Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

Ah congratulations on your engagement @Positivity2019 🎉 how lovely! How is the wedding planning going? I'm so so sorry to hear about the miscarriages. I can't imagine how difficult it's been for you. I totally get that you've lost hope after everything you've been through, but I have everything crossed for your IVF.

We are very well supported, thank you ❤️

Positivity2019 · 08/08/2023 09:04

Hello @jx0x0 and @Wearenotyourkind
I am so pleased for you about your little ones. Congratulations on the lovely news @jx0x0 I hope it all goes well for you.
@Wearenotyourkind hopefully you are doing ok and are getting what you need for your little one.
Unfortunately I have no news to share. I have had two miscarriages this year. We started IVF proceedings in Oct 2022 and I had hoped to get started with that earlier this year but two surprise pregnancies kept pushing the dates back and both ended as early miscarriages. I am now finally at the stage to be buying medication and it’s getting started in the middle of Sept. I hope it works but I’m empty of hope. My partner proposed to me at Christmas 2022 so planning our wedding has been great in helping me focus on something else.
Great to hear from you both. If I ever get some positive news I will make sure to drop a wee post. Xx

Wearenotyourkind · 08/08/2023 07:42

Aw congratulations @jx0x0 that's amazing news! Hoping for a healthy 9 months for you ❤️

My little boy turns 2 in October...and no, we won't be having any more. He has some additional needs xx

jx0x0 · 07/08/2023 13:34

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing?

@Positivity2019 I really hope you have some positive news to share?

My DC is now 2 - and we started trying to our second 14 months ago. Decided to go for an IUI to see if we can avoid IVF again and the 2nd attempted worked and am now 5 weeks. I am very anxious cos I had a chemical this year... just wondering if any of you are in a similiar situation?

Positivity2019 · 23/09/2022 14:36

Hello @Wearenotyourkind thanks for checking in. I’m not really on here at all anymore, but I got an email alert that someone was on the thread so I’ve popped on. No change for me I’m afraid. The same old slog except I’ve ran out of steam and hope and so now it’s like I’m not even really trying for a baby anymore. I’ve been doing some research into an IVF clinic in Ireland and I’m thinking about going for it. At least reach out to get more info.
Hope you and everyone else one here is doing well and little ones are doing well too. Xx

Wearenotyourkind · 22/09/2022 10:08

Just wondering how everyone is doing? Especially @Positivity2019 xx

wearenotyourkind · 21/03/2022 19:54

jx0x0 · 20/03/2022 20:47

Oh my goodness @hwotsit I am so happy for you! Such good news! My third trimester was my least anxious one - I hope it's the same for you!

@Positivity2019 How are you? I hope weigh loss for ivf is going well. Do you have any upcoming appointments?

Hello @Wearenotyourkind @jx0x0
Can’t have IVF on NHS until I lose weight so we are going abroad to do it next year. I am currently working on weight loss so I have a BMI of around 35 for that. Nothing more we can do. I try not to think about it anymore because I’m just over it.
Thanks for the thoughts and congratulations on your wee boy. Hopefully you’re all doing well. ❤️

Wearenotyourkind · 26/11/2021 20:25

Hi @jx0x0 hie are you getting on?

I had a boy on 16/10 slightly earlier than expected as I needed to be induced due to concerns for his growth tailing off. He's 6 weeks now though and doing well.

Hope everyone else is okay?

@Positivity2019 I think about you often and really hope things work out for you.

jx0x0 · 25/11/2021 11:15

Just checking in to see how everyone is?

Any next steps for those who are ttc?

Love to all. X

Positivity2019 · 25/09/2021 19:04

@Wearenotyourkind I am well supported by my friends and my partner is great also. I have been thinking about counselling and may look into this. I have found a company that helps you connect with a fertility clinic abroad and I think they also offer counselling. So that could be a good start. Anyway, I’m super glad to hear how you are all getting on and even though it is hard and makes me a little sad I’m not joining you all yet, I am genuinely over the moon for you all. X

Wearenotyourkind · 25/09/2021 11:29

Thank you @Positivity2019. I'm mindful that it may be difficult to hear about our updates on this thread. If so, I'm sorry and wouldn't ever want to upset you as we all know how hard it can be. I think your plan sounds good and hopefully has given you new goals to aim for. I totally get the BMI thing. It feels like another stick to beat us with. I'm hoping your partner/family/friends are supporting you well. Are you also getting any mental health support? I found the counselling I had completely invaluable. I started it through work (6 funded sessions) and then continued paying privately. And for me, it was worth every penny. My GP was also great, but I have already been on antidepressants for a number of years. However you need it, I hope you are getting some support 💜

Positivity2019 · 25/09/2021 10:39

@jx0x0 congratulations on your little boy. I’m sorry to hear your pregnancy was an anxious time but he is here safe and sound and you can soak up every bit of him.

@Wearenotyourkind not long to go now, you must be super excited. Good luck with the big day/days when it arrives.

My partner and I have started researching having IVF abroad with a view to doing it May time next year. I am still committing to get my BMI down but I am out of patience with the NHS and their unrealistic BMI rules for IVF. My mental health is in ruins and I can’t keep waiting. So the preferred BMI for private is 35 which I find much more manageable so I am aiming for that. Fingers crossed something happens in the meantime but at this point I don’t hold out any hope. So yeah, just the same here. Thanks for the thoughts and the check in. ❤️

Wearenotyourkind · 24/09/2021 22:09

Congratulations @jx0x0 ! So happy for you!

I'm almost 36 weeks. One week left at work . Still feels surreal.

Congrats also @Missgoldilocks ! That's quite a weight. I bet he is one cute chunk.

Still think about you often @Positivity2019 and am sending love.

jx0x0 · 24/09/2021 21:54

Hey ladies,

Sorry been terrible on here. I had to take some time out from google / Mumsnet as I found pregnancy a very anxious time!

I had my little boy in July. All good so far. He's very sweet but struggling with the standard sleep deprivation and chaos.

So pleased to see such good news on the thread for many. @Missgoldilocks Congratulations! How you finding it?

Also v happy for @Wearenotyourkind How many weeks are you now?

@Positivity2019 Sorry you've been struggling. Have you got a referral for treatment yet? Big love to you.

@hwotsit How are you doing? I hope all is well with you. Would love to hear how you are.

Much love to all. X

Positivity2019 · 10/09/2021 21:36

@Positivity2019 virtual hug I know there are no words that I can say, and the only thing that can make it better is you becoming pregnant. I am so sorry you have to go through this 😔 I really pray it happens for you soon. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hey everyone. @Positivity2019 I completely get where you’re coming from, especially when it feels like everything is moving so slowly for you. You will get there - keep the faith and keep putting one foot in front of the other x

Wearenotyourkind · 16/07/2021 17:45

Ah darling @Positivity2019 it probably doesn't help now, but I honestly felt like that too. I thought it only happened for others and it was just never going to happen for us - with my fibroids, low progesterone and miscarriage. I appreciate you've been trying for longer than us now though. It's so hard not to lose hope - I really get that. I know I don't have any solutions- but don't want you to feel alone in how you feel.

You must be almost ready to pop @Missgoldilocks?!
