TTC after MC - July 2020 (Part 5)

@MichT4 yeah I reckon I will give myself mini goals... first goal is to test at the weekend and work the rest out after. Glad the spotting has stopped now ☺️ x

@Northernsoul90 sorry it isn't a low as you'd hope but definitely going in the right direction and I'd imagine you won't have positives on tests soon x

@VP91x unfortunately some selfish girl at work broke her ankle at the weekend so picking up all her work and had to actually get stuff done 😂, but I'm off tomorrow for the hairdressers 💁🏾‍♀️ and having nandos for dinner instead. How was your day? Get much decorating done? x

@Lynz2020 I'm so sorry for your loss, we conceived when we were actively trying to prevent in Jan and lost in March. I know it's hard but sometimes after a MC our bodies just take a while to go back to how they were and it can take up to a year for even a healthy couple so please don't lose hope xx

@IWM20 I am truly so sorry for your loss . It is heartbreaking and cruel but you will get through this. Take time to look after yourself and recover and grieve properly. I hope you are okay (as okay as you can be) xxx

@Lynz2020 Hello, welcome to the group. I’m really sorry for your miscarriage. The whole process feels really long and drawn out but don’t worry about the time since your mc, it will feel a lot longer to you than it actually is. Wishing you luck in ttc and I hope you are doing okay xx

Thank you, I think it's just frustrating and I'm a few months away from 36 so know it will be harder, my friend got pregnant a few months before too with her 1st aswell and she's due next month and she's mid 20s. Makes you wonder what's wrong with you.

@IWM20 I’ve been thinking of you all day and really hoping this wasn’t the update you would be giving. I’m so sorry you have to go through this again. Life can be very cruel at times. Look after yourself and we are all here for you xx

@VP91x yeah I probably will to be honest. Although I keep allowing my mind to wander to a dark place where I don’t get to that point. Silly really, need to be positive.

@Lynz2020 welcome to the group and sorry you’ve found yourself here.
Give yourself time, it isn’t that long since your mmc, so don’t worry about it taking ages. Your body will take the time it needs to reset and I’m sure it won’t be long for you

@IWM20 I am so so sorry lovely. I hope you’re ok (as can be expected). It’s so horrible to be going through it again and I’m sending lots of love to you. I agree with @MrsK21, look after yourself and take it easy for a few days, or however long you need. We are always here for you xx

Hey everyone, I had a mmc on April 15th, 1 day before my 12 week scan. I went to epu on the 14th with horrible cramping and bleeding at 5am and saw a nurse who checked my cervix and said I was probably miscarrying and I should come back later in the day as it was cruel to make me wait until my scan date. Went back in at 11am had my internal and found that the baby died at 8 weeks 4days. About 4 hours later everything came out and I had light bleeding after which lasted a few days. It took 2 weeks for a negative test then I had my 1st af exactly 4 weeks after my mmc, then I was put on antibiotics for a possible kidney infection a few weeks later but I think it was my body still righting itself. Been ttc ever since. I'm taking pregnacare original but think I'm getting too much iron so thinking about trying just folic and vitamin d. Wasn't taking anything the 1st time and got pregnant right away then went on it after I saw my gp. I kept taking it throughout the mmc upto now and it's taking ages to conceive.

@IWM20 my heart is breaking for you both, I am so sorry to hear this :( You're stronger than you know and you will get through this.
Please be kind to yourself and take all the time you need for healing. This whole process is so hard and it sucks that you're going through this again. I hope the next few days are as easy as can be for you in the circumstances xxx

Just a little update from me. Ive had the scan and it's definitely another miscarriage. Going to the EPU on Monday and I suppose they can see how it's progressing and see if it's all passed. God this is so hard isn't it xxx

@VP91x Yes definitely feeling frustrated, I’m really hoping so. Just got to try and stay positive I suppose, at least they have gone down and not plateaued xx

@MrsK21 Yes limbo buddies haha ☺️. It really is so dragged out it just feels like a constant reminder of what has happened. I will do I think just keep dtd regularly as and when we feel like it. I hope it passes quickly for us too and then we know where we are with our cycles! Xx

@Northernsoul90 Sorry to hear it's not come down as much as you wanted but the positive is it is coming down. The whole process is so dragged out and I know everyone says it will take time, but "time" itself seems to go so slowly when you want it to.
I would just DTD every couple of days regardless, that is what I've been doing. Like you, I had quite high HCG levels as well for the number of weeks I was at (I was in the thousands, despite being quite early).
I'm really hoping the next few weeks go quickly for us both - try not to worry, I'll be your limbo buddy xxx

@MichT4 no I self referred to epu because I was bleeding and was in tears on the phone with her so she booked me in for the following morning but I managed to book a private one in the afternoon on the day I started bleeding xxx

@MichT4 so funny isnt it they gave me a strip of about 5 pics but that one he looks like a little space baby in a big bubble 😂 just cnt wait for 12 week scan on the 20th pray all is ok and thats when they start filling the scan pic 🥰 x

@Mich2020 yeah i was only just 6 weeks and i seen the heart beat on the scan flickering away, the pic from that scan is below and next to that is the 9 week one, I think a 6 week scan will reassure u and theres a reason they offered me it and it so i wasnt stressing and worrying as it doesnt help, so i think get one booked in and im
Sure everything is absolutely fine and ull ease up then and look forward to ur next one x

@Rb486 yes iv got a doppler and already found the babys heart beat, first heard it at about 8.5 weeks its so lovely to listen too! X

Thank you @MichT4. Yes hopefully in a few days it will reach negative, I might test again on Sunday/Monday and see. I know it is too confusing to know whether it is picking up actual LH or HCG so I’m going to leave off doing them until I get the negative xx

@Emsnewmum so when you get your peak, you should ovulate in the next 12-36 hours, so could be any time in the next couple of days. So I'd DTD a couple more times if you can. If you don't want to, just do what you can and I'm sure you're covered anyway . And thank you x

@Northernsoul90 that has come down a fair bit, which is good, as on that trend it'll be 0 in a 3-4 days. Obviously it's probably more scientific than that, but it won't be long.
Sorry you are feeling upset. I think I would do what you have said and start OPKs when the PG test is negative. It's too confusing distinguishing between the HCG and LH. If you can, DTD every 2-3 days anyway and fingers crossed you get a positive OPK really soon xx
