@chloexxxx ah thank you, helpful to know!

@tizzybelle I guess there’s probably not much for them to see or do for first 12 weeks anyway? Oh my gosh that’s intense! Do you have any strong feelings? I think my first I’ll deffo do hospital but I would be open to home after that one

tizzybelle · 31/07/2020 08:35

@chloexxxx @LS2020 I’m in Berkshire and they only booked me in for my 8 week telephone appointment. Then after that bloods and scans are booked in at I guess the 12 week mark. Quite strange that no one sees you for such a long time but it’s probably safer with COVID anyways. When I called up to make my appointment they asked me if I wanted a hospital birth or a home birth. Took me back a bit as I hadn’t even thought about it lol!

chloexxxx · 31/07/2020 07:34

@LS2020 yeah am booked. I meant to say it might differ in other places in the uk Smile

@chloexxxx that sounds pretty easy, are you all booked in then? 😊

chloexxxx · 31/07/2020 06:56

@LS2020 you ring the doctor to tell them and they give you the number to arrange midwife appointment. The doctor doesn't confirm as home pregnancy tests are so accurate theses days.
When you call the midwife number they ask you last AF date and then book your first midwife when your around 8 weeks, and also book your 12 week scan. X

@tizzybelle ofc probs be on here moaning anyway about it 😂😉

They all sound super promising! How does it work when you get your BFP? Have you had to ring GP to get them to confirm?

tizzybelle · 30/07/2020 14:44

@chloexxxx sorry i was meant to say 5+4!

tizzybelle · 30/07/2020 14:40

@chloexxxx i am so nauseous and i feel that it doesn't go away unless i am constantly eating. I didn't used to eat breakfast but now I am having to eat breakfast and a few extra snacks to feel better. My boobs aren't too sore anymore, which is good, was painful to even touch at one point!!

I am 4+4 I think. I think you're at a similar stage too?

chloexxxx · 30/07/2020 14:06

@tizzybelle I was feeling abit nauseous last week. But I feel ok this. Just sore boobs and getting a little busy of back pain.
How are you getting on? Are you getting any symptoms.
How many weeks are you atm? X

@LS2020 good luck with the bloods!! Will you keep us posted with how you get on? I hate having mine done too.

I am doing ok thank you. just feeling very queasy, tired and heartburn. Not been properly sick though but just EVERYTHING stinks lol!! My boobs aren't so heavy though- not sure if that's normal!

@chloexxxx how are you feeling? any exciting symptoms for you? x

LS2020 · 29/07/2020 17:50

@Rockabye3 hope it all goes well! OH has just had his tests come back ok and just SA to do which should reopen next week. I’ve got my bloods booked in on the 10th to check I’m ovulating, so nervous as hate getting bloods taken!!

Thanks @tizzybelle, hope you’re getting on ok. Any exciting symptoms through?

tizzybelle · 29/07/2020 11:55

hey @rockabye3 indeed you need to take some time out, heal and rise again like the glorious woman you are!! Where are you in your cycle now?

And good on you for booking your appointment. Will your OH also be getting tests done too? Hoping August will be yours and @ls2020 month too!!! Will be nice to see some more BFPs :) loving all the positiveness. Hope everyone else is doing okay!!

Rockabye3 · 29/07/2020 11:39

@tizzybelle @LS2020 @chloexxxx Hi girls! Was little MIA for these days, trying to recover from the last cycle/disappointment, we need to be a real phoenix in this ttc process, right? Also scheduled an appointment with a reproduction specialist, it’s been more than a year and a half so, we need to investigate little further. Sooo happy with the bfps!!
August is definitely our month @LS2020! Star

tizzybelle · 28/07/2020 11:54

hey @Happyhappy37 glad to hear you are keeping busy!!! How are you keeping? Hope all is well and that you're keeping positive :). All good here for me, but have to admit was feeling really rough this morning but think that's more to do with being up at 5am and not being able to fall back asleep. So frustrating lol!

LS2020 · 28/07/2020 11:37

@Pickles3020 ah no, but I’m starting my FW now so will be nice to have a buddy 😊

@Happyhappy37 haha I’ve started running again to try get a bit fitter and promised myself I will do my fertility meditation and yoga each day. I always get bored by ovulation and stop 😂 I think the best me has wine and chocolate! I’m good, quite uneventful while waiting for AF to finish and new cycle to start 😊

Happyhappy37 · 28/07/2020 09:59

@LS2020 nothing too exciting. Been trying to decide what to do to better myself 😁

How are you doing?

