Hello!

I have been having cramps, nausea and fatigue for 3 days, feeling threatened by AF but having no blood or discharge and had a BFN this morning. DTD cycle day 8 and 26, no clue when ovulated.

My cycle can run between either 24 to 32 days. I am currently on day 28, so I am currently in limbo thinking either I am or I ain’t and I’m making myself stressed because I just want to know 😂 happy either way just want some clarity.

Anyone else in limbo or have any advice ?

@Elieza - Cheers, I will consider that :)

Try acupuncture to get your body in the best condition to conceive. It’s got a good track record where I am in Scotland as the acupuncturist is very good and specialises in gyno stuff and women’s hormones. She can regulate periods, lighten them and help you plan fertile times once your hormones are balanced.

Periods should be comfortable and regular. We should not feel unwell on them. If we do it’s because our hormones are a little out of synch. Acupuncture can help this, along with many weird things which my GP can’t fix! Also good as I don’t like taking medicines or artificial hormones etc.

£50 a session where I am. Totally worth it. And regular sessions can keep women with a history of mc’s pregnancies going strong.

They have a single professional body, google as the website lists the ones near you. They are about to start up again I believe.

Good luck to all of you ttc Grin

@Gingerandjasmine - I have now joined you! AF has started to arrive, so it appears I ovulated later in the month than usual (I've discovered it's possible to have more than one LH surge - I had no idea before). I think stress delayed my ovulation. But at least it's an end to the uncertainty.

CC81 · 12/07/2020 10:08

@Gingerandjasmine - Sorry to hear this cycle isn't the one, but I guess now you know where you're up to and can await the next one. Fingers crossed!

Nothing for me yet - day 34. This has never happened to me before, except in the months after stopping breastfeeding last time (it took a while for my body to adjust).

Still getting negatives on the cheap test strips. Waiting for day 35 to do the more expensive test stick! Although convinced it'll be negative too.

Gingerandjasmine · 11/07/2020 14:49

@EasterBunny7
I know I’ve been thinking on and off if it was IB, I have cramps and I’ve just been wiping brown even with some near black (sorry tmi but we are all human 😂) just some red but mostly brown, not enough for a tampon yet ! But I’m on day 32 of my my cycle so I can’t imagine anything but AF... if I wasn’t continuing to have my cramps I think I would suspect but could be wrong !

Sorry to hear about you af arrival, next time !

@Gingerandjasmine

Oh no, sorry to hear! If it's any commiseration, I took a clearblue test this morning and it's a negative. So, I've just had what was my period too. I was convinced that it was IB. How we lie to ourselves Blush

Gingerandjasmine · 10/07/2020 18:13

@EasterBunny7
Aw thanks, unfortunately AF slammed open the door today, pretty rude if you ask me!
Going to through myself a pity party with watching a film and eating chocolate Grin

Fingers crossed for you please keep me updated!

@Gingerandjasmine

fingers crossed for your test today Star

I tried out the calculators you mentioned - thanks! Not all of them work unfortunately, as they only go up to say 40 days Grin but it gave me a ballpark idea.

Gingerandjasmine · 10/07/2020 08:21

Got some brown spotting last night and this morning. Very watery looking and it’s brown with a hint of red. I think it’s AF making her appearance but will still do a test later today just in case

@EasterBunny7
Any time! :)

Wow that is a long gap in between, do you know when you may of ovulated? Ive been putting in all the cycle lengths i get into the calculators online for when you should take a pregnancy test which is based on the date of your last period and cycle length (like the Clearblue site)
maybe that can help you figure out when are good times to test? :)

Can you call your GP and ask about taking your medication whilst you have the possibility of being pregnant?

EasterBunny7 · 09/07/2020 21:49

I can feel your support already, thank you Smile.

It can be anywhere from 28 days to 41 days. I even had an odd one of 62 days Sad.

The cycle gone was 'supposedly' 35 days. I say supposedly because of the weird, low flow period I'm having...

Gingerandjasmine · 09/07/2020 21:34

@EasterBunny7
Dont be sorry its what we are all here for! :)

How long is your usual cycle?

