Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

@Wearenotyourkind so sorry I'm only getting back to this now. Over the weekend we found out my mum has cancer so it's been crazy. They found a tumour in her rectum and we are waiting on another appointment for a ct scan to see if its spread or not which is stressful.
Sorry af got you xxx no I won't be using SI again it made my cycle 31 days instead of 28

AF has arrived in full force this morning. I am feeling okay about it though. I am trying to be kinder to my body and not at war with it. I'm trying to think that it's a good sign my cycle is back to normal now after the MC and I'm trying to thank it for working properly. Also trying to think that it gives me another month to get fitter and lose some more weight. I'm keeping up with swimming twice a week and gym twice a week. I'm finding it really helpful to have something else to focus on. I've had my first 2 counselling sessions now and am finding this helpful. Im also thinking of giving acupuncture a go and might book in the consultation with the fertility specialist guy I've found in my area. All these things will hopefully help me feel that I'm taking more control over my life and my body. Sorry that was so long! 💜

Happy belated birthday @Positivity2019 🥳 so exciting about your house! And great to have something else to focus on. I absolutely hear what you're saying about getting older - I turn 35 next month and am dreading it. Good idea to try and stay relaxed during FW...easier said than done though!

Sorry AF got you too @Missgoldilocks. I don't know about you, but I'm definitely not bothering with the SI again this month - they caused way more stress! Are you still trying self insemination?

So annoying to hear of further delays @hwotsit - as if you haven't waited long enough! Let us know how you get on with seed cycling, I'd be interested to hear! Funnily enough, I already take magnesium supplements to help with restless legs at night, so hoping it has a dual benefit!

So hard not to fall into the frantic FW sex trap @MF1981 - we are definitely guilty of that too. Hope you're doing well so far this month!

6 normal blastocysts sounds really positive @jx0x0! Sorry to hear about your thick lining though - it's such a bloody emotional rollercoaster, isn't it. Don't blame you for having a few glasses of wine after all the poking and prodding you've been through, good on you!

Much love to you all - amazingly strong and resilient women 💜

Thanks for all the kind messages about my house. We are incredibly excited!!
I am just entering my fertile window and we are busy DTD and trying to stay relaxed. What will be will be I guess. I have to try to shift some weight myself, especially if we end up going down the IVF route but it’s so hard.

Positivity2019 · 22/09/2020 21:22

@hwotsit how frustrating about your referral. That’s just what you need, delays!! As if things aren’t slow enough with Covid holding everything up. Hope it doesn’t hold things up too long.

Positivity2019 · 22/09/2020 21:17

@Missgoldilocks I’m so sorry to hear that you are feeling well and truly fed up with all of this. 15 months is a long ole time to be plugging away at something with only disappointment. I think it sounds like a great idea to step back a bit from all the routine of it and just enjoy being with your partner. It is so hard to maintain the constant month to month crap of TTC. Like @hwotsit says, doing it every 2-3 days will give you as much a likelihood of success as using all the sticks and tracking. I wish I could give you a hug, you can do this and one day you will be having baby cuddles and this will all be behind you. ❤️

jx0x0 · 22/09/2020 17:47

Hey everyone,

Sorry to read that some of you are struggling. I've had a very up and down month too so I feel you. We've got this though!

@hwotsit I am sorry to hear your GP messed up with not getting your DH's STD tests done. How frustrating!!!! Could you get them done privately? Would probably cost about a hundred and fifty quid but may be worth it if it saves you waiting around for longer than you need to. I hope the acupuncture went well. Love to you.

@MF1981 and @Missgoldilocks I think @hwotit is definitely right. 2-3 times a week throughout the month is defo the best way to go. Having said that I defo fall into the trap of wanting to go full steam ahead every day during fertile week too! The recommended way is probably better for energy levels tho!

@Positivity2019 So exciting about your house. We are planning a refurb and I love looking at inspo online. Stuff like that really helps take your mind off things. Are you going to do any decorating once you're in? I am sorry your birthday was hard. You have time tho, don't worry.

@Missgoldilocks and @Wearenotyourkind sorry you're cycles have been delayed. Sounds like it's something to be avoided in future. Has AF arrived for either of you? Keeping fingers crossed that the witch stays away!

I've had a mixed week. I got PGS testing results back and we have 6 normal blastocysts for transfer. I was really happy with that result because my consultant says chromosomic-ally normal embryos have a 60% success rate. On the more tricky side of things during my IVF they noticed my lining is very thick. They thought it may be due to stims hormones but I've had some scans this month which showed it's still thick so I had a endometrial biospy last week. I was panicked but my doctor said worst case scenario I will have to go on progestin (the pill) for three months to thin my lining. I am hoping I get the results this week. The waiting is hard but I am trying to stay positive with lots of walks and enjoying stuff like having baths that I couldn't do during IVF stims! I've also had a few glasses of wine which was lovely. The little things really make such a big difference.

Big love to you all as usual!

MF1981 · 22/09/2020 15:00

Sorry to hear you guys are finding it tough. I must admit we’ve fallen into the same trap around only dtd around ovulation and it’s not the norm for us as a couple at all.

@Positivity2019 I'm so glad you're keeping busy with your house, I find it's always a blessing when we have something to dive into! Hope all is going well?

