@MichT4 ahh I'm so happy that you are feeling calmer and they'll confirm everything is good come Monday ☺️ time to relax and enjoy your weekend x

@VP91x watch Petes Dragon 🐉 that was a tear jerker for me...

@DBTJ wait did you say you got a positive? With a FRER? Tentative congrats if it's still too early for you to get excited x

@Mommybear05 strangely after this month OH was like do you reckon you conceived on the run from CD11-14 or CD18 one when you got your 2nd surge, obviously paying more attention after I stopped talking about it as much 😂 I did like the CB tests, I had the 2 hormone one and 1 box lasted me 4 months so not too bad x

@Jazper what was the difference in your LP? I think everyone has covered the things of why it may have changed, but just wanted to send you a big hug. It's shit after a MC when things don't feel normal but personally I would say that the pill could take you back further, but I'm obvs not a Dr that's just what I'd think xx

HopeForRainbowbaby · 10/07/2020 11:18

@Jazper hi, my cycles are over the place after miscarriages. I even had 20 day cycle. Midwife told me that they might come back, likely within 6 months or they will never come back to pre Mc cycle. Hope that helps you! your body is just still processing what new normal is😘

Hayleylou89 · 10/07/2020 11:15

The choice* not higg 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Hayleylou89 · 10/07/2020 11:15

Thank u, you lovely bunch of ppl :) it was such a nice suprise especially before i go to spain sunday. Baba458 @Cels22 @Mich2020 @Northernsoul90.

@Lollol86 Im from liverpool and the womens hospital here run the clinic, Its such a lovely idea, i wont see them again until im discharged from preterm labour clinic and then they discuss the birth with u then but i pretty much have a higg choice of being induced, c section or whatever i want really as long as it obv safe for both of us.
Xx i obv want to keep him in there as long as possible with going into preterm labour last time so being induced early isnt something im thinking of right now, but might change my mind closer to time x

Iv got my 12 week scan a week on monday and see the preterm labour clinic 2day later for the first check of my cervix to make sure its strong enough 🤞🏻🤞🏻 if its looking short they will give me a pessarie and poss a stitch too x x

MichT4 · 10/07/2020 11:14

@MrsK21 I love 90 day fiance. It does make you feel like you've got everything together. Who is in the series you are watching?

God the doc I spoke to on the phone during my first MC was so unsympathetic. OH was furious! It's crazy how cold they can be.

Fingers crossed to a big rise. I feel better not thinking about testing again and stuff, all adds to the worry xx

MrsK21 · 10/07/2020 11:11

@MichT4 I'm glad they seem to be doing all the right things. Like you, my GP is terrible so I have a hard time having faith sometimes in the doctors as I was brushed off as being "panicky" last time.
I really hope your bloods on Sunday show a nice big rise! Some good trashy TV over the weekend will help it go quicker. I've recently started watching 90 day fiance, it makes me feel better about my life lol

I've had some sore boobs, a few weird cramps last night and my CM has changed to textbook pre AF consistency, I'm cautiously optimistic I will get AF in the next week or so (never thought I'd be optimistic about getting AF but the strange times we find ourselves in eh!?). I'm trying to be patient with it all and keep myself distracted over the weekend.

@Baba458 I keep telling myself I need to book a holiday somewhere as incentive to lose the weight! Do you have any nice plans for the wekeend? x

Baba458 · 10/07/2020 11:06

@MichT4 I know it’s hard but try to think positive xx
The cake was lush .... and I thought the same thing about the green tea 😉 xx

HE88 · 10/07/2020 10:40

@MichT4 ah I see well I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Xx

MichT4 · 10/07/2020 10:37

@HE88 I'll get them Sunday. I asked if there was any value in knowing what today's were and she said no - she said there's no expectations as to how much they are at a certain time, but more about how they differ over 48 hours.

@Baba458 thank you - just hope there's good news after my blood tests Sunday. Then I can really relax!

How was the cake? I think green tea eliminates any calories.

MichT4 · 10/07/2020 10:34

@MrsK21 @Jazper thank you both. @MrsK21 I just thought they would make me wait, I think it's great they are doing it Sunday, I'll get the results later that day too so it's just nice to know I'll have some answers. I feel better for going, so now as you say its rest and positivity on the cards for me.

How are you feeling today, any AF signs?

