TTC after MC - July 2020 (Thread 6)

@2020wish I'm 17/18 dpo now. I got a positive opk in the evening the a peak on CB digital the next morning, so counting ovulation assay after that, but guess it could be one day earlier/later. My app said I was due Monday and I tested Tues but I was fairly sure by then because I always spot from a few days before and I hadn't had any. I'm sorry about your bfn but I definitely think it could be too early to tell, so I wouldn't count yourself out yet!

@MichT4 I'm so sorry you've had to go through this again, it's awful. The only thing I would say about getting a negative test so early is that you can try again as soon as you're ready, which is a positive. After my erpc it took 10 weeks to get a negative test and nearly sent me over the edge, but after the miscarriage I got a negative really quickly and honestly it was relief and my body got back to it's normal cycle so much quicker. It's good you doctor has taken you seriously and ordered tests etc. It's so so worrying I know, there are no platitudes really and the only thing that can make it better is a healthy baby.

In terms of symptoms, I had kindof aches and twinges from about 5dpo, which made me cry to my husband that we were out again, as really thought it must be AF. The only thing was that I don't normally feel it so early, and after a week I started to think maybe...
Also had the odd bit of nausea and slightly aches boobs, but that's fairly typical before AF anyway. I've thought I had symptoms so many times and not been pregnant I didn't want to get my hopes up, but it was the lack of spotting that really made me think maybe I was pregnant.

@HopeForRainbowbaby I took the test on Tues, 15 dpo. I have only ever tested early once as I find a bfn harder as it just makes the wait for the next fertile window seem even longer.

Thank you all for the congratulations and positive thoughts. I'm well aware that at the moment it's just a positive test and there's so so far to go, but it's a start, and I'll take it x

Just had a reassuring phone call with my manager. I’ve been so worried going to back to work this week after being off from March (shielding for pregancy) then 2 months sick due to two more losses. And now I’m due back this week just when I’m finding out if I’m pregnant again or not. I’m a nurse in an icu covid ward.

But manager was so understanding and said that because I’m actively trying she doesn’t want any more stress on me esp when I’m trying so she’s allocating me away from the red zones and to tell her if I am as soon as I know and she will make sure I’m protected further. She’s also referring me to staff support for counselling to help me. Feeling a lot better returning to work now whether or not I get my BFP

@2020wish I have a friend that gave birth 5 days ago. Feel the same as you, happy for her but also sad it’s not me. I know she has had a MC in the past so I am extra happy for her but it’s so hard as she had her MC after me and I still haven’t got pg again.

8dpo is early to test so you are not out yet, fingers crossed for you! X

@2020wish I did that too with FRER. They're not my friends anymore! I even ripped my tests open convinced I would see something. 8DPO is incredibly early. Don't lose hope yet x

@VP91x I know I couldn’t believe it when I turned the test over and seen the indentation. It was the frers of Amazon. I’ve ordered loads of there and never had that

@fafi I know :( and that friend that is due the same time as me didn’t even want to get pregnant :( I actually begged her for laugh to start trying along side me so we could be bump buddies. And low and behold she found out she was pregnant same
Week as me but still said i scudded her and that she wasn’t trying. But yet it’s me who miscarried :( I know that’s lame to be annoyed over but can’t help myself :(

@2020wish that sounds so hard knowing that could be you hopefully in a few days you'll get a BFP!

@littletandme how far along are u? Ok the beginning tests can be so temperamental. Fingers crossed for stronger lines next time you test

@fafi I think as long as it stays above cover line and it known to have a dip of temp around implantation time. Fingers crossed

So I dunno why or what processed me but of course I tested this morning and got a bfn! At 8dpo lol I actually thought I seen a line on a frer so I opened it to find a really bad indentation line along the back. Never had one like that. So just disposed of them.

My friend had her baby 4 days ago and is sending pics every day. I’m so happy for her but sad at the same time. I’m calling today to see the baby. My other friend who is due when I would of been due just posted that she can now feel her baby kick :( should of been me. Ugh

Hi everyone, as usual I'm trying to keep up! Welcome to the new joiners and sorry to hear your stories.

I've been a bit quiet as I'm absolutely terrified, but I took a couple of tests on Tues, and this it what they say.

If anyone needs reminding (I always do!) I'm 39, 40 next month. We lost our son Henry at 18 months old, 16 months ago. I had a tfmr in Nov last year at 10 weeks, and a natural miscarriage at 8 weeks in April.

I am so so scared about all the what if's, but trying to be positive and hopeful. It's so hard because it's impossible to assume it'll all be ok anymore, but I am trying to accept that I am scared, and continue to be hopeful in spite of that.

As I was catching up with the thread there were so many people I wanted to comment to, but once I've read through it all I can never remember who I wanted to comment to and what I wanted to say! Thinking of you all though x

@MichT4 It must be so hard seeing the negative but as @SmileyT said on the positive side hopefully this means your body will reset quite quickly for your cycles to return. Hope you are okay ❤️
