I hope @littlebee1990 doesn't mind me starting a new thread as our old one was full...

Congratulations to @SK2970 who had just posted a positive test!

@1992EM It does become so expensive doesn't it. Not really any symptoms really, nothing that doesn't usually come around this time of my cycle! I didn't have any symptoms with my first until around 6weeks either. If I wasn't taking tests/ actively trying to conceive then I wouldn't be suspicious!x

1992EM · 28/06/2020 19:09

@Kate123cl Thank you, I am not sure if it was but just usual to be that late. I am using early first response. I haven't been out at shops in months but if this isn't our month I am going to bulk buy cheap ones as it is so much money to basically throw away . Do you have any symptoms? X

kate123cl · 28/06/2020 18:40

@1992EM Oh bless you, sorry to hear about that if that was the case for you. What tests are you using? I was reluctant to spend the money on FRER so I've just used the £1 tests from the usual shops. That's what I got my first positive with my little boy too x

1992EM · 28/06/2020 18:38

@kate123cl that's a great result . I am between 9 and 12 dpo had a negative yesterday. Will test again tomorrow when I'll be between 10 and 13 dpo. AF is due Tuesday but I was 5 days late last month which I'm beginning to think could have been a chemical as it was our first month ttc and I am never late .

kate123cl · 28/06/2020 18:28

Thank you all! Still in shock

@1992EM I'm 10/11dpo and AF isn't due until July 4th so 6 days until she's meant to arrive!

1992EM · 28/06/2020 18:23

@Smushty14 That's a good idea . When is AF due for you? My early frers arrived. I got 4 for £14 on amazon. I'll probably test tomorrow which will be 1 day before AF. I don't have any symptoms today other than this morning I had heartburn when I got up. I have never had heartburn before and it is not pleasant .

@Kate123cl that is definitely positive. Congratulations 💕How many dpo are you and when is AF due ?

Littlebee1990 · 28/06/2020 17:53

@mrswilso I’m so sorry AF showed up. I used OPK’s this month and I ovulated 4 days earlier than my app predicted, I would’ve missed it had I not been using them! I used to clear blue ones which are like £18 which give you empty circles and a just a static for peak. I would really recommend x

Kalecat · 28/06/2020 17:36

12 dpo and those lines I got 8 dpo still haven't progressed, all I'm getting is BFNs. Must've been a fluke day. I'm going to stop testing now and just let AF come.

Smushty14 · 28/06/2020 17:33

@cd24x I'm doing a test every other day and still nothing.... I reckon if I am pregnant I will be a late show

Smushty14 · 28/06/2020 17:31

@1992em I can't believe I did it too 🤣🙈 I think I'm going to use the rapid result one next weekend if AF still hasn't showed. If it's still negative and no AF then I will buy the FRER

I'm sorry @mrswilso 😞 At least you can enjoy that glass of wine. I would love a pitcher of pimms right now 🤣

@kate123cl ahhhh amazing!!! Congratsss!!!

@dinosaurus86 I'm shocked by that... I love peas 🤣

Nottherealslimshady · 28/06/2020 17:20

Good luck to everyone starting their next cycles. I start OPKs on tuesday, DH is reducing his bath temp and its sex every fertile day for us!

We can do this! 💪

mrswilso · 28/06/2020 17:18

@kate123cl well that is clear as day 🤩✨ congratulations! 💕

kate123cl · 28/06/2020 17:02

Ok so I just did another test without ripping it open😂

Dinosaurus86 · 28/06/2020 14:27

Also, did anyone else know that peas are apparently a natural contraceptive?! I had no idea and eat loads of them. Just found out yesterday when I was looking up foods to thicken the endometrial lining Confused

Dinosaurus86 · 28/06/2020 14:24

@Fran2020 I did mention it to my consultant a few years ago and it definitely can cause fertility problems but he wasn’t too concerned in my case. Something like because I was diagnosed before age 23 (not by much) then statistically there is less impact. I still have malabsorption problems (this is coeliac related) though. I probably should see the doctor again but I moved area and they are not as good here. I had blood tests quite recently and they didn’t show anything too concerning. So I think I should be positive about it! DP has some separate issues and was moved off methotrexate (very bad for babies) around a year ago and onto one that shouldn’t affect fertility so we’re hoping no long term harm was done...!

