@Welliedays welcome to the thread! Can totally relate to the whole touching your boobs and hoping there sore! First thing I do each morning during tww! 😂

@FurBabyMum02 welcome to the thread. I completely get your concerns about ttc during covid I think about a lot to. I decided that if I fall pregnant and they won't allow my fiance at scans that I would book a private scan. Someone i know did this recently so her husband could see baby for the first time. Some private clinics allow them in and I don't think it was too expensive.

FurBabyMum02 · 10/08/2020 17:25

Hi ladies! Hope u don't mind me jumping in with something that's a little of topic for what u have going on here but related to TTC.

Does anyone have concerns about TTC during covid?

My main ones are restrictions on partners being at scans (particularly following MC, will be hard going alone in case there is bad news again), trying not to become a hermit while TTC/ pregnant but still being cautious about getting covid, and grandparents visiting once baby is here and potentially not being able to hold little one.

Wishing everyone luck aswell, sounds like you are all working really hard on making your dream come true, hoping to join u soon but need to try and stop this niggling doubt about covid.

Welliedays · 10/08/2020 14:33

Hi girls, please can I join your chat, I've actually been following your previous threads but haven't been able to register... It turns out I'd been autoblocked for some reason, but now we're all good! Just as a bit of background about me, we thought we'd start trying last month as we had our wedding day and we're having our reception next year, so would love for a little one to appear in between (I know that's a big ask!!). Anyway, I thought we'd done it last month and the first of trying, I got a really faint BFP the day my period was due... And then had a bad bleed and a negative after, so it must have been a chemical Hmm (this happened a week before the wedding). But we've got back on board and have tried again this month. I'm not tracking as don't want to appear too obsessed yet as my husband will totally think he's married a crazy person 😂 but I'm on my tww now and I'm already hating it! Does anyone else find themselves touching their boobs willing them to be sore?! My boobs were so sore last month which is what gave it away for me and prompted me to test!

Daffodil21 · 10/08/2020 12:29

@acaciabluebell I don't think CB are a sensitive but I personally trust them more. I got my first squinter on an internet cheapie, and then confirmed with a CB digital, but no idea how many dpo I was as I wasn't tracking that month. It was definitely after AF would have arrived though as I did the internet cheapie when I got home from work as I couldn't stop peeing all afternoon, and then did the CB after dinner. That was a year ago next week 😭

I know it's hard but I would try and do as you say, and wait until after your longest cycle. You'll just be stressing about the uncertainty if not. I've banned myself from any early testing as I just can't be doing with it anymore!

Yeah I've been testing twice a day since the flashing but no luck. I'm not too worried about the cost tbh, I've spent so much money in the last couple of years that I just don't care anymore. Plus I got this box of 20 when they were on sale on amazon at £16 (so let's hope they're not fakes!). I'm not using them to time dtd, just to time a blood test and to know how long my cycle will be. Was hoping it would be under 36 days this month but doesn't look like it 😒

OP posts:
acaciabluebell · 10/08/2020 12:10

@Daffodil21 Hmm maybe I should get some CB tests then? I just feel a bit disheartened cos I feel like if there's anything there it should be showing up on a FRER by now.

I'm sure AF will show up soon . It's weird though, because it doesn't feel like it's coming yet. I felt strong AF like cramping 2 days ago, but yesterday + today I've not felt anything except a very mild lower back ache. Been a bit emotional the past few days though and feeling tired etc.

Planning to wait until 14dpo (CD31) before testing again. I'm on CD29 today. I've only ever had 1 cycle longer 31 days in the past 5 years, it's usually 23-30 days.

Sorry to hear that you're still having flashing smiley! Are you testing twice a day? Must be frustrating, I know the CB strips are expensive!

Daffodil21 · 10/08/2020 11:31

@acaciabluebell you're not until AF. I've seen lots of posts about FRERs being dodgy lately, including giving false positives. So if you do get a positive maybe get a different brand to double check too!

Not sure on your implantation question btw but glad to see TTC isn't having a negative affect on your sex life!

