Hi all, looking for some fellow ladies for support along our journeys. I'm 36 this year and TTC for the first time. First month just now and nervous. Any tips? I'm using clearblue 4 day ovulation tests just now and track my temp. Does anyone take certain vitamins? Thanks all and good luck 💗 xxx

@Ready2020 I'm with you 😂 Not about being all sticky and trying to DTD urgh 🙈

2alreadywantanother · 24/06/2020 21:24

Lol.its never too hot

Ready2020 · 24/06/2020 20:35

I've decided trying to make a baby in this heat is ridiculous. It's too hot for sex 😂

2alreadywantanother · 24/06/2020 20:20

@L4uz ah no way. Congrats. So exciting.
Going by apps my ov day is tomorrow but I havent had much discharge so I'm not holding out much hope. Time will tell.

L4uz · 24/06/2020 19:18

I'm 34 and this is our first baby.
After suffering an ectopic towards the end of last year, I logged my periods on an app called "Clue" which calculated my ovulation date based on my period start and finish dated. This proved to be pretty accurate as it worked first time! Smile baby due December this year!

2alreadywantanother · 24/06/2020 18:58

@MrsMacG10 yeah I've been checking. But cant gond any that state how long it lasts, 1 wipe or a few hrs.

MrsMacG10 · 24/06/2020 18:23

@2alreadywantanother I've tried to add a pic I found online. If you google cervical mucus the stages will come up. Hope that helps xx

I'm good thanks @MintGreeLife just trying to work on the healthy eating. Not convinced weve conceived in cycle 1, I think that would just be super good luck. Expecting it to take a wee while 🤞🏻

@MrsMacG10 my family is Scottish but I was brought up in England. I won't me a Mac for much longer - government finally announced today that smaller wedding ceramonies are going ahead from the 4th of July, so we will be able to do a small wedding this year 😀

I've skipped the supplements today and will reintroduce Pregnacare tomorrow. Hopefully that'll be enough of a break so that I can start taking at least that for now. How are you getting on? X

MrsMacG10 · 23/06/2020 12:42

@MintGreenLife nice to be chatting to a fellow Mac lol! 😁😁 are you scottish too then?
Sorry to hear about the supplements, they can sometimes make me feel sick if I havent eaten when I take them.
I'm sure after a few months regular tracking you'll start to get to know your cycle 💗 xxx

Morning ladies.
So it's a long time from I passed any notice on my ovulation cycle.
I know you get a discharge etc. Can anyone explain is it light running up to the day of ov getting heavier?
Yesterday I had slight discharge on 1 wipe, not much. Then the same again this morning.
According to apps, my ovulation day is thurs and I'm just paying attention now to see of I can actually tell now we are trying.

Awww, congratulations @maria1984m! Such wonderful and exciting news! 💜

MintGreenLife · 22/06/2020 22:16

@MrsMacG10 I'm only on CD6 so not much going on with me. Have decided to be really strict with tempting this cycle though, so setting an alarm for 5.30 every day to pop the thermometer in my mouth ☺️

I do seem to have overdone it with the supplements though - I have UTI symptoms but no stinging when peeing, and they got way worse for a few hours after taking my vitamin B complex at lunch time. Did some research and seems Vit B can be asidic and cause irritation/inflammation, so will have to leave it a few days and see if that gets better 🙄 Really frustrating as read it's good to take various supplements to help get your body back on track after the pill, but may skip the Vit B and C for now and stick to just Pregnacare rather than taking everything at once!

I'm a 'Mac' too by the way ☺️ X

MrsMacG10 · 22/06/2020 21:46

Absolutely amazing news @maria1984m congrats!! I can imagine you want to tell everyone. I'm sure the weeks will fly in, please keep us update.
I'm absolutely shattered tonight, ovulation symptom in sure and an early start at work 💗 hows everyone else today?xxx

Huge congratulations @maria1984m! Lovely news to read 😊 x

LSL0708 · 22/06/2020 20:36

Aw that's amazing @maria1984m! So pleased for you! I'm not surprised you want to shout it from the rooftops. Please keep us updated with how you're getting on.

@2alreadywantanother Hi! I have followed SMEP the last 2 cycles. It apparently increases your chances of conception. With SMEP you DTD every other day from 8DPO. You test for ovulation from day 10. From the day of your +OPK you DTD 3 days running, miss a day and DTD one final time. If you're not testing yet, you could just do the 3 day marathon (as I call it 😂) on the day you think you'll be ovulating. Hope this helps ☺️

MintGreenLife · 22/06/2020 20:16

@maria1984m amazing to have it confirmed in writing!! Huge congrats 💕 Keep us up to date with how you're getting on. I over did it on the supplements and have had issues with bladder irritation on and off since yesterday 🙈 Thought I was getting a UTI, but noticed it was much worse in the few hours after I took my supplements at lunch time, so going to have to leave them for now and work something else out 🤦🏻‍♀️

gypsywater · 22/06/2020 20:14

@maria1984m congratulations to you!

maria1984m · 22/06/2020 20:10

@MrsMacG10 @LSL0708 @MintGreenLife
So ladies my CB came today and I'm amazed to say it's said I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant!!! Very early but very excited!!! Want to shout from the rooftops but OH says it's too early (he's right but I'm very excited!) so glad I can share it with you!!

Called my GP and have been booked in for first appointment August 3rd which seems weeks away

Hope your all ok today xx

2alreadywantanother · 22/06/2020 12:40

I'll give it 2 cycles then check out the ovulation test strips. I'm 39, closer to 40 and cant believe we are actually doing this lol. I'm mad for another but with work and that we were nearly too busy, we were in a tiny council house and my 2 were sharing a room so we couldn't take another into that house. We bought 2 yrs ago and have loads of room. Even a lovely small room that would be a nursery lol. I'm on leave from work until sept 2021 and who knows I might not go back. Or go back on parental leave if I can. See what happens. I suffer with my back, I have a herniated disc and that was the biggest thing holding me back but I live with it, it hardly effects me. I have a high pain threshold. And esp with been off work I can take it easy if needed. So heres hoping for us all. Fingers and toes crossed.

MrsMacG10 · 22/06/2020 12:21

Welcome @2alreadywantanother I'm not 100% will how many times is best. We are going for 3 times during our fertility window. Also on our first cycle so not sure how itll work out. I'm sure the other ladies will be able to offer advice too 🤞🏻💗 xx

Welcome @ready2020 and a fellow scot ❤ sorry to hear about your hubby, I am more than sure itll happen for you both though. Have to say my sex drive has decreased over the last year or so, mainly coz I've put on a bit of weight and dont feel as confident. It's tough sometimes. Glad we all have each other as support and someone to chat to xx

MrsMacG10 · 22/06/2020 12:15

Welcome @pinkcarnation12, I think it's tough to stay positive all the time 💗 I worry cause I'm 36 this year but loads of women have babies later in life now and I'm sure itll happen for us all. All the apps and ovulation tests can be confusing, I find the clear blue one easy as it's clear and you dont need to try and guess if the lines are dark enough 🤣 xx