@Jazper I would have pushed for the full hormone blood tests, so I think they do one early in your cycle, and one after your expected ovulation date, so they can measure the levels at the various stages. It's such a faff and I never understand the resistance to check everything. All they have to do is mark all the boxes and maybe take a couple of tubes, but they try and do as little as possible! Drives me nuts.

Baba458 · 10/07/2020 10:33

@MrsK21 haha I love the half dressed up half dressed down look I do that often. I had a call to listen in on this morning, I’m sure they could probably hear me munching in the background 🤣😋. I spent lockdown trying to focus on my diet so I cut out wheat, sugar, dairy and Yeast ..... it was so hard but I lost a ton of weight but I’m back on wheat and sugar as you can now tell 🤦🏼‍♀️ Which I totally blame on the fact lockdown has now eased.

@Jazper sorry your having a tough day. Sending lots of hugs to you xx

@DBTJ my fingers and toes are crossed for you 🤞🦶 xx

@MichT4 that all sounds great news. Hopefully everything will be okay now moving forward xx

HE88 · 10/07/2020 10:32

@MichT4 will you get your blood results today or do you need to wait until Sunday? Definitely try to relax over the next couple of days and fingers crossed the spotting doesn't come back. Xx

@VP91x sending you lots of hugs and love today, you let those tears out and a day of watching rubbish TV sounds like a great idea. Xx

Jazper · 10/07/2020 10:27

Glad you got a scan @MichT4 , even if they couldn't see much. At least your have a follow up blood test while will (fingers crossed) serve to really put your mind at rest.
Thank you for sharing what the doctor told you. It's frustrating but reassuring. Can I ask, if they got to 6 months and did bloods, is it progesterone they are looking for to see if I'm ovulating?

Thank you @MrsK21 , I know the stressing isn't helping. I wish I could just switch off 😞 I really hope you see af soon, or get your doctor to listen if it doesn't. You're right though, our bodies have been through trauma. I really need to be patient with it xx

Thank you @Lollol86 , that's reassuring to know. Hopefully I am actually ovulating even with this irregularity in my cycles ❤️

MrsK21 · 10/07/2020 10:23

@MichT4 I'm glad they were kind and did what they needed to. They need to take bloods within 48 hours so repeating on Sunday. It's to check that your HCG is doubling every 48 hours and it's the only way to confirm the pregnancy is progressing as expected rather than lines on a test. Make sure you get lots of rest between now and then and try not to worry yourself, you are in good hands xxx

Lollol86 · 10/07/2020 10:03

@MichT4 wishing you the best of luck for today ❤️

@VP91x I’m not sure what’s up but whatever it is we are all here for you. Have a good cry, watch crap tv and eat chocolate ❤️

@Jazper I can’t help with when you periods will become regular but I just wanted to give you some reassure. My periods use to be regular but became irregular 2 years ago and I have still managed to conceive, everything crossed for you that they go back to normal soon ❤️

I’ve woke up feeling really rubbish today, absolutely shattered, have a headache and just feel generally yucky like hungover.
We are off to the beach, hopefully the fresh sea air will make me feel better.

MichT4 · 10/07/2020 09:58

@VP91x how are you doing? xx

MichT4 · 10/07/2020 09:57

@DBTJ ooh that sounds promising. Have you got a photo?

@Jazper sorry you are feeling down. When I called my doctor to ask about blood tests, she said they wouldn’t do them for at least 6 months after a MC as the hormones can take a long while to settle. Seems so unfair but it could just need a bit more time. I hope it sorts itself for you soon

Update from me after my appointment. They were so lovely. No test but they scanned and took blood. Nothing conclusive on the ultrasound, she took measurements etc but said i might only be 5 weeks (I am today or tomorrow but I let on I wasn’t sure so she would scan me) and she said if I was 5 weeks then she’d be surprised to see any more than she did. So as expected, no answers from that. She took my blood and surprisingly they will take it again on Sunday - thought I’d have to wait until Monday.
I asked her if I should take more tests and she sternly said no, said I’d drive myself mad.
So for me it’s time to try and relax a bit, and it’s nice to know i should have an answer either way on Sunday.
Annoyingly, the spotting had stopped, but of course now she’s shoved that thing up there, I’m expecting a return xx

MrsK21 · 10/07/2020 09:55

Hi @Jazper sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with your cycles. It is frustrating as well when the internet information makes you feel like an outlier. I'm currently still waiting for my AF post MC at the end of May. It's been 6 weeks but I need to wait another couple of weeks till my GP takes it seriously. I keep telling myself my body has had a traumatic time and it will eventually settle down. I hope you feel better and please try and give yourself time, the stressing about it also can make things worse.

