@Lollol86 sorry about ur bfn how many dpo are u?

2020wish · 17/07/2020 10:45

@VP91x ur chart is looking good!

2020wish · 17/07/2020 10:44

@chloedancer897 a lot of women on these mums eat forums swear by low dose aspirin for implantation. It has the same idea as pomegranates juice-thins the blood and allows more blood flow to the uterus to aid in implantation and development of fetus and blood flow through placenta. I’ve started it myself

Pugprincess · 17/07/2020 10:44

@chloedancer897 absolutely. I didn’t track ovulation either when I got preg but you just don’t feel like you can let things be now do you? Like being preg and especially for me knowing it can happen naturally just makes me even more eager to get on with it which I think in turn makes me want to control it and be aware of exactly when to try. I’m concerned I might ovulate really quick and miss it this cycle so if the browns all stayed away today then we will dtd every other day till next period to cover ourselves. My mums been staying with us since mc but she’s going home tomorrow so normal service can resume 😉

chloedancer897 · 17/07/2020 10:38

@Pugprincess I got pregnant with my first completely by accident and my diet was awful. I was 22 though so I imagine I was just really fertile. the month I got pg with my MC, I didn't even track ovulation. But if I'm not actively doing something I'll just blame myself. At least we will be super healthy!

Pugprincess · 17/07/2020 10:35

@chloedancer897 I read somewhere that diet changes and vitamins can take up to 4 months to take proper affect 😩 I mean I got preg on my beige diet and I was only having probably 2 of my 5 a day. I think my biggest factor was stress with work. But I do hope the diet will help things happen quicker and help another baby stick better. Apparently zinc helps prevent miscarriage and that’s in a lot of whole grain foods, I’ve swapped my bread, spaghetti and rice. My weetabix should help too x

MrsK21 · 17/07/2020 10:31

@Northernsoul90 @MichT4 I've been looking at Ava too.I bought a BBT thermometer and have remembered to use it a grand total of zero times thus far.
I think I might buy a second hand one off ebay once I know what is going on with my cycle.

@Northernsoul90 you're my TTC twin with all the same thought processes :)
I think the logic behind not using FMU for OPKs is the hormone develops in the day rather than overnight x

chloedancer897 · 17/07/2020 10:26

@Pugprincess @MichT4 @SmileyT @fafi
Thank you all so much. DH brought me out for a meal last night and we had a big discussion about it all. He is all for continuing with SMEP and all the vitamins so we are trying everything this month. I have a feeling that maybe the fertilised egg just isn't implanting. As my cycle is like clockwork. I know when I'm going to ovulate and when I had all my checks, the doctors saw egg follicles so I'm pretty sure that's all ok. So I'm going to start EPO from today until CD14 then try all the implantation stuff and the mooncup which I've never tried before.

Fx to everyone for the next cycle, here's hoping!

MichT4 · 17/07/2020 10:19

@Northernsoul90 I have an Ava, but I only used it last month and then got PG but now it's on again. So I can't really review it yet.
For me, it's an expensive way to get round the fact I would be rubbish at oral temping - I wouldn't get up early every day and I would probably forget more than I would do it.
I think it's value would come after a few weeks of data collection. Annoyingly I am starting from scratch as falling PG meant that cycle wasn't really normal to get trends, but I'll keep going with it.

MichT4 · 17/07/2020 10:16

@Northernsoul90 they say the surge generally happens early morning, so FMU won't pick it up. So late morning/afternoon is a good time to take them.

I normally try to hold for 3-4 hours, but some days are more successful than others with that. Try not to drink too much either so it's more concentrated. It's a joyous time Smile

How was your HCG this morning?

Northernsoul90 · 17/07/2020 10:15

Also ladies who have an Ava - would you recommend them? I've heard some really good things about them but also others saying not to bother. I don't want to fork out if it's not worth it?

MichT4 · 17/07/2020 10:13

@Bellabubble thank you for your positive vibes, always appreciated. I'm trying to be hopeful, no reason to think otherwise I suppose - not until they say there's a reason for it.

And thank you also for your reassurance with age. Like @MrsK21 I think it's hard not to think about it. I'd never really thought too much about it, given I wasn't in a position before to have a baby, but all of a sudden I see so much doom and gloom around age - where did it come from? Not long ago it was considered more likely that women would wait til their 30's. My sister has fallen PG at 40, so I know it can happen. I'm sure we will all be just fine

Good to hear your OH has the fertile week off. Maybe book to go somewhere. I'm trying to do that now but it's not easy finding somewhere to stay!

