I'm on CD25 AF due 2nd July, potentially no ovulation this month or my body just refuses to budge on temp 😩

If anyone else would like to join please do xx

Hey, just an update for you all, still bleeding bright red, and I dont think there's much point going to EPU today, last time was just so awful and I knew already. I'm just gonna manage it from home

MichT4 · 01/07/2020 11:26

@Rb486 I used the Femometer ones. You can get them pretty cheap, and they are used with the app so they detect peak, high or low. That said, the app recognises any (as do other apps - I also use glow which is a simpler positive or negative detector), so any cheapies will do. I used those because of cost, and they were pretty accurate. I got a peak reading then no other signs of ovulation to get my second peak later and it was a much darker line, so I think they are good. CB is good to take the questioning out, as @Northernsoul90 said, but depends what you want to spend.

In terms of advice, I must say this group made it a lot less stressful for me. Lovely ladies, fab advice, lots of non TTC talk too and just great to speak to people who know.
I also went back to concentrating on training, which is my main hobby, and I had left it behind a little after MC. Gave me something else to focus on.

Rb486 · 01/07/2020 11:22

@Northernsoul90 thank you, and I’m so sorry to hear you have gone through it recently also. It can feel like such a long wait for your hormone levels to go down. But I guess we must let our bodies do what they have to do to make sure we’re in the best position to try again. I hope you get your negative/green light soon. Yeah I do have some cheapies from amazon. I may try true clear blue ones.. I need a secret account away from my DP so he can’t see how much I’m spending 😂

Xx

Northernsoul90 · 01/07/2020 11:16

Thank you @MichT4 yes I think I will carry on doing the cheap pregnancy tests so I can see them go down until they reach negative.

@Rb486 welcome to the group and I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️. I used clear blue opks when I conceived last time but I have bought some cheap ones for this first cycle as the cb ones are very expensive but there is no deciphering of the tests so they are easy to use! I think most people start testing around cd8 but it depends on individual cycles xxx

Rb486 · 01/07/2020 11:16

@MichT4 thank you. I will do exactly that and start testing on CD8-10. That’s okay, we’re all learning 😊 did you find them to be accurate? Is there a preferred brand anyone likes?

@Eli2020 I totally get that- people say when you relax it will happen but when all you want is your baby/to be pregnant it’s really hard to switch of from it. Has anyone got any tips on how to relax or anyone have any hobbies that help them relax/switch of a bit?

Xx

Lollol86 · 01/07/2020 11:05

@Northernsoul90 I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. It’s such a horrible thing to go through and at a time like this too. This was my second miscarriage, my first was between my 2 girls. I found this time a lot harder as I felt so lonely, going though it all alone due to COVID has been the worse thing.
Hopefully I haven’t ovulated then, that gives me something to hold on too.
I’m not wait for af, I’ve done loads of research on this online and everywhere says unless you have been specifically told to wait for a certain reason there’s no need to wait!

MichT4 · 01/07/2020 11:02

@Eli2020 my sister said the same to me after she got PG after my MC. She said not to stress or think about it, but in the next breath said how annoying it must be when someone gets PG by doing it once and without trying. Sigh!

@Rebecca1992 I agree with @Eli2020's advice above. Some people get BFPs earlier, but I think waiting as long as you can is best (easier said than done) in case you get a false negative.

@Northernsoul90 glad it all went ok. Good timing as well for them to detect ovulation is imminent. I would go for it if you feel ready. As you're tests were getting lighter I would fully expect in 3 ish weeks for them to be distinguishable. Maybe keep taking cheapies alongside TTC so that you will know they go down to negative.

@Rb486 welcome to the group, and sorry for your loss. This month was my first with OPKs and we took a while to be friends. I'm sure some of the ladies will have better advice, but I think they say to start testing CD8-10 if you have a fairly regular 28 day cycle. Someone else will be able to clear this up, and likely tell me I'm talking nonsense xx

Rebecca1992 · 01/07/2020 11:00

@Eli2020 thanks! Fingers and toes crossed!

Rb486 · 01/07/2020 10:53

Hello Ladies, can I join? I had a MMC in April, had 2x medical management and have just got my first period yesterday 4 weeks after second lot of bleeding finished. So I’m on CD2 now. Have everything crossed for everyone this month. My last pregnancy was a complete surprise and it was my first. So I will be new to the OPK tests etc. So will gladly receive any help and advice Smile xx

Eli2020 · 01/07/2020 10:51

@VP91x and @MichT4 thanks so much for the lovely messages! It made me feel so much better (still a bit upset though-especially at her saying if you stress about it it will not happen. I feel people who got pregnant straight away do not know how disheartening this journey can be 🙁). I'm so happy we have this group- everybody is so supportive and I'm so grateful for it 🤗

@Rebecca1992 I think that's perfect-if you have already had dtd 3 times and will do it 2 more times I think that's perfect 👌 I don't think there is a general rule to test but I think they say if you are truly pregnant it should detect it on 12 dpo (I don't think that's always the case as some people implant later but most bfp will appear on a frer apparently on 12 dpo)

@Re6ecc4 so sorry you experienced that this morning 🙁 I hope for you it's not cp - keep us posted but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Northernsoul90 · 01/07/2020 10:48

Morning everyone! I have been to the EPU this morning due to the positive tests. The nurse did an internal scan and said everything looks fine she can’t see any retained tissue it’s probably just my hormones were quite strong initially so they are taking longer to go down and that’s probably the case because the sack was quite big. She did my blood and is going to ring later with results as long as they are low I shouldn’t have to go back so hopefully that’s the case 🤞🏼🤞🏼 She also said she could see that I hadn’t ovulated yet since the mva 3 weeks ago but could see follicles and thought I would ovulate within the next week which is quite exciting! She said they advise to still use protection as there could be confusion between tests if I didn’t wait for af but I think I’m just going to try anyway. What would you all do?

