TTC after MC - July 2020 (Part 5)

@SmileyT I know! They've made me think too 🤣. And you are probably right about not waiting, they were fairly useless the entire time so maybe I should do it earlier.
I think if I get to scan point, I will just base it on my anxiety levels. If I can relax a bit then I'll hold off as long as I can (maybe). Wish I knew a sonographer! xx

They have just rang from EPU my level was 102 last week and it’s come down to 34 now so at least it’s decreased quite a bit I was hoping for it to be even less than that though. She said I must have had very high levels of hormones so it’s taking longer to reach 0. I’m thinking that this means I haven’t yet ovulated, I asked on the phone and she said my cycle won’t come back properly until I get a negative. Presumably the opks I’ve done were detecting the hcg - I’m feeling a bit upset if I’m honest because she then said I probably wouldn’t get a period now for 4-5 weeks so I just feel like it’s dragging on forever. I’m going to keep doing pregnancy tests and then when that reaches a negative start doing opks I think is that what others would do? Or any other suggestions? Otherwise I’ll be doing opks for weeks 🥴

Sorry I was confusing I always thought when you get your peak it means you ovulate that day and that dtd after is usually to late. Will try over next few days just to be sure.

Yes hopefully it is implantation bleeding yes and that your bean is as snugh as can be. Good luck for friday x

Ooh let us know what they do at the rainbow clinic not heard of that before... and the hol sounds lush, just what you need 😎 I wasn't going to book a scan until after 8weeks but you and @Tink20058 have made me think 🤔

@MichT4 I probably wouldn't wait until after your 8week scan only because they might have a wait on midwife appts, do you self-refer to your hospital, mine we do so I didn't even tell my GP as they are bloody useless anyway. Last time I had an early scan at 6 and 7 weeks and saw the HB both times, not much on the pics but still good to see the flicker. Unfortunately MC at 7w4 so will definitely have one at 8w if I get that far x

@Tink20058 awww lovely pictures! Did your GP refer you for your EPU early scan?
I just find the whole thing a bit terrifying. It's like you want to know what's happening but the fear of finding out something you don't want to puts you off! 🤣 Just need to man up and take the test. I'll probably take about 4 on Friday xx

@MichT4 I had 2 at 6 weeks one private and one with internal at epu they told me to keep both appointments and saw the heartbeat on both then had one last Friday and was 12 weeks as soon as I had first bleeding I took clear blue weeks and got 1-2 then waited until the following week and was 2-3 then took a few more 🤣🤣 I love peeing on a stick I will attach pictures xxx

Thank you @Emsnewmum. The reality is, there is nothing I can do about it (sadly), so I am trying to keep positive though it is hard at times. As was discussed earlier, I think it's just knowing isn't it - then we can deal with the situation. Hence my nerves for Friday's test.
I'm hopeful it is OK, and the ladies' suggestion that it could be IB making it's way out while the little bean snuggles in more is keeping me strong.

Do you mean you are already in your TWW? As if that is your peak OPK then you possibly haven't ovulated yet and you should keep DTD? Sorry if I have misunderstood your first comment.

@Rb486 yeah it's costing a fortune. I have the tests already though so it's money spent that I might as well use 🤣 xx

@michT4 I'm doing ok just started the ttw even though a few days ago I wasn't planning too but I just can't help it.

Oh totally I'd be exactly the same, strangely for me I remember both times worrying about why I never have implantation bleeding and always wanting that but after these last few months I don't want to see any for a long time.

@MichT4 yeah just test then. This whole process costs such a lot of money. Like add up all the money we’ve ever spent on opks and pregnancy tests and early scans. Lol! But yeah I’d like to get an early scan next time... I did last time but went exactly at 7 weeks and they could just see the sac and yolk sac abdominally. Didn’t do transvaginal. I was booked to go back at 9 weeks then coronavirus hit. So had my 12 week scan at 12+4 with the nhs and mmc. Has anyone thought of buying or have got a Doppler? Xx

@Emsnewmum I would say that is your peak for sure, so if you can get another couple of nights DTD then go for it! Good luck! x

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I had alot of ewcm over the last few days (very rare for me think the only time I've had it is in the two cycles I concieved) so I took a ov stick with first urine and got the fainter line. Then I took the stronger one with my second urine but checked it after ten mins do you think it's still accurate? I did take a pic of them both long after ten mins and there Is such a difference.