Day 5 of flashing smiley for me now 😒

OP posts:
acaciabluebell · 10/08/2020 10:46

BFN on FRER, 11/12dpo. Think I'm out this month 😔

acaciabluebell · 09/08/2020 11:30

@Daffodil21 Hope you get your static smiley 💪🏽

No AF yet thank god because that would mean a really short luteal phase! I think I'm 11dpo today. Last month AF came on 12/13dpo. Kind of regretting not doing OPKs this month because I honestly don't know what dpo I really am. Imagine I'm actually only 2dpo 😂. Or (and this is a real possibility) I may not have even ovulated at all! Anyway, I am still getting pre-AF backaches, cramping and sore boobs. Also have had this annoying mild cold/flu like feeling the past few days. And totally dry in terms of CM, so I dunno.

Bit of a TMI question... anyone know if having erm, frequent vigorous sex (😂) is bad for implantation? DH and I have dtd for like 6 days in a row loool (just for fun). Is it better to reduce frequency of dtd during the TWW?

Daffodil21 · 09/08/2020 09:57

@acaciabluebell yeah it's hard to know what we should and shouldn't be taking! I ordered them from Nature's Best and there's a section in the leaflet that came with it about fertility. The list is endless for important vitamins! I did work out a meal plan so I can get most vitamins from food. I definitely don't plan on taking anything else - I had to make a note on my phone so I remember to take which ones when! Oh actually next month I'm good to try Agnes cactus up until ovulation just because I've read lots about it, and I already bought it before my Nature's Best order.

Has AF showed yet...?

I got another flashing smiley so on day 4 of those now, and I've been testing every afternoon since the flashing too. I've got another reflexology appointment in an hour so who know, maybe that will help stimulate a static 🤷‍♀️

I also found the chromosome thing helpful, it's actually taken the pressure off a little because now I understand why sometimes it just doesn't work

OP posts:
acaciabluebell · 08/08/2020 15:33

Got AF like cramps. Urghhhhhh flipping great

acaciabluebell · 08/08/2020 14:45

@Daffodil21 Thats really reassuring actually, what you wrote about the egg quality. I've heard good things about CoQ10 as well, but gosh, I already take high strength vitamin D, vit C, magnesium, zinc and folic acid! I recently started taking a multivitamin too because I was worried I was missing out on iron, vitamin Bs etc. Now I wonder if I might be taking too much vitamins.... The multivitamin has very small amounts of each vitamin. I looked online and apparently excess vitamins are released into urine so I thought it might be okay 🤔

Daffodil21 · 08/08/2020 13:31

One thing I've learnt only recently (from reading it starts with the egg) is that when we release an egg it has to reject chromosomes it already has, if it doesn't reject and ends up with duplicates, then that egg stands very little chance of being fertilised, and if it is fertilised it probably won't be successful. Therefore it doesn't matter how well we time everything, if the egg isn't good enough then we're not going to get pregnant. Although frustrating, I found that useful to take the pressure off this month. If/when AF arrives I will think more of it as 'well the egg wasn't good enough' rather than 'oh ffs, we must have somehow missed the timing'.

@Dogscanlookup I will be taking COQ10, a much higher dosage of vitamin D than I was already on, and N-Acetyl. I'm also going to be taking methylfolate, which is folic acid in its natural form, as some people can't process folic acid well enough to benefit from it. Day 3 of flashing smiley for me, so I'm not going to get too concerned just yet. Can't shed any light on the EWCM I'm afraid.

So sorry about your bfn @acaciabluebell Daffodil

Dogscanlookup · 08/08/2020 12:48

@Daffodil21 how many days flashing smileys have you had? And don’t worry about how much money as it’s all money worth spent as this is important to you 😊 what supplements are these? WFH is definitely the one, as you said enjoy it while you can, it’s makes things a little easier with regard to TTC!

@acaciabluebell I’m so sorry to hear about your BFN 🙁 maybe test again tomorrow and see?

