I hope @littlebee1990 doesn't mind me starting a new thread as our old one was full...

Congratulations to @SK2970 who had just posted a positive test!

@Foodie2020 . I am so sorry you are feeling like this 😔💕 I can relate to the pressure. This month I have started using opks and tracking my cycle and symptoms using a app. This has made me feel like I have a bit more control over my cycle but also then find myself wishing my life away so I get to ovulation. I hope you get your BFP soon and sorry I can't offer much advice 💕 if you are worried maybe have a chat to your doctor. 💕

Foodie2020 · 09/07/2020 09:53

Hi Ladies, sorry I have been quiet. There's not much to note that has been happening in the last week.

I have to admit I'm starting to struggle with the pressure of TTC, and I think that my DP is too. It's a lot of pressure. I turn 39 soon and know this is later on in life for TTC first, especially as if things do not work out the NHS will not support IVF after 40 and it can take a year to get to that stage. I had a few people I know that have not been able to conceive as well and it's scaring me that it's just not going to happen. I've been stupid and looked into the stats of how many people conceive each month and that is intimidating me as well.

Trying to stay positive but finding it hard at the minute

1992EM · 09/07/2020 07:02

@nottherealslimshady 😂oh definitely. I was so excited to see 2 lines even though knew it wasn't positive as the second is so faint. I find myself wishing the days away so I can test again.

@1992EM thanks :) aiming for three days in a row 🤣
I've got the "up to 4 days" ones, had 8 days at high 🤷‍♀️ then got peak which lasts 48hr and you can't retest in that time.
Honestly the 2ww before ovulation is worse than the one after! I was so excited for my positive OPK anyone would have thought it was a pregnancy test.

@TravelGem I wasn't happy with flo, I'm now using fertility friend and fermometer, which are both really good. Reliability depends on how many factors you input , temp, opk, cervix , cm, symptoms, the more info the better.

1992EM · 08/07/2020 22:31

@nottherealslimshady that's great you got your peak . The CB identifies the 2 most fertile days but not 100% sure how it works as I haven't had a peak yet and first month using them. Just keep dtd anyway 😂good luck 💕

@nervousnoob sorry to hear your cycle is all over the place . Hopefully if AF arrives your cycle goes back to how it was for you. My first month ttc I had a 35 day cycle and I have always been 30 days since coming off the pill. To the point I can tell almost to the hour when AF will start. Have no idea why that one was so long but went back to normal the next cycle. Good luck in your next cycle 💕

Anyone else becoming obsessed with opks ? I can't wait to see that dark line . Starting the CB opks tomorrow. Noticed they have went back up in price on amazon .

1992EM · 08/07/2020 22:23

@TravelGem I don't use those apps but I do use flo. It is saying my fertile week starts tomorrow. I am doing opks and it is still faint so doubt I'll be ovulating tomorrow and more likely next week at some point. The app just estimates ovulation half way through your cycle. I would dtd anyway just incase but don't rely to heavily on the apps . This is the first cycle I've used flo so hopefully someone who has a bit more experience may offer more insight.

TravelGem · 08/07/2020 22:02

How accurate do you think the apps are on their own?
Clue and Ovia showed yesterday as peak however I've not been able to see my partner for two days and he'll be back after midnight today Confused

I have mild cramping and massive bloating. These are my PMS symptoms. Hopefully AF shows up soon (CD35 today). I'm fed up of this guessing game. But now that my cycle is all haywire, I should probably invest in an OPK next month. And will also start temping. Which OPK would you recommend for my first month?

Nottherealslimshady · 08/07/2020 18:11

Guess who finally got a peak reading CD15 of what is meant to be a 25ish day cycle! My app has actually adjusted my cycle length because of it, its upgraded me to 30 days. Gone through nearly 30quids worth of bleeding test strips, so its cheepies next week if we're not successful with this one. I'm worried that my CM isn't very fertile at the moment now :/

Does a peak this afternoon mean I ovulate tomorrow? So I'm in high fertility till friday?

cd24x · 08/07/2020 17:42

@nervousnoob like @Dinosaurus86 has said, it could just be a random long cycle. Things like stress can also have an effect on cycle length too. Try not to worry too much (I know it's difficult!). Just to reassure you, the NHS website suggests that cycle length between 21-40 days is considered normal.

Dinosaurus86 · 08/07/2020 13:51

@Fran2020 let us know how the acupuncture goes!