EasterBunny7 · 09/07/2020 21:26

Sorry to jump in. I could really do with some advice. I have pcos. Ttc 20 months. On day 3 of what I thought is my period but it's completely different to anything I've experienced! Hardly any blood, dark brown in colour. I've tested negative but could that be because hcg levels aren't high enough on day 3? I'm concerned because I was supposed to take my clomid tablet yesterday but don't want to risk it if this is a pregnancy. What do you think? Am I imagining things?

Gingerandjasmine · 09/07/2020 21:19

@CC81

Still got these tugging cramps, been like 4/5 days of it... getting concerned if this is normal

OP posts:
Gingerandjasmine · 09/07/2020 15:38

@CC81

Yes me too! Just want to know haha
I have been reading too much online and it is making me more curious and confused. Seems like every site has their own idea of what women should feel and when to test, but there is no straight answer. Wish there was better signs of pregnancy that isnt exactly that same as PMS Grin

OP posts:
CC81 · 09/07/2020 15:02

@Gingerandjasmine - Haha, curiosity got the better of me! Used another cheap strip test this morning - still negative.

No sign of AF, except feeling a bit generally crappy. Wish my body would make its bloody mind up and stop messing me about!

Gingerandjasmine · 09/07/2020 14:59

@CC81

Still no sign of AF, still got bad cramping Hmm

How are you doing?

Im resisting the urge to test!

OP posts:
Gingerandjasmine · 08/07/2020 14:08

@CC81

Exactly! Feels like i am not going insane haha

Uncertainty is never easy, hopefully time will give us it back!

-Still no AF

OP posts:
CC81 · 08/07/2020 12:38

@Gingerandjasmine - Yes, I'm thinking exactly the same :) It really helps to talk with someone having a similar experience.

I find the uncertainty very difficult, in all respects - especially wondering if my body is working the way it's supposed to (or not).

Gingerandjasmine · 08/07/2020 12:35

@CC81

Oh literally the same then! Tested today at cycle 29. I have also felt very stressed and I am on a diet so i have lost weight.. but in the last few months, I haven't felt this sick and crampy! I'm in a strange in-between of wanting to eat everything and nothing at the same time haha
Same for me with little CM

Hopefully, we can keep each other company until we know either way for certain, might do a Saturday morning test if no AF till then!

OP posts:
CC81 · 08/07/2020 12:33

@Gingerandjasmine - PS - I know what you mean about that feeling of a period being about to start. It's so annoying!

I had it the last two months, but early, followed by spotting before my period actually started. So it was really confusing. This month is therefore different... but no less confusing!

CC81 · 08/07/2020 12:28

@Gingerandjasmine - Thank you. I last tested on Monday (day 28), with a cheap strip test... but as there was no sign of a second line, even faint, I have assumed it's just a late period.

I'm kind-of scared to test again as I don't want the disappointment confirmed! Think I'll wait a few more days and then try again.

Maybe I'm too quick to assume! But my gut feeling is that this month wasn't quite right... I had barely any fertile CM and I've been really stressed for other reasons.

Gingerandjasmine · 08/07/2020 12:13

@CC81

Dont worry im with you! I think periods are considered late after 30 days so maybe test in three days time? Just basing it on what clearblue website says. When did you last test?
I think im going to wait for AF but if no show on Cycle day 33 i will test again.

I have also seen online that some women say they test negative for weeks after period due! How annoying!

OP posts:
CC81 · 08/07/2020 11:56

@Gingerandjasmine - Thank you - no one has responded yet, so I'm feeling a little stranded :(

I'm worried that my period is late for health reasons, which is a concern because I'm 38 and my fertility probably isn't the best. I have one child already (conceived age 35, first time we tried!).

But we have been TTC and I got a positive OPK this month, which means it's possible to be pregnant. But the test said no!

Could it simply be too early for a positive test? I'm on day 30.

Gingerandjasmine · 08/07/2020 11:52

@CC81 will follow your thread!

@PlanBea Thats a good idea, I will defo do this in the future! I think i will get some internet cheapies and a FRER just to make sure :)
As for white underwear, great shout! Grin

What i have read online is that the cramping is periodic, mine has been continual for three days straight....
