@MichT4 you could be bleeding from your actual cervix just due to hormonal changes so you might not actually be bleeding from inside your uterus 🤞🤞

Nellle · 07/07/2020 12:36

Thanks @fafi Flowers

fafi · 07/07/2020 12:16

@Nellle I totally understand, if I was in your position I would definitely be at least raising it with my GP - I don't have any knowledge about fertility and stuff but it might help you feel more supported through your journey! xx

Nellle · 07/07/2020 12:06

@fafi

No not yet. I'm wondering if I should go now. I'm a bit scared because it makes the struggle real. I don't think my husband feels the same urgency as me - he is a few years younger.

xx

fafi · 07/07/2020 12:01

@Nellle So sorry to hear about your journey, have you had any fertility tests or anything?

fafi · 07/07/2020 11:57

@mrsssk that sounds super hard, I'm lucky things happened quickly, I think it's the unknown that's the worst thing for anxiety and feeling like you're in limbo!

Nellle · 07/07/2020 11:55

Hi all,

My posting is very inconsistent! Last month I was OBSESSED. Ovulation sticks several times a day, temping everyday, all the supplements, did about 20 pregnancy tests. So, naturally I was gutted when my period came.

I have given myself a 'month off' - still doing the thing of course, but NO conception stuff. NOTHING at all. Didn't even look at what cycle day I was on.

Now I'm deep into my 2WW (CD24) and that painful hope is creeping in again. Did a FR test yesterday, obvs negative. Don't feel like this month is the one.

Is anyone else reaching the 'it's never going to happen' phase? Anyone got any happy stories? Did anyone on this thread get their BFP in the last month?

It feels so unfair after a miscarriage (mine was Sept 2018). You feel like if you've had a pregnancy, you must be fertile at least. That was my only comfort after my loss.

Nearing a bad place. I'm 34 and every single person I know seems to be enjoying their babies. Social media is so painful.

Sorry for the super sad post.

HopeForRainbowbaby · 07/07/2020 11:52

@fafi 17th would be 11 dpo, perhaps then I will test first time. My goal is to test on 20th but who knows how I feel in a week time ;) this is my second cycle following second Mc and 4th or 5th following first MC so who knows what happens but at I was able to pinpoint my OV and you did too👍 I have got positive at 9 dpo ( but tested as of 7 dpo) and at 11 dpo( slightest line). And I have been ttc once bleeding stops both times.

@Lollol86 I do both cheapies and CB as ovulation tests.
@vp91x @mrsssk @SmileyT thank you😘

@mrsssk hmm you are already quite late in your tww. I would probably wait till 13 dpo, earliest 11 dpo ( at least I would be aiming at that day ) to be sure.

@CasperFlamingo welcome to the group. I'm story about your loss. It took me with 9 weeks pregnancy around 3.5 to 4 weeks to get negative pregnancy test, few days before period. With second MC it was within few days as I was much earlier too( 5 weeks pregnancy). Both miscarriage were natural.

Jazper · 07/07/2020 11:46

Thank you @Northernsoul90 , that was a really thoughtful response and it's always comforting to know that others are having similar feelings as myself. I will test again if af is late but not before. I know with some people testing early is better for them as it just cements the negative result and allows them to wait for af, but I am like you, my anxiety goes through the roof.
Are you going for bloods tomorrow? Is that what your app. is for?

HopeForRainbowbaby · 07/07/2020 11:36

@MichT4 I'm hoping for the best 😘 The bleeding is actually more common in pregnancy than we think. There is nothing else you can do but continue with your positive outlook on this, dear 😘 and hopefully bleeding will just go away ❤️

Northernsoul90 · 07/07/2020 11:34

@CasperFlamingo hello, I had an mva procedure on the 8th June so 4 weeks yesterday and am still getting faint positive tests at the minute which I’m finding really frustrating. I think everyone is different and it depends how far along you were and how your body reacts as to how long it takes for the hormones to go down. There’s no harm in testing I don’t suppose? I bought a load of one step cheap ones off of amazon as I knew I would be testing quite a lot and didn’t want to spend a fortune.

Northernsoul90 · 07/07/2020 11:30

Thanks ladies @MichT4 @mrsssk I will do that, it’s hard to take things in at the appointments as you say so having a list is a good idea.

I was between 8 and 9 weeks when I had the mc, I was told last week that the sac was quite large so hormones could be taking longer to go down because of that. I’ve been using the sensitive one step ones they are 10miu/mg and are showing up faint positives at the minute. I will do another in the morning before I go in for my blood test. Last week I went for bloods and then they did an internal scan and couldn't see any retained tissue, she also told me she could see follicles and it looked like I would ovulate within a week but I’m not sure if I have as the pregnancy tests are still positive. Trying to do opks has been confusing as I’m not sure which hormone they are picking up so I’ve given up on them for now.

CasperFlamingo · 07/07/2020 11:25

I just wanted to pop back and say thank you to everyone who welcomed me and their kind words. It means a lot!

I can't believe how much the thread moves on - it's so fast! So sorry if I'm not always keeping up.