@Lollol86 sorry to hear about your loss ❤️ I had mva 3 weeks ago and haven’t ovulated yet so you never know? Xx

@Rebecca1992 yes that’s the peak! Get to it! Xx

@Re6ecc4 so sorry to hear that... do you think that is definitely the case or could it just be some random bleeding? Xx

Rebecca1992 · 01/07/2020 10:37

@MichT4 thank you! We've DTD the last 3 days, if we go 2 days more inc today? That should be enough maybe??

@Re6ecc4 I'm so sorry, it can be so disheartening, I experienced a CP 3 weeks ago, I hope you feel better soon!

Is anyone testing soon? How many DPO is the general rule to test?

MichT4 · 01/07/2020 10:30

@Rebecca1992 YES that's it. Get DTD!! Have fun Wink

Rebecca1992 · 01/07/2020 10:24

So I guess this is what Peak is? Here's to my first official TWW....🤗

MichT4 · 01/07/2020 10:20

@Tink20058 that's great - how lovely you have a bump already, and lots of chances to see your bean growing at those scans.
Yes 11DPO, one app says 12DPO. I'll wait until AF is late (if she is) so some time over the weekend. I would wait til Sunday ideally but we have a small family thing on Sat for my nieces 3rd bday so drink would be involved.
I feel bad saying this in case I jinx it....FX I get to that point 🤞🤞🤞 xxx

mrsssk · 01/07/2020 10:17

@Lollol86 sorry to hear of what you have been through. It does seem that most women ovulate quite soon after and you may have missed it but may not have. If you feel ready to try and had a negative test, I would go ahead and do so. I totally get the wanting to be pregnant so bad - I really hope you get your sticky bean soon x

@Re6ecc4 I can imagine you must be sick with worry, please take care of yourself and rest up, hopefully the bleeding subsides. Could you ring EPU or GP and see if they will see you?

Tink20058 · 01/07/2020 10:07

@MichT4 I’m really good Thankyou not many symptoms but don’t recall having many with my boys have another scan on Friday and will be 11 weeks then have my nhs one on 14th July so fingers crossed it’s all ok bump is growing and gone up to larger scrubs at work already 🤣🤣🤣 hope your well when are you due to test are you 11 dpo? Xxx

peonyrose87 · 01/07/2020 10:01

@MichT4 fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻 they feel heavier than AF boobs, but the tenderness is probably around the same, just obviously lasting longer.

MichT4 · 01/07/2020 09:38

@Tink20058 how are you getting on?

@lollol86 never lose hope! It will happen.

@Re6ecc4 oh my gosh, I wasn't expecting you to say that. I'm so sorry. Are you sure it's not just random bleeding? It can happen

Lollol86 · 01/07/2020 09:18

@Re6ecc4

Oh no, I’m so sorry 😢

Lollol86 · 01/07/2020 09:17

@HopeForRainbowbaby

I have had a negative pregnancy test so assume my hgc is 0?

@MichT4

ive had an increase of discharge last week for don’t know whether that was linked to the miscarriage or ovulation.

All we can do is hope, I just want to be pregnant so bad 😭

HopeForRainbowbaby · 01/07/2020 09:12

@Lollol86 welcome and I'm sorry about your loss. Big hugs to you❤️

You can't ovulate if you have got more than 5 ( I think it was 5) hcg in your blood. for ovulation to happen, you need to have negative pregnancy tests. I had positive tests till few days before my first period after first natural MC (9 weeks) and therefore don't think I have ovulated. I have also bled on and off over 10 days. For me, I could start ttc once bleeding stopped ( but it was natural MC and I'm not sure how it works with Mva). Have you done tests before the weekend ?

Re6ecc4 · 01/07/2020 09:08

My test this morning had a faint positive line but since that I have started bleeding red blood 😭😭😭 it appears that this is a "chemical" miscarriage 😭😭😭

MichT4 · 01/07/2020 09:08

@peonyrose87 I’m fine thank you. AF due at the end of the week so I’m keeping everything crossed. I had a small dip in temp, still above cover line but it seems to be staying there at the moment so I’m hoping it’s not me written out.
Glad you are feeling well. Do sore PG boobs feel different to sore AF boobs?

@lollol86 sorry to hear about your loss. Sending lots of love. I have no idea about ovulating, I think EPU told me it can be as early as 2 weeks post MC, but not sure if HCG has to be out of your system entirely. Do you have any signs it happened already or are you just worried you’ve missed it? Try not to worry about it, if it happened that early you might not have been in the right place to TTC again, and it would mean it won’t be long until the next cycle xx

Tink20058 · 01/07/2020 09:08

Well girls, finally watched Moana this morning and I’m crying over a cartoon island coming back to life 🤣🤣🤣 super hormonal today 🤣🤣🤣 hope your all well xxx
