Hi all, looking for some fellow ladies for support along our journeys. I'm 36 this year and TTC for the first time. First month just now and nervous. Any tips? I'm using clearblue 4 day ovulation tests just now and track my temp. Does anyone take certain vitamins? Thanks all and good luck 💗 xxx

Period is one or two days late.... this was the first cycle... scared to be too optimistic. Is it possible at 38?

Hello ladies!

Hope you don't mind me joining in, I am 32 and TTC for 6 months with my partner. I have a son who is 11 so its been a very long time!

I'm 13 DPO so holding out hope for this one but feels like AF is due and lots of BFNs the past few days. The only advice I would say is to try to relax and enjoy the process! Easier said than done and I don't practice what I preach, but I wish I had been calmer in the beginning and it might have worked by now....Stress is one of the worst things for TTC so enjoy DTD and try to focus on self care and keeping calm Smile

Sending baby dust and positive vibes to all of you!! X

MintGreenLife · 02/07/2020 17:28

@Flowersandfireworks fingers crossed your cramps are AF and that you'll be back into a normal cycle. My first AF off the pill came after a 30 day cycle, so I thought I'd got lucky and that was me back on track. Now on cycle 3 and doesn't seem like it's going to be much better as no positive OPK yet, despite making changes to my already healthy diet and taking all the recommended supplements for post pill etc. Feeling quite pessimistic eeek. Must try and shake that off. Obviously it's different for everyone though so hopefully you'll be back on track asap :)

Oh gosh I'm the same with our house - we bought it a year and a half ago and extended last year, so now that's all done I feel like we have the perfect family home. My 'office' is what will be the nursery and it's the only room I haven't styled properly as I'm hoping soon enough I'll be doing it up for an imminent arrival, fingers crossed! x

Flowersandfireworks · 02/07/2020 17:17

Hi all. I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. @MintGreenLife I came off the pill recently too (at the end of May). Having the beginnings of some cramps and some definite mood swings in the past few days so I think it's on its way! Had a positive OPK on 24th June but no temperature change so who knows! It's frustrating isn't it.

@ZonesAndBones we just bought our first house too :) Wanting to start filling up the spare rooms with babies now!

@MrsMacG10 sending lots of luck and baby dust for your test!

MrsMacG10 · 01/07/2020 21:16

I will keep you all update on test. I know I'm early but tomorrow will be my 6 days till missed period so will try. Fingers crossed for you all too xxx

Awww that's really frustrating @mintgreenlife I hope things even out for you soon. I stopped taking the pill over a year ago so not much help other than I'm sure my cycle settled fairly quickly. Fingers are crossed for you xxx

Hey all! 😊

I'm approx 1/2 DPO so now entering the TWW! We used the CB Digital OPKs this month which definitely gave me confidence we were timing things properly!

I'm going to try and hold out until AF is due before testing - unless I'm hit by nausea 😅

2alreadywantanother · 01/07/2020 19:51

@MrsMacG10 that's very early. I think I'd feel deflated if I did. I'm mad to that's why I made plans for sun night lol if I hold out until monday that will be good. I might even hold out longer. I'll try my best. Fingers crossed for u if u test tomorrow. Make sure and update us.

MintGreenLife · 01/07/2020 19:48

Is anyone else TTC after stopping the pill? This is my third cycle off the pill (2nd cycle TTC) and I was really hoping this cycle would be a little more straight forward after the last was all over the place, but it's CD15 for me now and OPKs aren't getting any darker and no EWCM yet, 15 days feels like such a long wait for things to start happening already 😔

MrsMacG10 · 01/07/2020 19:39

@2alreadywantanother I am 7 dpo, also on first cycle so not holding out much hope and have my usual monthly symptoms. I bought the early detection kits so may test tomorrow 💗 xx

OP posts:
2alreadywantanother · 01/07/2020 19:27

@MrsMacG10 hey, how many dpo are u.

Nothing to report here. 6/7 dpo as per apps. No opks done, 1st cycle so will next month.
Got ic tests for when I've the urge to poas. Made plans for sun night with a friend to have drinks so that will put me from testing b4 that. I ordered ic opk tests also for next month. I'd love nothing more than to jinx myself and not need them but I'm not expecting a bfp on 1st go.
Slight cramping the other day, slight lower back pain today but I suffer with my back so dont think it's a symptom. No cm or spotting either

MrsMacG10 · 01/07/2020 19:01

Hi ladies, how are you all and welcome to all who have joined. Sorry I've been quiet been busy at work and had a good few headaches the last few days. Usually get them the week of AF so not holding out hope this month. Also already doing a test which was negative but probs too soon. I'm so impatient 🤣🤣🤣 xx

LeopardLover · 28/06/2020 20:13

@Franklyme8 Welcome!! I too lay down for 10 minutes, even if it's just an old wives tale - we give it a go haha!

