Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

All good here. Just waiting really! I start IVF meds with my next period which is due 6th November. I found out that we’re not allowed to try naturally this month so that’s a bit disappointing but I guess we’re pretty much resigned to the fact we’re doing IVF now. Hope everyone else is doing ok x

jx0x0 · 16/10/2020 09:54

@Positivity2019 I am sorry AF came. Sending love to you. Great that your cycles are regulating though. That must be a silver lining at least. The is a fresh cycle with new hope so fingers crossed you get your BFP before Christmas. Also great that you're contacting your doctor for blood tests. I always think the more action the better. Be prepared to be pushy too. I have discovered that even with private clinics you have to push to get the tests and answers that you want.

@Missgoldilocks Your poor sister. That must be very hard. And the doctor calling her 'quirky' is just offensive. Are they trying her on a new protocol this month? I have heard that sometimes changing the IVF medications can get you very different / improved results if things don't work out the first time. Again tell her to be pushy and ask for details of what they plan on doing differently this time.

How is everyone else? I hope you're all staying positive. There is a good podcast called BFN that I have been listening to. It's very informative and nice to hear the experiences from other women.

Love to all. X

@jx0x0 also hurray for the biopsy results!! That's amazing, you have a lovely healthy lining for that bubba :) hope all goes well for your transfer!! My poor sister isn't really reacting well to the meds for ivf, she went for the pulling of the eggs and only managed to get one which didn't fertilise so she has to go through the whole cycle again, she's very upset plus the doctor keeps telling her she's quirky so she feels it's her fault its not it working now. Fingers crossed this cycle will be better for her anyhow and I await your good news too! :) xx

@Positivity2019 sorry to hear af got you :( but glad for the 27 day cycle! This journey is very hard and it's hard to stay positive! I'm going to really try though. Had more news that someone else is pregnant, just feels like there must be an issue seeing as it hasn't happened and I think unexplained is the worst because you can't fix it. Anyway ramble ramble lol I have no idea what dpo I am, I don't feel pregnant I feel pretty normal, but I'm happy and will be spending the day with my friend which will be really nice since I never really see anyone! I hope you're well x

@jx0x0 hey there! Yes lots of amazing pizza with Mortadella pistachio and lemon on it!! Literally the best pizza of my life haha. Hope you're well x

@Wearenotyourkind how are you hun? X

@jx0x0 hiya, unfortunately AF got me on Sunday, right on time. I was both upset and cried because I was sure I was preggars because it was a 27 day cycle and that never happens and also trying to be upbeat and positive because getting a 27 day cycle is great and hopefully things are improving as far as my cycles go.
I play to make an appointment for the bloods. It’s time for some more action and hopefully we can have some good news on the new year.
You must be buzzing with excitement about your transfer. I hope it all goes well. Make sure to take care of yourself and let us know how it goes.

Hope everyone else is doing fine.

jx0x0 · 12/10/2020 14:38

Hey everyone,

I hope you all had great weekends and are doing ok on this rainy Monday morning.

@Positivity2019 - Any sign of AF yet? Keeping everything crossed you! Defo contact your GP re. day 21 bloods. It's just a simple blood test that takes 2 mins and will be able to put your mind at rest or if there is a progesterone issue they can treat you accordingly.

@Wearenotyourkind - I am glad you're feeling more positive and that counseling is helping you. I find stuff like diet and exercise so helpful. There are so many things that are out of control so it's nice to feel like you're doing something proactive. I found downloading a steps app really helped. I have been doing lots of walking in the parks near me and it's nice to see the distances etc.Good luck with the 21 bloods. Hopefully that will give you some answers about your LP.

@Missgoldilocks - Good news about your mum! That must be such a relief. I hope all goes well for her from here. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday and had a good FW. Jealous you got to go to Italy. How dreamy! Did you have lots of pizza?

@hwotsit - How are you doing? I hope you're ok and navigating your way through your referral. Has your GP managed to sort everything for you?