Whilstwewait · 28/06/2020 12:25

@fran2020 glad you've managed to come to a decision. I think you've made the right choice. Hope AF isn't treating you too badly. Not long until you're in with another chance

@kate123cl definitely a line there. Id just be wary of opening the case i did that once saw a line but wasn't pregnant. Mine had no colour though x

@RoEP2018 congratulations xx

Sorry to those who have had AF. Im still only 8 DPO. Ive been doing really well only checking here once a day but find myself scrolling through threads again driving myself insane. I don't have any symptoms really. Im trying to stay strong and hold off testing. Xx

mrswilso · 28/06/2020 12:17

Ooh I'll check that one out too @cd24x thank you!
There's no harm in a a wee Pimms! Hope you have a lovely day!

cd24x · 28/06/2020 12:13

@katieFH I've only had one proper cycle since coming off the pill which was short at 25 days. I reckon I've been a bit naïve in thinking they would regulate quite quickly. I've bought femometer OPKs for next cycle if AF decides to show up. I was feeling really crampy, bloated and nauseous for about a week after suspected ovulation which got my hopes up. Symptoms disappeared around CD23/10DPO but these last 2/3 days I've felt a few weird stabbing pains/twinges on my left side. I've also been awake at 4am the last 3 days and have had horrific heartburn since yesterday evening. I did tests at 10 and 14DPO and both BFNs. Definitely think I just need to chill out and just wait and see what happens, especially as this is only cycle 1 of TTC! Have you felt anything different? It's so hard not to symptom spot.

@Smushty14 have you done any tests yet now that AF is overdue? Cramping/CM/Nipples are all good signs though! My test at 10DPO was a FRER and was my last one, so I've just been using cheap ones I found in the co-op. I am tempted to buy another box but worry I'll be tempting fate and AF will show (although that might not be a bad thing cause at least I'll know what's going on 🙈)

@mrswilso sorry AF showed up? I've got femometer OPKs for next cycle if AF doesn't show. The app will apparently tell me when to start POAS once I start logging that my next cycle has started depending on cycle length. A lot like CB as @mylittlebean2019 has suggested.

So we've got OH family over today for a windy BBQ. Do you think it will be ok to have a Pimm's or 2 even though AF hasn't shown up?

Gymbelle · 28/06/2020 11:58

So many positives! Congratulations all 😍

AF started for me on Friday. It was weird as I had so many symptoms this month, up I am sure my mind plays tricks on me so going to be more relaxed next month.

I will be joining you @mylittlebean2019 and @mrswilso. Bring on July.

@Fran2020 Cycle 13 will be ours!!!❤️

mrswilso · 28/06/2020 11:56

@mylittlebean2019 thank you - I'll have a look into it. I'm usually 28 days very regular, this month it seems to be a day early so I'm taking that as a sign that I definitely ovulated earlier like I had thought so I think I'll probably be testing around then too if I do invest ✨
Trying not to be too gutted, and to be fair I'm alright. It's just annoying! ...gaaah ovaries and uterus, just do the effing job ladies!! 😫 I definitely did my bit this month 🤣

mylittlebean2019 · 28/06/2020 11:41

@mrswilso I will come share a float and wine with you! I’m gutted as had so many “symptoms” but at the same time not surprised as we only managed to DTD twice this cycle so it’s my own fault. I’m committing to do the SMEP this cycle!!

I recommend the CB digital. I don’t have anything to compare to but it’s really easy to use. So my AF started yesterday and it’s saying I need to start testing on 5th July (based on a 29 day cycle)

mrswilso · 28/06/2020 11:26

AF just showed up after threatening to all day yesterday...hrmph 😤
Can one of you ladies in the July Sperm Pond please throw me a floatie and a glass of wine?? I'm gonna need it 🤣

OPK girls, can I ask a couple of questions...should I be doing it now? And which ones would you recommend? I've been trying to just go with the flow and manage it well at the start of my cycle but I feel like taking the guessing out of fertile week might take a bit of the stress out of the TWW. I'm moving into cycle 4 and I know it's not been that long, just a tad frustrated and impatient 🙃😂 I was on the pill for a long time so it does weigh on my mind that I may not be quite as back to normal as I think I am...

1992EM · 28/06/2020 10:24

@Smushty14 I also did this . I bought the rapid response ones . So have ordered the early ones which should be coming today 🙈

Smushty14 · 28/06/2020 10:20

@cd24x I'm the same!! I'm now CD30 and my period was due yesterday. Had lots of cramping over the last couple of days, even had sore nipples last night. Had so much creamy CM I thought af had arrived but nothing....

My partner is pleased that I'm so wet but 🙈🤣

I also realised I bought the wrong first response tests 🤣 I have one test left but I won't be using it until next weekend if AF still hasn't arrived 😏

KatieFH · 28/06/2020 08:54

@cd24x yes I used the clearblue ones and never got a static smiley just a flashing one very early on, so not sure when I ovulated officially! I only tested once a day thought and read you can miss the surge!
Now I think my periods are more irregular than I first thought so that might throw a curveball into next month!
Have you felt any different at all? I’m wondering if stressing about it all is making AF late! X