@ZonesAndBones Hello, and welcome to you too! It's my second cycle TTC but it is still really fun and exciting. We are the last of all our married friends to try! We've just bought a house so it feels like the right stage in our lives. Sending you all the positive vibes!

ZonesAndBones · 28/06/2020 19:28

Hi everyone, hope I'm not too late to join!

Im 33 and my fiance is 35 and we are about to try for our first. I am only on CD4 so we have a while to wait before ovulation tests etc.

Almost all our friends have kids so we are really the last..but we've felt no rush. We were hoping for our wedding first..but with everything going on we thought theres no harm in pushing the idea of a wedding back by another year or so.

Im actually a little scared but the same time excited to start trying for a baby. We dont expect immediate success but lets see what happens :)

Tink2019 · 28/06/2020 18:10

@MrsMacG10 I haven't read through all the posts so apologies if other posters have given you this info, but I'd definitely recommend using both OPKs and BBT if you can. It might just be me, but I find OPKs a bit unreliable (I potentially have PCOS) so that may be why - it's a right pain doing BBT first thing when you wake up, but it's the only way I know I definitely ovulated. I'm 34 by the way and on cycle 9 x

Franklyme8 · 28/06/2020 10:43

@2alreadywantanother yeah that makes sense!

@MintGreenLife we’ve said we’ll wait until the next government announcement which apparently is 1st August, and then will have to make a decision (our wedding is end of September). We’re leaning towards what you are doing and still have the ceremony and have a celebration next year. It’s so hard! But the most important thing is that we just want to be married so just trying to think of that.

Okay that’s good I’m not alone in that then 🙈 clearly I’m already overthinking things haha!!

MintGreenLife · 28/06/2020 10:15

@Franklyme8 message above x

MintGreenLife · 28/06/2020 10:15

Welcome ☺️ That was me that had a wedding planned for September. We've now officially postponed the 'wedding' until next year, but we are still going to get married in our original date this year with our immediate families. How long are you thinking of leaving it to make a decision? We only just decided all this a few days ago.

I'm 31 also and on cycle 2 of TTC baby number 1 ☺️

I stay lay down for 10-15 mins. From what I understand any swimmers that are going to get in there will do almost immediately, but it's just good practice to stay laid down for a little while afterwards. I'm prone to UTIs so I can't really leave it much longer without going for a wee 🙈 But that's the general advice anyway, 10-15 mins xx

2alreadywantanother · 28/06/2020 10:13

@franklyme8 I dont think it makes a difference. Most online research says it doesn't as that's not were the pee comes from so wouldn't have any effect

Franklyme8 · 28/06/2020 10:07

Hi ladies, first time poster, hope you don’t mind me getting in on this thread, I feel like you are all of my wave length!!

I’m 30 (nearly 31) TTC baby number 1 on cycle #1. Like someone else on this thread I’m meant to be getting married in September, unsure if we will be postponing to next year. But we’ve decided to start trying for baby now anyway! Trying to stay as chilled about it as possible at the moment, already know I won’t stay like it!

A random question, once you’ve DTD how long do you stay lying down for after? I try and keep laying down for as long as possible but I always need a wee (just generally haha) unsure if it makes an actual difference how long you keep it in for?

Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday Smile

Ready2020 · 27/06/2020 19:00

Interesting what you say about the headaches. I am usually on pregnacare vits but they up set my tummy. I tried seven seas and had a month of really sore heads. I'm back on pregnacare but think I'll take turn about on them to try even out the side effects!

MrsMacG10 · 27/06/2020 17:23

I'm good, been busy working last few days so pretty tired today and had a headache. Hoping it's not due to starting to take the seven seas vits. It's the long wait now till my period is due!
The weather definitely is a bit crazy today! Been heavy rain here too.
So glad your temps are starting to even out @mintgreenlife
Have a fab weekend everyone 💗

@MrsMacG10 I too have just got back from a very soggy walk with the dog! I'm CD11 now and seeing some changes to CM so hopefully going in right right direction ☺️ Started doing OPKs again yesterday too. Really hoping this cycle will be better than the last, my temps have settled into a pattern too and are steady, where as last cycle they were all over the place, so hoping that's a good sign 🤞🏼 How are you getting on? X

2alreadywantanother · 27/06/2020 13:08

Afternoon @MrsMacG10
Not sure where you guys are. But its lashing here. Got soaked out walking the dog.
I'm over weight and have nearly 2st off. Started walking 3/4 wks ago and doing around 35k a wk which for me is fantastic. I'm thinking if I get pregnant and keep this up it will help my back and pelvic area.