I just wanted to ask, how long did it take to get a BFN after MC? I've stopped bleeding, and nurse said to wait two weeks before testing to see if BFN, but I'm itching to test now. I know it's probably a fool's errand though.

mrsssk · 07/07/2020 11:24

@Northernsoul90 I would agree with @MichT4 and write a list. When I was going through the MC and every 48 hrs had to go to EPU for bloods, I just wrote it all down in my notes app on my phone as I didn't really process anything that was said, nor would've been able to remember what I was going through. Looking back, I'm glad I did because I've got a record that I can share with my GP when I eventually go along with my list of questions.

I got a negative on a FRER exactly 4 weeks later, I had weak positives before that on cheapies. How far along were you? Sorry if you've already mentioned, it's hard to keep track of everyone's position sometimes! Have you been testing with a sensitive test?

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 11:08

@Northernsoul90 maybe you should write a list. I always end up bamboozled when I go to any appointment, and come away thinking why I didn't ask more xx

Northernsoul90 · 07/07/2020 11:01

@MichT4 yes I might just ask when I go, I need to ask a few things actually they didn’t tell me what my level was last week so I want to know that as well x

@mrsssk I’m with you on that one I just want my body to go back to normal, I feel like I don’t have a clue where I am with it. When did you get a negative test after your mc? I’m still getting positives almost 4.5 weeks later 😣

@Jazper 11dpo is still early but do what is right for you, I always used to wait until at least the first day of expected af I just found that early testing increased my anxiety. The process feels so long sometimes, I hope you are okay 💖 you are allowed to have down days sometimes. Fingers crossed this is still your month 🤞🏼

mrsssk · 07/07/2020 10:59

@fafi I was almost 8 weeks when the bleeding started so relatively early still. I honestly wouldn't mind either a BFP or a visit from AF now!

I was in and out of EPU for about 1.5 weeks because of slow rising HCG and a suspected ectopic pregnancy but it ended up miscarrying naturally and the whole time was just the most stressful thing I've gone through which I suspect is still causing an issue now

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 10:51

@SmileyT are you tempted to have a coffee to see if it happens again? Haha - you can tell what this journey has done to me 😂😂

I am hopeful for you tomorrow, I have everything crossed for you 🤞🤞

Yeah I will test on Friday, although wondering if the HCG would have dropped enough, but let's see 🤞

Jazper · 07/07/2020 10:51

Bloody hell @MichT4 , your reply made me cry 😂 what an emotional wreck. Thank you for your understanding ❤️
Femometer app has me due for the 10th and I'm not really sure why as that gives me a 14 day lp where last cycle it was 13 days. Ovia app seems more accurate and puts me at 9th for af (if my lp does not change at all). I had a 31 day cycle last month and that would put me at the 9th too.

Thank you @SmileyT , look forward to seeing results of your test tomorrow ☺️

SmileyT · 07/07/2020 10:48

@chloedancer897 oh that would be fabulous if I was fingers crossed, only one more sleep until I find out 😬

@MichT4 yeah this is true seen loads of charts where they have fluctuations, we'll see tomorrow if I've got lucky 🤞 sorry the spotting is back but it's good that it hasn't gone into a full flow, I'd definitely test on Friday to put your mind at rest ❤️ no coffee this morning and no vomming so back to zero symptoms x

@VP91x yeah strangely before I found out I was pregnant I had massive cravings for red meat which I barely eat but OH loves it. Well I'm going to stay firmly hopeful until I test ☺️and if it's negative tomorrow I'll deal with that then x

@HopeForRainbowbaby @fafi good luck in your TWWs Xx

@Renna I'd maybe keep up with the cheapies until my AF arrived but also if it's going to stress you out just stop them and have sex when you want then maybe test in a couple weeks x

@Jazper sorry that it's been a bit of a crappy time, definitely do what's best for your mental health and don't test again if it's going to make you feel bad. Still hoping there is hope this month for you x

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 10:43

@SmileyT how are you feeling today? Have you tried coffee? Any vom trips?

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 10:42

@Jazper thank you lovely.

And I'm sorry to hear you got another BFN. 11DPO could still be early, but like you say, best to just wait and see now as it won't be long until you hopefully know either way. When is AF due?
4 months isn't long at all, even if they were all viable months, so don't panic. I'm sure it won't be far off and you'll be getting your BFP. It always feels longer than it is.
I totally understand you still feeling teary, but let them out and we are always here. Sending hugs xx

Lollol86 · 07/07/2020 10:38

@VP91x what time of day would you do the cheapies?

MichT4 · 07/07/2020 10:38

@mrsssk yep! I'm retiring my google fingers for now. It's not helping me, won't change anything, and isn't helping me get work done.

Good idea to give it a bit more time. Could be a positive reason it hasn't arrived!
Don't worry about other bodies, I had a bleed 4 weeks after MC but I think that in no way reflected being back to normal. My GP told me she would run blood tests 6 months after the MC otherwise they might be skewed, so I think it annoyingly just can take a little longer.
I hope this isn't the case for you, and you have caught again xx

fafi · 07/07/2020 10:37

@mrsssk oh wow! Sorry to hear that, sounds like a good plan. How far along were you when you MC?