@MichT4 best of luck for your appt today. I really pray it's all good news and you can put your mind to rest

@VP91x sometimes the pit of sadness is needed but I hope you feel better soon. Do you have anything nice planned for over the weekend? Thinking of you x

@Baba458 welcome to the group and sorry you think AF might be coming. I am so jealous of your breakfast, that looks fab! I'm trying to lose some of my lockdown weight gain in preparation for my BFP when it comes.
I'm also working from home, just did a team call with normal clothes on top half and pyjama bottoms underneath!! lol

DBTJ · 10/07/2020 09:50

Sorry guys I cheated and tested early

So last week whilst in deep sleep I jumped up and had to rush and grab a biscuit as I was going to throw up. I did a test and not surprised it was Bfn.
Around 4am I went toilet and checked my cervix and saw blood however period not due for well over a week so did a test. I saw a faint line i have just done another and can see another faint line.
I was meant to test on 11th however I will wait till Sunday to re test.

Jazper · 10/07/2020 09:35

Thank you so much for your reply @Mommybear05 . All I can find on the internet is 'if you had regular cycles before your mc, they will be regular after' and it's making me feel like something is wrong with me that they haven't returned... I will look in to what herbal remedies might help although I get what you mean about it being experimental. I know it seems backward, as I want to conceive, but I'm wondering if going on the pill (short term) will help me regulate 🧐 But than I think, if I just give it a few more months it may regulate naturally anyway. Argh 🤯 my head's going mad. Sorry to ramble. I'm so sad today.
I didn't track my first cycle. My second cycle I didn't get a peak and ran out of sticks. And I religiously tracked my third and fourth and got a static smily on cd17 both times. Xx

Mommybear05 · 10/07/2020 09:22

@Jazper sorry to hear you are feeling so low! Reg cycles I know it’s annoying to hear but I think everyone is different and responds differently. I’ve no idea about my normal cycle because was on pill so long but now I’ve the opposite problem as mine are sometimes on the shorter side! I’ve started taking a vitamin blend called female formula from Holland and Barrett and that’s supposed to help get you regular. But it’s just experimenting I feel. The good news is you have your cycles so have a chance. It only takes that one egg! Are you doing any tracking? X

Mommybear05 · 10/07/2020 09:18

@VP91x thinking of you and agree with what others have said- have a good cry if you need to!

@Hayleylou89 what a lovely scan picture of your little boy! I’m so pleased for you. Excellent news about the clinic.

@SmileyT aw thanks. Even hubby is getting a bit more into it now. Yesterday he was like ‘you’re on cd4 today aren’t you??’ And I was like let me check my app 🤣🤣 I’ve invested in some of those clear blue digital ovulation. I didn’t realise there are different types. I go the ones that only detect the one hormone the Lh surge and give two days fertility. Box says to test on cd10 until I see peak so fingers crossed! Hubby has two weeks off work starting just when fertile window begins so we will be busy! Haha.

Can I just say thanks to the girls on this thread- really helping me when I’m down. I was quite worried about spotting before af each month and felt like I didn’t have a shot but it’s great to hear your experiences. I feel I would rather listen to real peoples experience to understand if things are ok! And seeing the bfps is really making me believe I can do this! So thank you xx 😘

Jazper · 10/07/2020 09:06

Ladies, please can someone tell me why my lp has changed from last month? And when the bloody hell my cycles are going to go back to pre mc length? I can't stop crying. Every time it's a reminder of what's happened and what it's done to my body.
For background - my first two cycles post mc were approx 39 days, my third one was 31 days and I'm now on cd 33 waiting for af. Pre mc I was regular 28/29 days.
I just want things to go back to normal. Should they have done by now - 4 cycle in?
I just feel I'm never going to be able to conceive again while they are so irregular.
I'm grieving so bad xx

Baba458 · 10/07/2020 09:01

@MichT4 @fafi this is how I will be spending my morning. I work from home atm so I’m sat in my loungewear devouring this, obv I counteracted it with a green tea #balance