I got my endometrium biopsy results back and they were all normal. Turns out I just have a thick lining (?) but all the cells etc are normal. Was a big relief. Went for my baseline scan and was convinced I'd still have to go on the pill for a month to thin it out but it was 5mm (previously it had been 9mm on CD3.) So to my surprise it looks like I'm having a transfer this month. Doing a medicated cycle and for some reason these meds are making me feel really emotional / anxious. I can't stop crying which is not like me! Transfer should be in about 10 days though so I don't have to be on them for too long. All feels very surreal. I know I mustn't get my hopes up though, so am trying to remain as neutral as possible.

Love to you all.

Positivity2019 · 09/10/2020 19:20

@Missgoldilocks what amazing news about your mum. You must be relieved. I would love to go to Italy at some point though no hols planned at the moment. Maybe we can get away next year.
I hate it when you are mid way through the month, busy testing and you don’t get the results you’re expecting and boom, you run out of tests. I stopped using tests mid way through this cycle. I’d been testing 10 days and nothing so I decided screw it. Looks like you’ve been covering all your bases thought.

@Wearenotyourkind thanks for the advice about day 21 bloods. If this is another bust cycle I may give the doc a call on Monday. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you getting an extra special bday prezzie this year.

I am currently CD26 and this due on Sunday. However this is according to my Ava bracelet data. Typically I have been starting AF on day 24/25 so I am a bit over what’s normal for me. Not feeling symptomatic for either pregnancy or period and I’ve taken a pregnancy test yesterday and today and both negative. Soooo I’m guessing I’m not pregnant this month and I’m just waiting for the inevitable.

Wearenotyourkind · 09/10/2020 11:46

@Missgoldilocks that is great news re your mum! Really hope the op is successful for her. I think AF is due on 22nd, assuming I'll go back to 28 day cycle again after SI fucked it all up. My bday is on 25th, so would be amazing to get BFP, otherwise will be sulking with AF on my bday. I turn 35, so already feel shit about this as really though I'd be pregnant/a mum by now.

Missgoldilocks · 09/10/2020 11:29

@Wearenotyourkind Ohh well I hope it lengthens your LP xx
I don't know if I've ovulated or not :( my cervix hasn't risen and softened as it usually does the day of ovulation and I ran out of ovulation tests yesterday morning so I have no idea! We dtd cd11 cd14 (twice) cd15 and we will tonight at cd17 just to cover bases really but such a fucking annoyance!! I've been wet but no more ewcm so I really haven't a clue!! When's af or bfp due for you?
We got the news today that my mums cancer hasn't spread its within the bowels Thank god so they will operate to take it out xx

Hey lovelies - happy Friday.

@Missgoldilocks argh that is such a ballache 😫 have you ov'ed yet?? Funnily enough, I think I have ov'ed 4 days earlier this month - but think that is down to upping my vit b6 and vit b complex to twice a day. Feeling good as hopefully it'll finally lengthen my LP (even if no BFP). I def won't touch SI again though. How is your mum doing? Any news? 💗

@Positivity2019 so it was actually the acupuncturist that suggested I request day 21 bloods from GP when I mentioned my short LP. So I just rang GP as asked and she was happy to arrange. Any AF/BFP symptoms yet or are you trying not to think about it? 💕

Missgoldilocks · 08/10/2020 09:43

@Positivity2019 we went to Bologna and Florence, it was really nice thank you.

How are you feeling for this cycle? I still haven't ovulated but we dtd last night for good measure. It might happen tonight or tomorrow

Positivity2019 · 07/10/2020 21:26

@Missgoldilocks so glad you had a great trip to Italy. I bet that was just what you and your OH needed. Where about in Italy were you?
That must be very frustrating that you think the SI have changed you cycle for good. I hope that’s not the case though and it just needs a cycle or two. I hope you hear about your mum soon.

@Wearenotyourkind thanks for that, lately I feel like I’m thin on the positivity but I do try. I’m feeling myself relaxing more and more month after month and trying to just let nature take its course rather than stress. My B vitamins have ran out and I haven’t got any more and I’m not buying any sticks either.
AF due on Sunday sooooo I guess it’s coming up for that time of the month again.
Tell me, how do you go about booking that test? I’ve no clue how to go about all the fertility stuff. I presume it’s called my GP but I am really bad at this kind of thing.

