Bucky - this is my first proper month ttc after mc in August, I think my obsession with getting pregnant again is taking my mind off the mc and it won't be as bad if I get pregnant again soon if that makes any sense? Losing the baby made DP and I realise we really wanted another one but I know if I do get pregnant again I will be worried sick for the first 12 weeks. I do understand why it was so hard for you to think about ttc and all things baby for a while though, I never realised how hard and painful having a mc was until I experienced it myself. But hey onwards and upwards as they say.

Right girls I've bought some CBDs and don't know whether to test tomorrow or not, logical sane part of me says don't be stupid test when AF is late, mad ttc baby obsessed part of brain says go on pee on a stick it won't hurt you know you want to either your pregnant or not better to know (it's like a devil and angel on my shoulders) which one do I go with..............

Anyway, we've just started TTC DC2. DD1 19 months. I'm on CD23 now. Haven't really tried properly this month, just gone with the flow, as it were. Also NO idea whether/when I ovulated this month as CM rather odd (just a little bit on and off much earlier than I'd normally expect it - sorry if TMI). Who knows...

I thought I was feeling sick and tired last night as I was reading your posts about early symptoms and was feeling hopeful. Woke up with stonking cold and sore throat. Hmmm.

We're prepared for it to take a while(DD an accident so no benchmark and DH is a smoker, coffee addict and we both drink probably a bit too much...) but we'll try not to get tooooo anxious and just enjoy it!

Thanks Bucky . The way I look at it ~ what's meant to be will happen. I was well-rested and not-recently pg when got pg with the baby I just lost... and mc'ed. No logic in that. SO I am throwing the logic out the window and just going with the flow. After all I LOVE my DH and enjoy being with him - bd'ing or just like in good old times, for the fun of it

I don't blame you at all. I think we should have a healthy doze of selfishness in all of us. Honestly, why would you deliberately expose yourself to such emotional strain as meeting with a pg girlfriend? At that point - the top topics on each of your minds were on the opposite sides of the spectrum. I'd do the same thing if I were you... or in fact if I were her!

Okay well this will probably be my last post on here till next Thursday as DP rarely gives me chance to get on the PC at home! I'm off to France to hopefully catch the last of the good weather. At least that'll be one week out of the 2ww gone.

Superdrug have two twin pack pregnancy tests for £10 and I just nearly bought some, but I would worry my DP may find them and think I'm obsessing slightly as I already have some that came with OPK's

A word of caution about giving up on coffee - I tried and had ROYAL headaches. After all I talked with my GP and he said - "don't bother, more pain than gain. As long as you're not drinking barrels, you should be fine."

Deb, it's totally bogus but they said he has sensory hypersensitivity. The sensory that is hypersensitive for him is textures. Now, since lo explore the world, textures included, through their mouth - if one has hypersensitivity there, s/he will be guarding that area from over-stimulation. That includes not being willing to articulate/ even move his tongue. Sounds weird doesn't? But so many symptoms of this condition were right on - he is a very picky eater, hates any food with texture (meat, cottage cheese, etc), NEVER puts toys in his mouth (I thought it was great!), etc.

So they actually want him to start with an occupational therapist who'll work with him on "sensory integration" (sounds glam, doesn't for a 19 month old ). They think that once they can break through that sensitivity, he will not only start eating better but will also get more interest in using his mouth/ tongue, etc and that will expedite his speech development. My little developmental marvel!

Hi ClairePO - if you scan the other 2WW thread we are all on, there are load sof conversations about symptoms, but in the main they are:

sore breasts
darker aureoles (nipples)
cramping like period pains
metalic taste in the mouth
general nausea
food cravings
crying/ being over emotional
orange feet (joking!)

The other posters will add to the list, but I don't think you are meant to experience any symptoms until beanie implants in the uterus, which is 6-12 days after fertalisation, so probably towards the end of the 2WW.

Also had alot of milky CM but not so much now sorry for tmi
No signs AF due yet either which is weird for me as normally get back ache about 4days before and had nothing so far!!

Symptoms - nausea, tiredness, sensitive/sore boobs, creamy cervical mucus, tearful, etc...That's enough to get you going!

Hi Bucky2007~ You sound just like me. Just recently I started playing lottery (in USA - so no competition to you ). I had a mc few weeks back and figured - if I was just "lucky" with that, what not to say I might hit a big one playing? I must be loosing my mind

What's even sadder is that I now get upset every time my ticket is not a winner. How pathetic is that?! So now I get upset if my pg test is negative OR my ticket isn't a winning one! ~ More wine anybody?!~

Hi Deb ~ I get to jump on the other thread where we talked about our kiddies not talking at the expected age. My DS was just evaluated and the Dx is not at all what we expected. Nothing bad but kinda bogus. I'm not sure I'm buying it... Will see.

Clair I am SO jealous! Your hormones went down already?! I just tested a few days back and still got that nasty left over "positive" from my last mc! Somebody said it can stay "positive" for up to 4 wks! Do you think I should recheck again? No pg tests left in the house ~ How did THAT happen?!

On to symptoms spotting - I swear I OV'ed yesterday. I had this very typical cramps that went all the way to my sides (where I think fallopian tubes are - isn't that what eggs are using to travel down? Yeah... anatomy was not my strongest suit in college ) so we BD'ed just to be sure.

Now if I do get pg this month - my Dr. will have a heart attack. They told me to hold off for 2 months after my mc and not to do anything until my lab results come back. Rubbish~ (Kate develops beautiful English accent - she thinks she is SO cool now!)

Welcome ClairePO! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage and cheers for the cake for elevenses. Actually, now you have given me a HUGE real life craving for cake!! In my office people bring in cakes for their birthday to celebrate, but having checked the kitchen this morning there's nothing . There is never a birthday when you need one!

SK - I do envy you having a life in Caledonia . I work 12+ hour days in a pretty unpredicable job and DH works abroad a lot, so our current working lives are not exactly compatible with family, so we are searching about for where we want to live in Scotland. I expect I will have to make a decison about my career - whatever happens, if a baby does ever turn up for us, the career will have to be radically compromised.
