I hope @littlebee1990 doesn't mind me starting a new thread as our old one was full...

Congratulations to @SK2970 who had just posted a positive test!

@Whilstwewait totally agree, it's a very small ask, we're expected to take a pill a day our whole fertile lives! I've just swapped which pill I'm taking.

@1992EM I take seven seas trying for a baby. Only started a few weeks ago though, I didn't realise you were meant to take vitamins before you got pregnant.

1992EM · 01/07/2020 16:58

@whilstwewait Thank you, I totally agree . I've been talking them for 3 months. It's the only thing I am asking him to do so I hope he does. I will look into these .

What vitamins to you all take? So far I have taken pregnecare conception and an extra folic acid and vit b12. I have low vit b12 and due an injection so have that booked for next week. I also normally take tranxmatic acid during AF but have read you shouldn't if trying to conceive , just incase anyone else is on them. Tbh I only use them the first day when AF is at it's heaviest . I had terrible AF while on the pill but has settled down a lot now I have been off it nearly a year. I am literally willing to try anything now. I am also paranoid about taking ibuprofen as heard you shouldn't if pregnant but I assume it is ok to take before hand 🙈 .

Whilstwewait · 01/07/2020 16:49

@doctorbambino @1992EM @fran2020 @Nottherealslimshady men are a pain. I remind my husband every night to take his its the least he can do. If we are going through pregnancy and labour. Plus only vitamins you get in food anyway. My husband takes conceive plus then extra vitamin C. They contain the recommended daily amount of everything suggested by the NHS to improve sperm when you get a sperm analysis done so id definitely recommend them for your OH

@Gemsy18 I have heard they can detect HcG so id probably be tempted to test just incase especially if you normally ovulate a lot earlier. Xx

KatieFH · 01/07/2020 15:49

Took a few tests today and all have the faintest line. 6 days over AF due! Might be being a bit too hopeful with how faint they are (they are bolder in person)

@nottherealslimshady 😂😂 neither of us drink tea or coffee. I will put one out with his dinner 😂 see if he takes it. He says he wants to get his own. Which I said was fine but know he'll end up getting the same ones 😂🙈.

Nottherealslimshady · 01/07/2020 15:22

@1992EM crush it into a mug of decaf coffee 😂

1992EM · 01/07/2020 14:22

@KatieFM That looks positive, maybe try a frer early test as a lot of the strips require more hormone than others and therefore won't show as quickly . Hopefully it is you BFP 👍💕

@nottherealslimshady They have arrived 😂

KatieFH · 01/07/2020 14:13

@nottherealslimshady thanks! I must admit it’s a lot bolder in person than on the picture haha. X

Nottherealslimshady · 01/07/2020 14:11

@Gemsy18 symptom watching is the worst! I convinced myself I was pregnant last cycle then AF was 2 days early!

@1992EM I dont doubt you for a second 😁

@KatieFH I see the faintest of lines, hope it's your BFP!

KatieFH · 01/07/2020 14:06

6 days after AF due - got a very faint line. Going to keep testing over next few days and see if it gets any darker!

@Nottherealslimshady yeah I've only been using opk for last 3 month but my peaks been around the same time cd14. So this is the first having another peak when on 9dpo only tested this morning as been having cramps pains and af not due for another 5/6 days not sure if I'm just symptom watching a lot more this month but so hate the ttw Sad

Fran2020 · 01/07/2020 10:48

I got my partner the well man ones to and he did start taking them but he said they didn't make him feel good. He will now have the occasional one and says that's better. 😊

1992EM · 01/07/2020 10:47

@spinksy9 Have everything crossed for you . It could just be old blood.

@DoctorBambino I think if they have too much it just comes out in their pee so shouldn't be an issue.

@nottherealslimshady They are 😂 I will win this argument with him😂

Nottherealslimshady · 01/07/2020 10:32

@Spinksy9 fingers crossed for you its just a little spotting.

@DoctorBambino @1992EM they're pains in the butt aren't they! 🤣

@Gemsy18 might aswell 😂 it's annoying it's not a perfect science but it is what it is, think I missed how many dpo you are but it might be worth trying a FRER in the morning but even those might not pick it up before AF.

