Is anyone TTC after Mirena Coil removal?

Hello ladies, how are we all doing?
So as you know when I had coil removed on 24th Sept I had some bleeding that lasted around 4 days.
Been using ovulation tests and yesterday and today had positive fertile days. Has anyone conceived on their fertile days straight after coil removal, with out having a period??

I had nothing at all until a month later then had a very light 3 day period (mainly spotting). Same again next month. Third month now and I’ve got a more normal period. I’d had mirenas for ages though!

How long did you ladies bleed after coil removal, if at all? I am on day 3 of bleeding although today it is very light and just have very mild cramping at my lower back.

I’m having my Mirena removed on Monday morning. I‘ve had it in for coming up two years and had really light periods so not looking forward to normal flow periods again! Xx

Hi all! I’m onto cycle for now as AF arrived today. However I took soy isoflavones on cd3-7 this month and although I didn’t get my bfp, I ovulated 5 days earlier and I’ve got a proper full flow AF (last 2 AFs have been super light and short) for the first time since my coil was removed so hoping this is a good sign! Good luck everyone!

Yes planning ttc ASAP! I will be 35 this year and hubby 40 so keen to get going

Been waiting since December!!
I have two children age 12 and 9.
Only had coil removed yesterday with local anaesthetic and considerable blood loss but at least it is out

Yes @Amy259 I’ve taken soy isoflavones so we’ll see if they make my ovulation stronger!

@LaceyMermaid that’s so odd! Have you started the new supplements you were going to try? Fingers crossed they improve things for you!

I’m back to work now after summer hols so super busy. Weird period for me day 1 spotting day 2 light flow day 3 spotting days 4 nothing day 5 brown cm type spotting day 6 brown cm type spotting! 🤷🏼‍♀️ So odd

@sup99 yeah definitely, I’ve 100% seen it mentioned during my obsessive symptom spotting last month. I felt the exact same as you when I got my bfn on 11dpo, so down and low. My af arrived the evening of 12dpo so I’m going by that and not going to test this cycle if I can help it, the bfn feeling was so much worse than af arriving. I tried to reminded myself that even if you get it bang on you’ve only got about 25% chance of success per cycle, and this was cycle 1!! Try to give yourself a bit of slack - easier said than done, I know.

So I was really chilled about it this month because I’ve been so busy, pretty certain I ovulated yesterday though going by random LH testing (I got positive OPKs two days in a row which was weird, so I’m just guessing) and a temp spike today. We’ve been DTD lots over the last 8-9 days because of the wedding so I think that’s why I wasn’t too stressed - I didn’t have to make any effort to make sure we did it at the right time. Counting today as 1DPO.

@Amy259 is it? Never heard of it. Feeling super low after that bfn. Lost hopes as i was expecting atleast a vvfl on 12dpo. Will not test anymore until Monday/Tuesday if AF doesn't show.

And forgot to mention i woke up with a cold, really congested.Think i'm out this cycle.😖

@LaceyMermaid 12dpo today and tested for the first time this morning and a BFN 😕 Acc to Ovia app, my AF is due tomorrow, and flo app says it's Sunday. So not sure at all and no AF symptoms that i had last month. Having few cramps since 7-8 dpo that feel different to AF though🙄

@Amy259 wow that was good timing! Yes had spotting Sunday light flow Monday and spotting Tuesday. That’s it! Something is not right I think the Mirena is still affecting my cycles. So I’m taking soy isoflavones this cycle. Could be a huge mistake but I read a lot about them and they are supposed to give you stronger ovulation so we’ll see!

I decided to check my temp this morning to see if it was up so I would know if I ovulate (since I havent been testing lh over the wedding week) and it was low, so did an lh strip and it’s positive. So it seems I’m due to ovulate tomorrow!

Thank you @LaceyMermaid that’s good news. I am currently having very tender breast. So not sure if it pms or ovulation symptoms. Fingers crossed as we start trying

@Amy259i know it’s all such a risk but I think my cycle needs a push!

@LaceyMermaid I’ll probably still overthink it until my next period - but for now, I’m still in the wedding bubble haha. I did use preseed yesterday and will again if we dtd today or tomorrow - I’m on CD17 today and ov on CD19 last cycle so I’m guessing it’s around now.
I know what you mean, pretty much anything you can take to help also mentions possibly disrupting things. Even prenatals like pregnicare can change it apparently!

@Amy259 that’s lovely! I bet you’ll get your bfp this month because you’ve not worried about it! I think this probably is AF. But since my Mirena they’re just so light they’re barely there at all! I’m going to try soy isoflavones this month to try to kickstart my cycle properly - not sure if it’ll just mess it up more that’s always a risk when taking stuff!

Hi @LaceyMermaid, our wedding was absolutely wonderful, thank you! Just heading home from a lovely overnight stay and back to realty now. The last few days have been the best!

Sorry to hear you had some spotting, any sign of it getting heavier? Hopefully you get a full af this cycle and can get back on track. I’ve had a lovely break from poas, have no idea whether I’ve already ovulated or have still to do so - going with the flow this month but no doubt I’ll be neurotic again in no time 😂
