Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

DG a cervix that is high and soft is a big sign of pregnancy...... I see a BFP on the horizon!!!!

digitalgirl · 10/10/2007 08:53

bucky I think the no-drinking rule for men is in reference to performance. So if he can still 'perform' after a glass of wine then that's fine . Apparently, it takes over 60 days to make sperm...so whatever he's eating/drinking now will only affect the little buggers that appear in two to three months time. But yes, it IS annoying when DH can't make a little sacrifice for only two days. We have to lay off so much for TWO weeks during ttc and then a whole 9 months once PG. No fair, I say.

Today I have a looooong day at work. Feeling on the mend so am looking forward to enjoying the weekend, disease-free.

Got another weird symptom...again this really is too much information for some...was checking cervix position last night as I thought if AF is about to turn up then it should be low and hard. Well, still no sign of it (so it's up high) but the whole of that area is really soft. Like REALLY soft, there's no resistance (and the bd'ing last night was really strange as a result). Again, not sure if that's coz I've been unwell or if that's a PG symptom.

Sorry if I've grossed anyone out.

Confused,
dg x

ClairePO · 10/10/2007 08:18

Bucky does men drinking make a big difference? I never knew that! I mean obv drinking heavily I would assume is a no-no.

If cake making were a symptom I'd be OK, I just never then get around to eating it, I don't really have a very sweet tooth.

Bucky2007 · 10/10/2007 08:03

digitalgirl your symptoms sound positive, especially the cake . I am sure I read in some scientific journal that that was a dead cert.

I couldn't resist and did another OPK just to see and the smiley face has gone. Only BD'd once in the 48 hour period because DP is knackered as he is working so hard at the moment. I also got in a bit of a mood with him because despite me asking him not to drink for a few days during ov, he is still glugging the wine. Two days, that's all I asked, I'm not even sure if it would make any difference but why could he NOT drink for TWO days. He says he really wants a DC but he can't do that simple thing?? He only drank one glass but its the principle. Maybe I am being unfair and unreasonable but it got me sooo mad. .

I didn't say much about it (although I did say quite clearly that he had no willpower)but he slouched off to bed early and went to sleep. So I can only hope that the once was enough .

OP posts:
fairysnuff · 09/10/2007 22:55

ooh, can cake eating be a symptom, pleeeeease!!

digitalgirl · 09/10/2007 22:17

lol bucky 'i buleeve, such as, the Yoo Ess should help south africa, such as'

Thansk clairePO well I have had AF cramps, so am officially on knicker watch. and sore nips...and really gross partially cooked egg white CM [sorry tmi]. Is this because I have a cold?

Have also had TWO helpings of cake today. Is that a symptom?

ClairePO · 09/10/2007 21:36

Evening all! Sorry it was BFN DG hopefully in a few days it will be a BFP.

Well I have no symptoms, not even of an approaching AF. Getting kinda bored with waiting for her to turn up and not knowing when to expect her. Prior to m/c I was regular as clockwork 28 days and sore boobs a few days before were a certain sign she was on her. Just want to have a CD1 and start trying properly.

Bucky2007 · 09/10/2007 21:01

OMG check this out...mensa here she comes. We think we have problems

OP posts:
GryffinGirl · 09/10/2007 13:32

hello everyone - just popping in . Congratulations to Floss and Deb, if I haven't said that already.

CD25 today, but no real symptoms to report, hence lack of posting. I do have sore (.)(.) but nothing more than normal towards AF time. Everyone tells me they get agonisingly sore, which mine are not. I'm not even at test stage and I am already giving up hope this month

digitalgirl · 09/10/2007 13:03

I know I know I'm naughty...should listen to my own advice, I'm happy enough to dish it out here on MN
I'm at work today, so doing my best to concentrate.
DH sent me a lovely email saying that I prob tested too early and that he's booked us some spa treatments for our anniversary weekend. he's lovely.
picknmix thanks hon!!!
pixie can we still be test buddies on saturday?
bucky I'm going to dress up all posh, it's going to be a proper do they're both having suits made. (maybe we might have to buy a lo a cute little outfit too)

ps my nips are sore

pps you ladies are great. i hope we all get pg together and then we can support each other through 9 months of obsessiveness.