DoctorBambino · 01/07/2020 10:17

@1992EM @nottherealslimshady I have had a packet of wellman sat on my husbands desk for coming up to 3 cycles now! He is worried to take them in case they have the opposite effect if he isnt deficient in anything... hmmmm

So sad to see the chemical pregnancies on here 😔 big hugs to you both. Certainly will make me think twice about testing early. Fingers crossed for July for all of us still waiting. 💛

Spinksy9 · 01/07/2020 10:16

@1992EM me too.
I stupidly booked an early scan for the 17th! Maybe I jinxed it. It's hardly any blood at all. Only if I wipe more than once. I'm obsessed so keep wiping and then there is a little streak. It's a little brownish I think. Just the fact my test today was so light compared to the previous ones makes me worry.

1992EM · 01/07/2020 09:37

@nottherealslimshady 😂😂😂 I am hoping my oh takes them. I probably didn't go about it the best way and just said I've ordered you vitamins that help conception and I take them too. As you say , even if it doesn't help it can only be good to have vitamins 😂.

Gemsy18 · 01/07/2020 09:36

@Nottherealslimshady according to my app I use my peak was 21st kept testing after and it went down, ah never heard of ovulating twice. Best dtd just incase then hubby in for a surprise when gets in from workGrin

1992EM · 01/07/2020 09:35

@flyrobinfly fingers crossed for you. I would hold off testing for a few days and hopefully if it's a positive you'll get a good line 💕

@Foodie2020 oh I haven't used any of them. Please let me know if they are good. Flo I only got yesterday so will see if it is right in it's predictions this month.

@mylittlebean2019 I just use the free one just now. Didn't want to start paying if it was rubbish. The free one looks good enough. I wanted something to track symptoms so I don't become obsessed each month.

@Spinksy9 I am really sorry, have everything crossed that it is not a chemical. Take care 💕

@Kalecat 😂love your oh description. My partner just says I'm grumpy and moan at him all the time during AF. Fingers crossed you get your BFP.

@beepbeep42 Good luck , hope you get your BFP.

@Gemsy18 It could be you have ovulated later . I would dtd just incase and then you'll have all bases covered 💕

Nottherealslimshady · 01/07/2020 09:30

@Gemsy18 DTD just in case, you could be ovulating late or even twice (read that it's a thing somewhere)

I have my first high OPK already CD8, we DTD last night and will be every day until 2 days after my peak reading 💪 bring it onnn!

I went to dig out my lingerie last night to help DH out a bit but apparently I've put on more than a little lockdown weight!🤦‍♀️

@1992EM I'm just gonna buy him some when I go go buy mine if this isn't our month, all innocent like "look what I just happened to stumble across darling, they contain vitamin D you're probably deficient in that anyway, love you" 😇

Gemsy18 · 01/07/2020 09:27

Hi Em I ovulated around 9 days ago as used ovulation tests then also and af is due monday

1992EM · 01/07/2020 09:21

@Gemsy18 I would dtd just incase you ovulate late. I have no idea about positives on ovulation for pregnancy though. When is AF due ?

Gemsy18 · 01/07/2020 09:18

Hi all I'm after a bit advice or see if anyone had anything similar, I'm currently 9dpo and been having weird cramp pains last few days which I dont get normally till day before af shows. Anyways used ovulation strip today out of curiosity and got a positive. Heard you can get a positive test when pregnant but trying not to get my Hope's up have been ttc for 14 months.

Foodie2020 · 01/07/2020 09:01

@mylittlebean2019
I've jumped for the CB connected so it will sync to the app. Less for me to do and get my head around, plus I don't want to be second-guessing whether there is a dodgy result from an IC. If it doesn't work I will swap to some less expensive ones once my head is around using OPK's but just found it all overwhelming TBH. Though the Boots own brand worked out about the cost of the CB connected as it was only £38 on amazon for stick and 25 tests (£1.52 each). Boots cheapies are a £1 each and normal work out at £1.40 without the app or ability to syn which I think make up for cost difference to start with. Though I only plan to test once a day.

Beepbeep42 · 01/07/2020 08:51

Morning, is it too late to join? Been following for a day or two.
TTC no2, on cycle 5. Already obsessed. AF due in 2 - 4 days and I didn't test to the peak OPK so I'm convinced I ovulated late as didnt get peak reading on day 14, 15 or 16 (it's always day 15, I think the cycle length is honestly just stress related) so I think I'm out again this cycle. I forgot how bloody frustrating this whole TTC thing is.

Really sorry to hear about the chemicals, they are so gutting to experience.