@nervousnoob it sounds like it’s probably just a random long cycle for no particular reason. I know how worrying/frustrating it is though. If it goes on much longer perhaps you could try something like agnus castus.

nervousnoob · 08/07/2020 13:45

@cd24x I was never on the pill, nor did I ever use OPKs or BBT tracking. I simply logged in my dates to track ovulation :( That's why I'm worried about this abnormal length (CD 36 today). And having read some of the posts on other forums, I doubt my GP will ask for any further investigation. Most likely will ask me to chill.

1992EM · 08/07/2020 13:25

@sle0911 Fingers crossed for you. Did you ovulated earlier in your cycle as well ?

1992EM · 08/07/2020 13:23

@Kate123cl Baby does would be appreciated 😂

@Fran2020 I hope you enjoyed the acupuncture. Perfect timing aswell for ovulation.

sle0911 · 08/07/2020 09:23

Hi ladies hope your all well! Haven't posted in a while, been in limbo for what feels like ever! Currently on CD45 (I'm normally 28-30 day cycles) but had a chemical on my last cycle so guessing that's screwed things up! Started tracking ovulation the past week and had 3 days of "peak" and today has gone down to just "high" so I'm classing myself now as 1dpo (yay 🙌🏼) really hoping il go back to normal after this, even if it's AF il be happy!

cd24x · 08/07/2020 08:56

@nervousnoob this new cycle will only be my 3rd off the pill. 1st cycle was 25 days, 2nd cycle 37 days. So I'm still waiting for my body to sort itself out really. Prior to the pill I was relatively regular 30ish day cycles. How long have you been off contraception? Have you been using OPKs or BBT to track ovulation? I'll be using them this time to help pinpoint ovulation as last cycle I went by how my body felt and could have sworn I ovulated CD12. Clearly I didn't and must have completely missed my window for getting a BFP. I drove myself crazy thinking I was late and POAS just to get BFNs every time. Our bodies can be very cruel and mess around with cycle lengths for no real reason it seems!

@Fran2020 enjoy the acupuncture!

Fran2020 · 08/07/2020 08:08

@Dinosaurus86 thank you!

CD12 today and got Peak so only a day later than the last two months! I have my first session of fertility acupuncture tonight which has worked out really well timed with ovulation! Really looking forward to giving that a go!

How is everyone today?

kate123cl · 08/07/2020 08:05

Thanks @1992EM you're all such a lovely group of ladies I thought I'd stick around and see how you're all doing. Sprinkling loads of baby dust for you all! X

Dinosaurus86 · 07/07/2020 23:38

@mylittlebean2019 oh wow, yes, I expect I may have a similar wait. I think I ovulate CD15/16 but not sure. It’s so lovely to have people on here to chat to at the same stage.

@nervousnoob it’s probably not helpful but I had a random 37 day cycle a couple of years ago (sparked a pregnancy scare at that point!). Seemingly no rhyme or reason for it and it was normal before and since (with the exception of the few months after I came off the pill).

nervousnoob · 07/07/2020 23:26

@cd24x I hope you can ease my nervousness. Is this the first time you're this late? It's frustrating, I would love clarity with AF 🥺 I've given up hope for BFP this cycle (I'm on CD 34) It's the first time it's gone so far for me.

mylittlebean2019 · 07/07/2020 23:11

@Dinosaurus86 I am CD11 today too! Last cycle I got a flashy face from CD13 and didn’t get the static face until CD19. Really hoping it comes sooner than that this month!

cd24x · 07/07/2020 23:02

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been MIA, I haven't had much to update on.

CD37 for me and finally had some spotting this evening. Fingers crossed AF will be here tomorrow and I can start cycle 2. I've got my OPKs and thermometer ready! 🤞

1992EM · 07/07/2020 21:19

Hope everyone is keeping well. I am still getting a faint line on the cheap opk. I don't expect to ovulate for another week but will start the CB on Thursday as my app says that is the start of my fertile week. Enjoying doing the opks but can't work out when is the best time . It says not to have first urine but then also says not to drink for 2 hours before doing it . I have been doing it at 2.30 pm each day so far . Only discharge I have had so far is watery. Who knows what that means 😂 .

@kate123cl glad you are keeping well . Lovely that you have stayed on here as it is nice to hear how everyone is getting on and any advice you have.
