernsoul90 · 16/07/2020 22:00

So Sorry for your loss @bxiiboo I haven't experienced it myself no I hope you get it sorted soon xxx

Bellabubble · 16/07/2020 21:51

Sorry - I had a quiet eve yesterday, went to dog training this eve and have missed so much!!

@VP91x af turned up today 🙄 4 days of spotting, which I never used to have before the mc - it’s soooo frustrating! On to the 6th cycle now - made oh take the week off in my fertile week as I think he is so stressed woth work that it isn’t helping (he has gotten busier during lockdown!)

@MrsK21@MichT4 please don’t despair about age (I’m 36) I know many people who have had babies older than me, and most of my friends have had babies in the last 18mths that are my age. I do think that I have taken longer to “recover” post mc - as I’m currently on cd1 of cycle 6, but just wanted to give you some words of encouragement.

@micht4 i have my fingers crossed for some positive opks soon for you - I think there must be something in the fact that hospitals only investigate after 3 mcs - hold on to that hope - I’m sending you lots of positive vibes xx

MichT4 · 16/07/2020 21:49

@1990EM yeah last cycle was looking to be 41 days, I thought the previous at 38 was long enough.
I’ve no idea what’s happening this month. Could be an attempt, could be the real thing, could be nothing. Would be nice if it was some regularity back I must say. And even nicer if it turned out lucky!
How are you today? PCOS is so complicated, much more so than I realised. Looking forward to finding out if I did manage to improve it xx

MichT4 · 16/07/2020 21:47

@bxiiboo welcome and sorry for your loss and also the pain you are in now. Never had that before but I hope the antibiotics help and you get some answers soon

Oh god @SmileyT that would drive me mad! Mainly the not eating after looking forward to a nice meal, but the conversation topics would have irritated me too! I hope you’ve eaten something now? xx

1990EM · 16/07/2020 21:45

@MichT4 it does seem like things are ramping up doesn't it! It's a bit disconcerting when you are used to long cycles like I was (and yours was quite ling last month wasn't it?) But I wonder if all of the hormones surrounding the loss of preganancy kickstarted my ovaries into a normal cycle for once 🙈 not sure if that's a thing or not but maybe with PCOS there is some kind of link!
By the way I never said thanks for explaining what you did about your pcos.. it makes sense about the stress thing, high cortisol is so harmful! I still struggle with PCOS symptoms and despite being a normal weight i know my diet could definitely be better especially as I turn 30 at the end of the year! Can't always eat like a teenager can I! Time to make some better lifestyle choices..

1990EM · 16/07/2020 21:37

@bxiiboo sorry for your loss and what you are going through now. Having had ovarian cysts i know its not nice. If the antibiotics don't make any difference I hope you get scanned soon!

SmileyT · 16/07/2020 21:31

@Girlmum83 how are you doing? x

SmileyT · 16/07/2020 21:30

@Northernsoul90 all good over here thanks for asking... x

@MichT4 well turns out my friend is a bit of a turd (we've been friends for 20yrs) she spent the whole time talking about how she was now under 7 1/2 stone and how she can't possibly eat enough to put on weight and that her boyfriend wants to have a baby but she doesn't know if she really fancies getting fat and giving up wine. The whole thing was exhausting, we also didn't end up eating just getting a drink... very overpriced tonic water for me and I hadn't eaten since breakfast. Sorry for the rant but some people just do my head in 😤

@Lollol86 definitely do another test, 13dpo you'll get a conclusive result 👌🏾 and yes I'll avoid the soya now x

Hi @bxiiboo 👋 sorry I haven't suffered with any pain, if it was me I'd definitely push for a scan if the antibiotics don't work. Doctors can be reluctant to investigate you but you have to advocate for yourself and really push them x

Girlmum83 · 16/07/2020 21:28

@ManchNic tentative congratulations and best wishes for a happy healthy 9 months 🌈💕

Pugprincess · 16/07/2020 21:07

@Lollol86 ok thanks 😊

@Firevie two weeks 😳 damnnn 😆

Firevie · 16/07/2020 21:05

@Pugprincess I’ve had an ERPC on Tuesday and my doc told me no hanky panky for two weeks.

Lollol86 · 16/07/2020 21:01

@Pugprincess I’m only going by what I was told from the hospital lovely, but they said to wait until all bleeding had stopped as it could cause an infection.

@bxiiboo sorry for your loss. I’ve not had that before, have you taken a pregnancy test to rule that out?

bxiiboo · 16/07/2020 20:44

Also, not sure why my post has come up 3 times! Sorry! Confused

bxiiboo · 16/07/2020 20:42

Hi ladies,

I have been following these threads for a while, and just want to say thank you!

I miscarried at 11 weeks in April and have been following these threads since and it's nice to see other people that are going through similar to me (and that I'm not going crazy!)

Been TTC since April with no luck after getting BFP the first trying, I also have bad pains one one side of my pelvis like in my hip area, called the GP today who has given me antibiotics but I'm sure it's not an infection as it doesn't feel like that kind of pain- has anyone else suffered with this at all? I had a very large cyst when pregnant and I'm sure it's still in there but they won't carry out a scan until I have the antibiotics.

I have had cycles like clock work all 28 days since MC but was due on yesterday and having just light brown spotting, again not sure if this is linked to my pain?

Thanks again ladies for keeping me sane these past few months, and sorry for your losses x

Pugprincess · 16/07/2020 20:36

@Lollol86 ah so even if I’ve had a teeny few spots of brown on my pad today is that dangerous to DTD? Sorry first miscarriage so totally new ground for me xx

Lollol86 · 16/07/2020 20:33

@Pugprincess you just need the bleeding to fully stop before DTD to stop infection.

@SmileyT bless you, maybe time to avoid it now, a good sign your body is rejecting something though.

I’m 12 dpo today, stupidly done a test at 10 days and it was negative obviously pretty sure I’m not pregnant. Tempted to do 1 More test tomorrow and if a negative I will move on and wait for next cycle.

Pugprincess · 16/07/2020 20:31

@Northernsoul90 thanks! Yes I feel ready to do it and think bleeding has stopped. Ahhh I hope the tests don’t dick around for ages. Maybe every other day DTD is the best way to cover ourselves till regular cycles back.
