Is anyone TTC after Mirena Coil removal?

@AKC88 the best way to know is to log them on and app that reads them for you. But generally if the second line is darker than the control line then you should assume you will ovulate within 12-36 hours of it so get going!

Hey ladies, I have been getting positive OPK's the last 3 days. 1st day faint but visible, yesterday morning visible but still lighter than the test line and then last night and this morning dark. I used OPK's for my last pregnancy and did not realise the complexity of them I think ... i was lucky and got pregnant the first month that time.

does this mean i will ovulate today or once the test shows negative again?

i haven't actually had a period since having my coil removed (just a withdrawal bleed).

Ahh @sup99 that’s great! Yeah I track BBT too, the rise after the LH peak is pretty much the only way (without bloods) to confirm ov definitely happened. Tracking both has felt a little overwhelming/obsessive at times but I guess if you want it quickly, you need to know!
I use the Premom app and find it really easy and straightforward to read, I’ll attach my graph in case that’s any help. The orange is LH and blue is my temps, if your therm comes soon and you start tracking whilst in AF yours will be low then should rise after your spike x

@sup99 That’s ok! I’ve been reading up on all of it as I need a targeted approach as time is not in my side! I just ordered the Femometer bbt thermometer and it seems good

@sup99 I’ve been using femometer as I’ve got the opks and you take a pic on the app and it tells you whether it’s low/high/peak etc and you can put all your other info in there too like temps. But I know lots like fertility friend.
With your temp you have to get a bbt thermometer and you take your temp at the same time every morning before you move. No drinking, getting up to wee first of whatever. Then you log it on the app and basically after you ovulate you should get a shift of temp so they are higher consistently for at least 3 temps and that shows you ovulated. Then it usually stays up around that temp until AF comes. If it remains high when AF due or late it’s a good indicator you’re going to get a BFN.
Apparently it’s the best way to know you’ve ovulated because opks tell you your body is trying to not if you actually have!

@sup99 yes I did it all month until I got a peak test and I temped too. Got a peak opk on day 17 after having Mirena out but don’t think I did actually ovulate because my temp didn’t change enough and that’s the best indicator that it has happened. So hopefully this month I’ll get peak opks and a change in temps!

Hi @sup99 I’m the same. Just had my first bleed/AF a month after removal so this will be my first proper cycle. 🤞🏻
@EJay84 you should fine out over the next few days then! I’ve heard sore theorist is a good sign

I’ve heard frers are the best for early detection.

@EJay84 I’ll have a look in Tesco when I’m there later on and if not maybe take a trip to home bargains. I have no real idea of my length of cycle so I’ll need to go on DPO rather than days before AF due, because I don’t know when 6 days before is x

@EJay84 haha that made me laugh out loud! What tests are you using for early detection? I’m considering ordering the easy@home hcg strips.

Hey lovely ladies.. hope it's ok for me to join in here. Got my mirena out July 8, had bleed from next day for 4-5 days and haven't checked if i ovulated. Badly waiting for AF to arrive and go quickly so going to be our first official cycle TTC for baby#2!!

Hi @LaceyMermaid, ahh that’s great, one step closer! Yeah, only 3DPO here and finding it hard to distract myself from the wait. Although I’ll be tempted next wed/thurs I think I’ll try to hold off until next Friday to test, which would be 11DPO.. but we’ll see haha. Really hoping for some wee signs before then!
How are you doing @EJay84? Have you managed to hold out for your first test day tomorrow? And I meant to reply and say your T-shirt idea is super cute!

@EJay84 what are the T-shirts like? That’s so cute! If I’m lucky enough to get a BFP this month (trying not to get my hopes up) I would find out just before the wedding so my plan would be to keep it quiet and have a baby grow or something to give my OH during the couple photos when we’re off somewhere with just the photographer - so we had it on camera to keep! But you know... trying not to get ahead of myself... 😂 I’ve lost the plot 🙈
