Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

@jx0x0 glad to hear from you and glad to hear all going well with your pregnancy. Won’t be long until your previous wee bundle is here.

@hwotsit how are you doing?

@Wearenotyourkind I hope you are doing fine.

Hey guys,

I am sorry to see there has been no more BFPs but sounds like you've all made tonnes of progress with tests/referrals and plans which is really great.

@Positivity2019 So great that you got a LH surge this month. Fingers and toes tightly, tightly crossed for you and your DH. Praying this month is your month.

@hwotsit As @MF1981 says don't worry about your progesterone for IVF. Most people (including me) do whats called 'medicated cycles' during IVF. This means that all your natural hormones are shut down anyway and they can control all your levels through medication. I did that because my estrogen was too high so they needed to control my levels - which they did amazingly well once my natural hormones were shut down. It's amazing and comforting the amount of control they can have over your cycle during IVF. As well as progesterone pessaries I was given progesterone injections to take until 12 weeks. They were called 'Lubion.' It may be worth you asking about those if you end up on the IVF path as my consultant said the success rates of women using Lubion as well as pessaries has been really promising. (I think it's reality new here - but more common in the USA.)

@Wearenotyourkind Congrats on the weight loss that's so impressive. Well done! 3 stone is such an incredible achievement and I am sure will do wonders for fertility or prep for any upcoming treatments.

@MF1981 Fingers crossed for your scan. You must be over the moon! Let us know how it goes.

I am 25 weeks now. All good with the baby so I can't complain at all but have been having quite bad anxiety for the last two months. Slowly coming out of it but I think the pregnancy hormones have really affected me (far more than the IVF hormones weirdly.)

Love to all.

@hwotsit sorry to hear you’re feeling low. But you’re not out for the month until your out so I’ll be keeping things crossed for you. Temp above the baseline in the Am is very positive. Also Happy Anniversary to you and your partner!!

@MF1981 good to hear from you, glad you’re keeping fine and Happy Birthday!!!!

I have my fertility consultation on the 21st April. It’s a video call so must be going over all the test results we have had so far. My second progesterone test was 7.2 so again super low. Had a full blood work up done after that and Testosterone, LH, FSH, blood sugar, prolactin, kidney function and cholesterol are all normal. Progesterone was 4.4 but i was on my period so I guess that’s normal for that time of month.
My partner has his SA booked for 2nd April so it’s just a waiting game here and keep trying in the meantime.
Some good news for this cycle is I did get a peak reading on my clear blue advanced monitor. Never get a peak and the only other time I got a peak on that thing was last year when I got pregnant. So trying to feel positive that I liked ovulated this month but not holding my breath for a BFP of anything. Just happy that at least some months I ovulate.

I’m ok thank you @hwotsit - the nausea come and goes. Luckily it’s not been too bad so far today - it’s my 40th birthday and I didn’t want to miss out on cake! Scan is 2 weeks tomorrow 🤞🏻

@hwotsit sorry to hear you’re not feeling very positive after this cycle. I think the thing to remember with IVF is you’re pumped full of loads of different drugs and your natural cycle is sometimes switched off so don’t rule yourself out based on the cyclogest not having the desired effect. Still keeping everything crossed for you.

Thanks for that @hwotsit. Man supplements really do add up. It’s so darn expensive all of this. I got my first referral letter in today for the hospital. Cant believe how quick it has come in. However, I also started a new cycle today which is always hard but at least I was prepared for it this month after the blood tests.
Anyway how are you doing? Hope all is well with you.

@hwotsit that information is amazing. Thank you so much. It’s been so overwhelming and although I have read so much, including helpful info in threads on mumsnet, it’s so hard to just get clear info without having to search endless threads.
I’ve though a lot about a private consultation. I researched a little on a Tuesday when I was off. I do often wonder if perhaps my progesterone is dropping too soon and that is the problem. I would really like some kind of progesterone supplement to see if that makes a difference. I have another blood test today. This time it was a full blood work up and I should get the results on Monday. I may ask about getting progesterone prescription, see what they say.
Can I ask what other supplements the consultant advised you to take?