Missgoldilocks · 07/10/2020 19:39

@Wearenotyourkind no way. Actually I was going to ask you, has your cycle gone back to normal? I'm quite peed off really, today I should have ovulated as per my normal cycle but that hasn't happened and the ovulation stick is faint as anything! I think the isoflavones have changed my cycle for good 😤

@Missgoldilocks glad to hear you had a good time in Italy! Good idea re not going sex mad during your FW too 😂 I totally get what you mean though. We put so much pressure on ourselves (and our partners), that it becomes unmanageable. I take it you haven't bothered with the soy again this month? Keeping fingers crossed re your mum too.

@Positivity2019
I think it's your positivity that has worn off on me! How are you doing? Have you considered any counselling re the MC? I am finding it helpful to process the loss and grief.

I am also booked in for day 21 bloods next week to see what my Progesterone is up to - due to short LP. So will see what insight that brings.

Hope everyone else is hanging in there ❣️

Missgoldilocks · 07/10/2020 12:33

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. We are still waiting on results.

How is everyone doing? I had a great break in Italy and we relaxed instead of doing loads of sex lol which feels really good. Cd15 today and dtd yesterday and will do this evening and leave it at that, it feels good to not be pushing fir loads and loads of sex and since it hasn't made a difference we may as well be comfortable!

Hope everyone is having a fab day xxx

@Wearenotyourkind I just love your positivity. It’s amazing. It’s great you are focusing on these other things.

I hope everyone is fine. You are all amazing in your positivity and although we have hard days we all keep plodding on!!

Wearenotyourkind · 03/10/2020 10:42

Thinking of you @Missgoldilocks 💜

I still also have ups and downs, good days and bad days @Positivity2019. But what I am trying to do is do things that make me feel like I am taking some of the control back and trying to do positive things for my body, instead of what I was doing - hating it because I am overweight, hating it because I had a MC, hating it because I have fibroids, hating it because I have depression and ultimately, hating it because I'm still not pregnant. So I'm trying to take back some of the control - exercising, eating well, counselling and acupuncture. Don't get me wrong, there are times I still feel desperately sad about losing my baby, but I feel I am doing all I can now to nourish body and look after my mental health. Gosh, sorry that was so long!

Sending love to all of you on this rainy day ❤️

So sorry to hear this @Missgoldilocks x

Positivity2019 · 30/09/2020 19:23

Hi everyone and thanks for the bday messages.
@hwotsit sorry to hear that’s more delays. That’s must be very annoying. That’s interesting about the magnesium, I’ve never read that. So much advice out there it’s so hard to know what is the right things to do.

@Missgoldilocks I am so sorry to hear about your mum. It’s such an awful thing and you must be feeling so worried. I hope she can have successful treatment and be on the mend.

@Wearenotyourkind how are you doing? Glad to hear you are finding counselling beneficial and you seem so positive going forward which is amazing.

I am just having lots of ups and downs. Just trying to take the days as they come and not be too hard on myself. I’m trying to focus on my new house and the upcoming festives but some days I feel pretty down.

jx0x0 · 29/09/2020 16:01

@Missgoldilocks I am so sorry to hear this. Sending lots of love and strength. X

Wearenotyourkind · 29/09/2020 11:26

@Missgoldilocks
Gosh what an awful shock for you all. I'm not surprised it hasn't sunk in properly yet. Just be kind to yourself and make sure you do what you need right now. Thinking of you xxxx

Missgoldilocks · 29/09/2020 10:38

@Wearenotyourkind thank you. Its just surreal you never think it will be you or your family going through it, I've always been scared of cancer for her though because she has always had a drinking problem and smokes loads. I just hope this is a wake up call for her and that they can cut it out and she can change her life around 😔 it hasn't really hit me yet. Once we know more details I think that's when it will hit me so for now I'm trying to look at the best case scenario and just hope to god that it is that and not further along. We will know more on Friday xx