Just want to know if it's def my peak I could resist and we dtd last night bit trying not to get my hopes up too much x

Thank you @Emsnewmum. I remember being worried first time, but once you've been there before, you can't help think the worst. I'm hoping that will be the last of it, and that I'll get some reassurance soon.

I am fine thank you. I am waiting to test again to make sure it's all still OK so am nervous about that. I'm torn about it all, but think it'll drive me mad if I don't test again.
Excited for your scan next week. I'm sure it'll all be perfect xx

@MichT4 I have had 3 early ones so far and the one on Tuesday is my nhs one, so hopefully will all be well, how are you feeling? Xxx

So sorry to hear about your bleeding I have read a lot of peoples stories on bleeding and some people have bled alot and still had a healthy pregnancy fingers crossed for you wishing you all the best for your scan

@MichT4 sorry to hear about your bleeding it's just impossible not to worry at the sight of blood but always important to have hope as it is possible to have bleeding and still be ok. Wishing you all the best x

@Rb486 that’s sort of what I’m thinking. If we do an earlier scan and it’s all fine, I’ll call the doctor then. Last time I called straight away and they didn’t phone back until after the MC and it crushed me.
I wouldn’t test again (she says) if I hadn’t had that spotting. But I think I need to now for the reassurance xx

@MichT4 maybe just do it then. The weeks one, we know what it’s like we say we won’t test and then we do. When you get that urge it’s to hard to resist! Lol! In a way it would be nice if tests didn’t pick it up so early so we didn’t have this terrible long wait. I don’t think I’m going to refer myself to the midwife next time until I’m like 9 weeks then I won’t feel like I’m waiting for them to call or waiting for a scan date and it should all happen pretty quickly then. I’ll just keep it to myself for a bit. Dunno if that would help or not but just an idea. Lol! Xxx

@Hayleylou89 I could do that, just a little worried they don’t see the heartbeat at the 6 week mark, which I know they sometimes don’t. And that’ll panic me! Did you see yours? Did you get photos?

I had scans at 6wks and 9weeks and then my 12 week one is on 20th July, it went so slow at first but now it does seem to be going a little bit quicker...im 10 + 2 now x

Why dnt u change and do 6 and 9 private scan the its every 3 weeks ur being scanned x

@Rb486 I haven’t done a weeks one before, so it’s really just to see if I’m still pregnant. I might just take the normal digi and not the weeks, but I am tempted to see what it says.

@Rb486 @Hayleylou89 I think I’ll be 5 weeks on Friday, so still very early days.

It does go really slowly as at the moment there’s not much to be done. I’m not going to call the doctor until I know what’s happening, and I think I’ll book a private scan for about 8 weeks (if everything is ok in there). So the next 3 weeks are a bit of a limbo.
I think I need to test to make sure the spotting was nothing more than a little breakthrough. Otherwise if something isn’t right then I’ll turn up to a scan I’ve paid for and be told the same news.

@renna So strange whats going on, but uv covered dtd loads so maybe uv just had a really short peak and missed it when testing, or u might have peaked over night, can that happen too?

@SmileyT Im good, little bit of nausea today, but iv been pretty good, i dnt blame u waiting a bit a few have done the same, its getting busy in the chat now which is a good thing obviously:) ...just got a random call from hosp for an appt tomorrow 9am at the rainbow clinic which iv since found out is a clinic for women who have previously lost, so dnt really know what to expect at that and it was so last min to call me today for tomorrow 9am appt.

Iv booked a little trip to spain with my mum on sunday for a few days as my hubby is too busy with work and i have lots of holidays to take before the end of the month and iv checked and it is safe to fly and everything so im really looking forward to getting out this house for a few days of vitamin D, working from home is making me feel so fed up so i need a pick me up!

@MichT4 when is ur next scan, how far are u now? X xx

@IWM20 sorry to hear your experiencing this bleeding. Maybe I can repost these for you as you would have missed them. Read them when times are feeling tough. Hope your scan has a positive outcome today, but like everyone says we are all here and understand exactly how you feel. So just write all your emotions down here and we will work through them!

@MichT4 how far do you think you are 4 weeks? It’s such a hard time isn’t it the first trimester because everything seems to feel so far away. The first appointment and the first scan. Would you consider not retesting or is it something you feel you need to do? Be some reassurance if the weeks change?