Hi everyone. Hope you’re all fine.
So I got my blood results from the 21 day blood test last Thursday and the result was 7.2 so even lower than the last one. The notes attached to the result was seems likely I’m not ovulating. I called and spoke to a GP and she has referred us for fertility investigations. I’m getting another blood test on Thursday o check testosterone levels. DO is getting SA booked.
I’m nervous and don’t know what to expect from these meetings. My BMI is high, way over the threshold for IVF and I’m scared I am going to get turned away from all help. I am working on that but it feels like it’s going to take such a long time to get below 30 and I would still like them to do some investigations. I am unsure if your BMI affects the likelihood of being offered IUI?
I was at work when I phoned the results line and after I came off the phone I just burst into tears. My boss sent me home and I took the day off today to regroup. This truly is the hardest think I have ever done.

Positivity2019 · 25/02/2021 18:05

@Wearenotyourkind thanks for the info about the SA, that’s a big help. We will get onto that. I had my repeat blood test today so will get the results on Monday.
How are you doing?

Wearenotyourkind · 21/02/2021 12:28

Ah glad to hear you're doing okay @MF1981. Bet you can't wait for the scan!

MF1981 · 21/02/2021 11:01

@Wearenotyourkind I’m fine thank you. Scan is on Friday. I’ve had a fair bit of cramping and a bit of spotting but the clinic didn’t seem concerned. I have little to no energy and feel nauseous a lot of the time. But I guess they are good signs so no complaints from me!

Wearenotyourkind · 21/02/2021 10:40

Thanks for the positive encouragement re my weight loss 💗 it's weird coz I've literally never ever tried to lose weight before, despite never being happy with my weight. It's like a switch flipped in my brain one day and I just decided to do it and I had the motivation. I'd ideally like to lose another stone.

@Positivity2019 argh so annoying re your test results being inaccurately reported! I had the day 21 progesterone ones repeated a few times too, so glad this is the next step for you. Re the SA - my husband rang the surgery to enquire about this and got a call back. But the person basically said they wouldn't do it until it's been a year since the MC. When I next spoke to my GP (same surgery), she said she didn't agree with this and said she would arrange it. She filled in the form and my husband had to collect it from the surgery, then ring the number for the lab at the hospital to book the "delivery appointment". The lab then sent a pack to the GP surgery for us to collect - this contains the sample pot, sticky label and instructions etc. So now we just wait for the delivery appointment, which isn't for a few more weeks. The sample has to be delivered within an hour (thankfully we live 5 mins away from hospital). There's also other instructions like having abstained from sexual contact for 48 hours before you collect the sample...but no longer than 7 days. I would definitely urge your husband to ring the surgery to make enquiries now as I didn't realise it'd be a while to wait til the delivery appointment. If your GP is helpful, maybe you could also ask them? I've found with these things, it really makes a difference who you speak to. Luckily my GP has been absolutely brilliant though.

How are you doing @MF1981? All good? Have you had your first scan yet?

Great news about your clinic appointment @hwotsit - remind me, is this NHS or private? What are you hoping is the outcome?

Sending love ❤️

Positivity2019 · 20/02/2021 23:46

@hwotsit I absolutely hear you on the jealously front. I have never felt such jealousy before. How is it fair that it just happens so quick for people. I have three good friends expecting at the moment and all due around the same time. I started buying them things today and two of the things I bought we’re just gorgeous so I bought them for us too. We will need it someday I hope.
It’s hard to keep up the positivity, especially when it feels like we are knocking on the door of 2 years. But I truly have faith we will have our day.

Positivity2019 · 20/02/2021 23:43

@Wearenotyourkind Well done you on your weight loss. That’s an amazing achievement. The waiting is so damn hard isn’t it. Just feels like constant waiting for one thing or another.
I am so annoyed about my test results. The email said bloods normal and then when I called to speak with a doc about them, turns out my progesterone is only 9.6. The bit that is normal is my thyroid. I’m so glad I called, I nearly didn’t. Anyway, the test is being repeated next Thursday because my period came two days early this month which means the blood test was done 5 days before my period so the result may have been inaccurate. So after we get this next result I guess we plan the next move. However, I’ve been convinced I have a progesterone issue all along so if it is that then hopefully it can get sorted and maybe we can be on track for a BFP soon.
We are pretty confused about how my partner goes about getting a SA done. I asked the doc on my first call and she just said that isn’t something they do. Does he have to make a doc appointment and discuss a referral for a SA?
I hope you get somewhere with it all soon Hun, it’s about time we got some good news.