Pickles3020 · 28/07/2020 09:06

Hi guys! Also had a busy few days! Congrats on the BFP @chloexxxx!! Exciting times!

I came on eventually so must have been an Evap line 😭 so just waiting for my fertile window again.

LS2020 · 28/07/2020 07:12

Up to anything exciting @Happyhappy37?😊

Happyhappy37 · 27/07/2020 22:08

Hi ladies. Hope all is well. Been really busy these last couple of days @chloexxxx @tizzybelle @Pickles3020 @LS2020

LS2020 · 27/07/2020 16:42

@chloexxxx it’s so hard isn’t it. Just heard of another 3 people I know today who are pregnant, ready to throw in the towel 😫
Yeah I need to get the cb ones again as I at least got a smiley face on them instead of the cheapies!!

Thank you @tizzybelle. Spotting only happened once but this cycle the end of AF has been dragging on a day or two, don’t need a pad but still wiping blood :/

Thank you both for being so kind and cheering me up ❤️ So glad you both have your bfps and I honestly understand with the scans, I’m super nosy and would want to do but understand it isn’t for everyone and just want to enjoy the peace, maybe I will too!

@tizzybelle interesting about your mum - I’m worried about how my family will react as we haven’t mentioned anything. Hopefully it was just a shock thing and she’ll come round when it’s sunk in xx

chloexxxx · 27/07/2020 16:06

@tizzybelle absolutely no judgement atall. I feel exactly the same! It's such a weird one isn't it.
When I went for private scan, she said she could see yolk sac and everything look in the right place. When really, I think I should
Of seen more in that scan. The only reason I knew I Mc is cause I was getting pain and was referred to early preg unit and I honestly thought it would be nothing! I was meant to be 9 weeks by this time and what I could see on the screen was exactly the same I seen at private scan at 7 weeks. I told this to the nurses and they said that the private scans are fine for gender reveal or if your further on but for reassurance very early on, they aren't really qualified to tell you anything. Her words were anyone can scan you.
So I don't think I want to get private scan this early cause of this experience. But I totally understand people who do.

How have u been feeling @tizzybelle?

tizzybelle · 27/07/2020 15:49

@LS2020 @chloexxxx just reading your messages. I agree that the OPK testing stuff really helped us pin point when to DTD. I always thought my ovulation was a lot later but it turns out it was earlier than I thought. We used Clear Blue ones - they're quite pricey but they worked for us.

This is really terrible to admit and please don't judge me but I am too scared to do a private scan in case anything is wrong. I keep convincing myself as long as I don't see any blood everything is fine. It's silly and naive I know Sad

tizzybelle · 27/07/2020 15:44

@LS2020 hello my lovely. Sorry to hear it's been a rough few days for you :( make sure you treat yourself to something nice. The blood test will put your mind at ease hopefully.

Also the spotting, it's only happened the once right? It may just be a strange cycle. I know lots of women spot from time to time and still get BFPs (myself included!). I know you're doing all the right things so we've just got to get you through it!! Sending you lots of virtual hugs.

I'm doing okay thank you! I told my mum about my BFP over the weekend - just so if anything goes wrong I'd have some support. She didn't react well it was very strange she seemed to force a reaction. I am thinking it may have something to do with the fact that it was a total surprise (we'd told her we wouldn't be trying for kids until we moved house but COVID through a spanner in that). She seemed more excited about organising a party... Not trying to look into it too much and let it get me down. She has been messaging me today giving me lots of advice etc. so I am putting it down to shock and that she's not great at showing her emotions. We come from a traditional background where you aren't supposed to talk about pregnancy so perhaps it was that... Families! They're weird aren't they lol.

chloexxxx · 27/07/2020 15:28

@LS2020 sometimes it just takes time. It really is the most frustrating thing! As you hear about people trying once and falling preg. But hang in there. You are young and healthy so hopefully it will happen for you both soon. And your OH can get his sperm test soon aswell!

I found opk testing pretty good and indicate when to get in as many dtd as possible! It really is about timing so keep at it. Fingerscrossed for you this month and keep us updated 😘 x