Also, I had my first static smiley on Weds so DTD weds and thurs (and had done Tues eve too), yesterday we didn’t. Today I woke up to what look like EWCM?? I’m so confused, I haven’t hadn’t anything like it since coming off the pill two and a bit months ago. Could this suggest I ovulated later than OPK suggested? DTD as soon as I saw to cover all bases but we’re a bit baffled...

acaciabluebell · 08/08/2020 12:14

Think I can feel some cramps and got a BFN on an IC this morning. Sighhh. I shouldn't have tested, its already ruined my day

Daffodil21 · 08/08/2020 09:04

@Dogscanlookup glad the office is keeping your mind occupied! I'm still wfh and no idea when I'll be going back. I should just enjoy while I can though! I reeeally hoped I would get pregnant during lockdown so I could spend the early days at home, but no such luck.

I'm going to try not to test early too - the amount of threads I see on here that just lead to anxiety is enough to put me off (easier said than done!). But we've got the in laws visiting towards the of the tww, when I could test, so that will put me off!

Still on a flashy smiley for me. Got another reflexology appointment tomorrow morning though. Ohh and all my supplements arrived this morning. Trying a plan from the book I was telling you about which is specifically for people with recurrent MC. I dread to think how much £££ I've spent in the last 2 years over this!!

@acaciabluebell fingers crossed for you!

OP posts:
acaciabluebell · 07/08/2020 23:22

I've ordered some FRERs which will arrive on Sunday. So nervous! I have very little hope. Last month I had so many symptoms and AF arrived early. This month I have no symptoms. It's weird. I also really doubt that I ovulated this month.

Dogscanlookup · 07/08/2020 22:59

Ah looks like some good news this month for some of you!! Fingers crossed girls!
I wish I could work from bed still, I have to actually brush my hair and put a bra on now 🤦🏼‍♀️ But yet, @Daffodil21 the TWW begins 😭 hopefully the office will keep me busy enough, I won’t test until 18th! I think I’m due 17th. I refuse. Going to be sooo hard though!

acaciabluebell · 07/08/2020 10:25

I love that pic @SVC11 I'm also working from bed! 😂

I think around 8/9DPO today, if I even ovulated at all. Don't have any sensitive tests which is helping me avoid testing. I'm not very hopeful....don't have any symptoms except the sides of my boobs hurt.

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2020 08:31

@SVC11 haha I did notice that 😂 why not, you should be taking it easy!!

OP posts:
SVC11 · 07/08/2020 08:25

Totes forgot everyone see me working from bed too ha!

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2020 08:22

@SVC11 ahh that's soo exciting!!!!!! I'll hold my congrats until your digital but so so pleased for you!!

OP posts:
SVC11 · 07/08/2020 08:13

Getting darker @Daffodil21 I said I would wait until Saturday but failed... 11 dpo... Some slight cramping in my belly and sensitive nipples. Think il do a digital in a few days time and then start getting excited...when I'm like 15/16dpo. Its a bit hard when so many things can go wrong this early!

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2020 07:49

@Dogscanlookup I think the latest you could possibly have ovulated would be this morning? So you'd either be 0DPO or 1DPO I think. Oh the dreaded TWW for you!

OP posts:
Dogscanlookup · 07/08/2020 07:42

@Daffodil21 so today would be 1DPO as I guess you do it’s from the latest you could have possibly ovulated?

Daffodil21 · 07/08/2020 06:47

@Tofu35 was is prolactin that was high by any chance? So I've now had all the tests, and I've been referred to a fertility clinic so I'm assuming I'm receiving the same care and checks as someone who's paying at that clinic, except I can't fast track any treatment and have to wait. I would say it's probably not worth going private if you've had all the blood tests, but it might be worth paying for an internal scan, which is the next thing they would have sent you for if any of your bloods were concerning. (My bloods were clear but I had it as part of the recurrent MC checks). They can check for number of follicles and egg reserve, shape of the womb etc, and see if you have PCOS. Other than that I don't think there are any other tests available. I've got to have my progesterone re-done this month and after that nothing, we just wait (and dtd!)

@Dogscanlookup yeah I'm already planning an afternoon test again 😳
You ovulate 12-48 hours after the static smiley