Bucky2007 · 09/10/2007 11:24

Hello everyone, nice to see you all 'out and about' today . It was like a ghost town here at the weekend!

digitalgirl you are a very naughty girl, but you get a big anyway. I read that you are not supposed to test till 17dpo to get a v. accurate result. Of course we all know that that is nigh impossible unless you are unaware or not ttc, so its OK. But at 11dpo you are well short of 17dpo so it could very well be a wrong result. Your illness isn't going to help as you will be run down anyway, so wrap up warm and drink lots of lemsip and if you are not at work, watch loosewoman and have a smirk at Carol McGiffin (sp?) having a rant. That always cheers me up. We are all shoving babydust your way so you will get a BFP in time for lesbian SIL civil ceremony . P.S. what do you wear to a civil ceremony? Is it like normal wedding garb? .

Pixie you've started me off now. Now I am thinking that maybe I did ov at CD9 and my on the opk was in fact a BFP. I am officially mental (on top of being a thruster )

*PicnMix, why would you get a dip for no reason . Maybe Deb has made our thread luckier...

OP posts:
pixie04 · 09/10/2007 10:49

DigitalGirl its horrible getting BFN's isn't it even when you know you've tested too early. Try and hold out for Saturday.

Write off this morning and try and start a fresh for the rest of the day. You will get that BFP at some point. Maybe it's even on its way this month. Sometimes EWCM doesn't mean a whole lot except that there has been some sort of surge in your hormones. Try and relax you've got some great symptoms happening and if your 11 DPO then either AF will arrive in the next three days or you will get a BFP.

big cyber

I'm tempted to use one of my OPK's this afternoon, I've been told that if you get a positive on them it can mean your PG and I'm getting withdrawl symptoms from not peeing on things.

PicknMix · 09/10/2007 10:36

Ahhhh DG you poor thing - crappy start to a very wet day. Massive hugs to you.....

You know that you've tested to early to don't get despondent yet - just try and hold out for saturday xx

digitalgirl · 09/10/2007 09:55

I'm very, very ashamed to admit that I tested this morning why oh why oh why don't I bloody learn? I KNEW a bfn would make me feel sad. So now I'm sad AND ill. Brilliant combo.

And WTF is going on with this EWCM, all day yesterday and also this morning. Soooo not in the mood to bd. Sulked at DH for losing my new hairdryer. How does that happen? I hate the world

debinaustria · 09/10/2007 09:10

Pixie - my nipples are VERY sensitive, boobs aren't sore - just bigger!

Hope you get that BFP on Saturday

Deb

pixie04 · 09/10/2007 08:46

Ooo Debs you poor bugger. I didn't get to bed till 1am as I was working and had to get up at 6.15 this AM and I am KNACKERED! Don't know how your doing it you make sure you get that afternoon nap. Debs you said your boobs are increasing in size... Do they hurt? Mine are quiet a bit bigger but no pain whatsoever and am starting to think its just pre AF.

Bucky I'm 13 DPO but am holding out until Saturday to test .... here is my logic.... tomorrow I will be 14 DPO and due on so I won't acctually be late until Thursday (thats if I am late of course) and I don't want to do a test on a work day morning because, well, I'll be over the moon and unable to hide it from my colleagues and I don't want to tell them. Also I want DP to be there and we work various shifts so we won't both be off until Saturday.

DG I'm going to join you on the illness symptom. Could be the change in weather but I've got a sore throat.

Am now 13 DPO and boobs are swollen but not sore, am tired but had a late night, I have a sore throat and am feeling crampy. I think I prob missed the boat around OV and I do think AF could be on the way but I am still hoping

debinaustria · 09/10/2007 07:25

Hi Bucky and Picknmix

Bucky - fingers crossed for you then!!

Picknmix - I was up so late because we got a weird e-mail saying they'd seen our place advertised in the Flybe in flight magazine, and until then we didn't even know we were in it! So I was doing a bit of detective work about that - and answering the query.Let's hope lots more people read it and want to book for this winter!!

Struggling this morning though, didn't get to sleep until 1.00 and up with the boys at 6.45.Will definitely need my afternoon nap!