Northernsoul90 · 17/07/2020 10:12

Sorry for the bfns @Lollol86 @littletandme 😞 try to stay positive for next cycle! 💖

When doing opks what is the reason for not using fmu? Is it because you could get a false peak? It's strange how it's kind of the opposite to pregnancy tests. Also how long are you supposed to hold for before doing one?

Pugprincess · 17/07/2020 10:07

@MrsK21 I’m only doing the dog walking at the moment. Want to be taking him for a good hour walk each day. But I suppose I could also be doing something that gets my heart rate up? Like a proper workout. I’ve always wanted a treadmill so maybe this is my excuse 😅 I have read about exercise a couple of times a week helps fertility.

I know what you mean about age, I’m 32 and I don’t have another 5 years to waste trying to get preg again 😩 praying it happens quick or il be down fertility clinic no doubt. I know it’s pressure but I think I’m giving myself 3 natural cycles and then il go back x

Pugprincess · 17/07/2020 10:02

@fafi hey Yh it was awful, you just hope and don’t think it will happen to you, I didn’t realise the 1 in 4 statistics either. Yes I’m in pregnacare original. I’m actually taking the ones you take when preg not the conception ones but I got preg on the original ones so 🤷🏼‍♀️ Xx

MrsK21 · 17/07/2020 10:01

@Pugprincess your doggo looks so cute! Your diet changes sound really good and manageable. Do you also do any exercise? It's a good idea to try and fit something in a couple of days a week which might help your stress levels too?

@littletandme sorry to see your test is negative and AF might be on her way. CPs can be so cruel. Hope you have a nice weekend lined up to hopefully take your mind off things x

@VP91x fx your temps are looking good, really hope this is your month! Painting skirting boards sounds no fun though, are you doing much over the weekend?

@Bellabubble thanks for your words of encouragement, I know 33 isn't old it's just niggling at me a bit as I'm getting closer to 35 when fertility supposedly declines. I feel like I've spent 5 months on this mc already even though I was only 7.5 weeks when we lost it and I'm suddenly acutely aware that we should be trying each month

MichT4 · 17/07/2020 09:49

@VP91x me too. Like just tell you exactly when you will ovulate and that's that.
Painting sounds fun...I think? xx

VP91x · 17/07/2020 09:39

@MichT4 annoying isn't it! Wish they made them simpler. I'm currently painting skirting boards! Xx

MichT4 · 17/07/2020 09:29

@VP91x not yet. I was holding, and then my brother in law popped in and without thinking I had a coffee and another pee, so now on hold again until 1 ish I suppose 🙄. Got to get back used to the hold life

Much planned today? xx

Lollol86 · 17/07/2020 09:14

@VP91x thank you, I will continue to do cb in the morning too

VP91x · 17/07/2020 09:08

@fafi weather looks like it is going to be so nice, yes feeling good 🥰

@MichT4 🙈🙈 hopefully the soreness goes, did you do another opk? Xx

@littletandme sorry it was a negative 😔 get a nice treat for the weekend and keep positive for next cycle ❤️

@Lollol86 sorry it was a negative too! But yes this will be a good reset/fresh start now for you. I normally start testing from CD8 and test around 12/4/8pm but you could 2/6pm if you want to do just a couple a day xx

Lollol86 · 17/07/2020 08:53

I tested this morning and it was a BFN, Although I’m gutted I’m actually ok, I didn’t expect to fall pregnant just yet. Going to get my first after my mc out of the way and then pray it happens for us. I’m going to order some cheap opks today, when do you start testing with them? And do you test a few times a day from the start or only around ovulation?

littletandme · 17/07/2020 08:48

14dpo, not looking promising. Also had a temp drop this morning to almost pre-ovulation levels and my CM is pinky tinged so looks like AF is on her way. Hopefully next cycle will be the one!

MichT4 · 17/07/2020 08:24

@VP91x I’m fine thanks, a beautiful sunny day. As expected I can’t walk particularly well, but other than that I’m ok. You?
Waiting to hear if I’m meeting my boss this morning which will ruins my hold for an OPK 😂 xx

fafi · 17/07/2020 08:23

@VP91x good thanks - so glad it's Friday! And there are some blue skies at last!! I hope you're well xx