Thank you, but I've just done a pregnancy test and it's negative, due on tomorrow and af cramps kicking in full force today. I feel sad but I needed to know because this waiting around was just doing my head in. I do feel quite concerned that for the last 15 months I've not had one whiff of a bfp but I need to try and focus on other things now I really do. I have gained weight through this process and I have literally lost all motivation for everything that doesn't revolve around getting pregnant. Nothing makes me happy anymore not even the gym and that used to be my happy place. Me and oh already had a talk yesterday because we don't touch each other unless it's fertile week really and I'm sick of it and he clearly is. I'm not going to force us to dtd 4 times around ovulation it hasn't worked anyway. I'm just going to make sure we do it twice around ovulation and that's it. I need to not obsess every day it's literally draining everything away!

Good luck to all waiting to test x

Hi there lovely ladies how are you all? Things have been hectic getting stuff sorted for the house. We have a 10 week timeline so may get the keys mid November. It’s definitely giving me something else to focus on just now. AF arrived as expected last Monday 14th and I’m not gonna lie I was unbelievably emotional mon and tues. I was semi convinced we’d managed to conceive again and I don’t know why so when my period arrived I was devastated. Then it was my birthday Saturday which was an amazing day with family but that’s me now 36 and It just feels like time is ticking away from me. Anyway, I feel ok now. Ready to mush on for this month and see what happens.

@Wearenotyourkind how are things? Have you started counselling? Well done on your fitness journey but I hope you had a lovely weekend with your friend!!
I’ve thought about taking SI a few times like you guys but I worry that I might do more harm than good so I’ve shied away.

@Missgoldilocks Hope your son had a very happy birthday. Are you still having period symptoms? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you getting some good news though as I know I had cramps before I got a positive and so did some friend of mine.

@hwotsit @jx0x0 @MF1981 @Lemurville hope you are all doing fine.

Wearenotyourkind · 21/09/2020 12:25

@Missgoldilocks Aw I feel the same - just always presume I'm not pregnant. It's so fucking hard, isn't it. But I do think we are all incredibly strong women for going through this shit month after month. In terms of symptoms, when I did get my BFP, I was convinced I was about to come on as had cramps, bloating, PMT. Also had a lot of headaches in TWW (10 day wait in my case). Keep your chin up sweet xx

Missgoldilocks · 21/09/2020 09:54

@Wearenotyourkind yeah and it's made it a longer wait :/ I would have come on on Sunday not all this malarkey of waiting 😥 do you think you could be pregnant? There's always a chance. I just feel pretty defeated like it's not going to happen till I get medical help, this is so so hard to go through every month 😩😣 as you all know x

OP posts:
Wearenotyourkind · 20/09/2020 20:26

Oh that's good...hoping it doesn't come at all obviously though! CD28 today, so would ordinarily be due tomorrow. No symptoms yet though. With 3 extra days, I'd be due on on Thursday. Will see what happens, I guess. Don't think I'll try the SI again next month though as feel like it's caused more stress 🙄

Missgoldilocks · 20/09/2020 20:21

@Wearenotyourkind thank you! He had a fab time. No it hasn't come yet so I'm guessing it'll be 3 days late? Has yours come? Xx

OP posts:
Wearenotyourkind · 20/09/2020 17:45

Did AF arrive @Missgoldilocks? X

Wearenotyourkind · 19/09/2020 14:33

Aw happy bday to your son! @Missgoldilocks 🥳

Missgoldilocks · 19/09/2020 14:06

@Wearenotyourkind I don't know because I was getting such bad period pains yesterday I felt like how I do a few days before af starts so I think I might start tomorrow x
Don't worry, allow yourself the weekend and jump back on it tomorrow. I went gym today but we've had loads of beuthday cake and pizza since it was my son birthday yesterday x

OP posts:
Wearenotyourkind · 19/09/2020 12:00

@Missgoldilocks I'm not entirely sure when AF would be due now. Do you still think your cycle will be 3 days longer during to SI? I'm at by friend's this weekend, so diet and exercise has gone out the window 🙄 hope you have a good weekend xx

Missgoldilocks · 17/09/2020 18:13

@Wearenotyourkind hahaha!! Fingers crossed hey, when are you due?? I spoke to a doctor on the phone yesterday because I convinced myself I have endo and she was ever so lovely, she said you aren't abnormal until you haven't gotten pregnant for 2 years. Which made me feel heaps better actually, now I need to find some patience 😅😂
My af is due this Sunday but because I O late guessing it's due 3 days after Sunday xx

OP posts:
Wearenotyourkind · 17/09/2020 17:01

@Missgoldilocks oh no!!!! That sounds bloody rubbish ☹️ I don't think I've noticed any side effects. But I do also regret taking them as I wanted to bring my ovulation forward not delay it! I guess it just shows how desperate we are though after so long TTC that we try anything. Hang in there lovely....even with your sexy spots and bloating, this could still be your month xx

Missgoldilocks · 17/09/2020 14:33

@Wearenotyourkind hey how are you? Are you getting side affects from the isoflavones?? I find myself to be really bloated and super spotty AND emotional lol pretty sure they've messed up my hormones

OP posts:
Missgoldilocks · 15/09/2020 13:02

@Wearenotyourkind it's definitely a good start! I go gym a lot I just need to sort out my eating, I eat healthy most of the time but I make big portions lol so I need to sort that out!! Yes I'm hoping it will make af come later no? Have you read anything about it? Because if your LP is a certain length won't it stay that length anyway instead of going shorter because it depends on when you ovulate? I'm curious to know now xx