Deb

PicknMix · 09/10/2007 06:57

Hiya Deb how are you doing? Thanks for the liberal sprinkling of dust!!! Off your chocolate??? Pregnancy does crazy stuff doesn't it!! If you're so tired how come you were still up last night - hope everything is ok?

DG how are you feeling this a.m my fellow sicky symptom spotter ??

I think my temps showed a dip yesterday and then are right back up again today, higher than before. Don't want to get too excited as there's no proof in this but read up on it and it could have been an 'implantation dip'. Of course it could also just have been a dip, plain and simple with no reason to it

Hope everyone has a lovely day today x

Bucky2007 · 09/10/2007 06:41

Well so far I am exactly the same then Deb lets hope it carries on that way and I get the same result as you!

OP posts:
debinaustria · 08/10/2007 22:44

Hello everyone, just popped in to see you, I didn't have any symptoms really until I got the BFP and then they started, then stopped. I did another test and all still OK at the moment. The only thing at the moment is I'm more tired than usual and my boobs are also increasing in size. Sickness hasn't really started yet - one weird thing is that I don't want to eat chocolate - how weird is that??

Now I had ewcm on cd8, 9, 10 so I though that was it - ov, but according to my temps I didn't ovulate until cd 14 . Thought that might help some of you.

Deb

Just back from dinner with the girls - and momentarily forgot I was ill from all the laughing! DH is eating smelly food on the sofa next me and it has reminded me that I am ill. Will be having an early night.

Hooray for the bucky lucky you with your cheap round!!

pixie I'm 10dpo tomorrow, so a few more days to go...but am liking the illness is a symptom theory, I don't normally get ill.

picknmix we can be ill symptom spotters together!

PicknMix · 08/10/2007 19:35

Hi Bucky! Lets face it, if we didn't have some balls at work then nothing would ever get done, eh??! I once earnt the title 'Little Hitler' (the little part was referring to my 5'4" height, not that I was just a little bit Hitler'esque!!!)

Congrats on the on your opk - sounds like the ewcm earlier on was just a warm up! Good thing you bought the opks, nice also that it happened so quickly for you (less waiting around, as I'm sure a 'thruster organiser' isn't very good at being patient!!!

Bucky2007 · 08/10/2007 19:16

HI PicknMix, cross posted and didn't see you.

OP posts:
Bucky2007 · 08/10/2007 19:15

Yay digitalgirl I would say illness is a symptom. I concur with Pixie I got ill right before I missed AF!!! Same explanation, your immune system is lower to prevent rejection. Looking good girlie

Hey Pixie where'd you go?? I kept looking at the October thread and wondering when you will be testing.

Hello Excitable and Madoldbird.

NOW....i have news. First day of OPK testing...and turns up on the stick!! So not sure what the EWCM was?? . Cheap round too, so now have six sticks left for next month. DP got 'the text' today saying to be up for it (excuse the pun) and not to drink beer.

Also, I went on a management course today, which was supposed to train me in how to make my teams high performance. Instead I now have a complex that I am a hard nosed, bossy cow who doesn't listen to peoples views (basically what my test results said). I do have positive points as well obviously... but still I am officially a Monica control freak who is a, and I quote, a 'thruster organiser'. Even DP quivered in a corner when I demanded to know if this was true, if I was in fact evil incarnate. He ran away and shouted from upstairs that sometimes I can be a bit scary but obviously overall I was fab or he wouldn't love me. . So...all good then, well I 'm not interested in what he has to say anyway, we'll be doing it my way or no way (bucky is being sarcastic).

OP posts:
PicknMix · 08/10/2007 19:01

Pixie am loving your reasoning about the cold/lower immune system - I have a really sore throat, feel hot and cold all the time (basically I have a cold) but now I shall assume it is Symptom No.2! So along with my 1 sore boob, I now have a sore throat to add to the list....!

Sounds like Friday/Saturday could be a 'testing' time for some of you (geddit?!, sorry looooong day at work). Have my fingers crossed for all of you

Not sure when I'll test. Thinking of waiting til 14dpo (which is Sunday) but then think don't really want to see a BFN so may wait until cd35 which is the 19th Oct.....sooooo far away!!!
