@SVC11 If you only stopped the pill 4 weeks ago then I definitely wouldn't worry about it yet. Its probably just your hormones trying to sort themselves out, like you said. I'm no expert but I would expect it to take a few months for everything to regulate.

Ahhh af turned up v v early for me. Only 9 days after my lh surge but exactly 4 weeks after stopping the pill. Are my hormones still sorting themselves out or does this mean I have a short luteal phase? Any ideas welcome xx

Feeling a bit more chill this evening after coming across some texts from when I found out I was pregnant last year and in them I said I had no symptoms and I only tested because I was late ... makes me a bit hopeful again as I was worrying as have no symptoms currently. Will be testing Sunday at 13dpo

@acaciabluebell I forgot to ask.. what time are you testing? I would recommend early -mid afternoon and try and do it around the same time each day where possible! LH builds up throughout the day.

@Summertime1992 were you on any form of contraception before you started TTC?

@Hopeful1712 welcome to the thread and the TTC journey! I was on the pill so can’t say about the injection for sure but my sister in law was told anywhere between 3-18 months is the usual for any form of Hormonal contraception to leave the body is normal.

@acaciabluebell yes sweet, they should be getting darker in the build up to ovulation and then they will get lighter again. I test throughout my entire cycle as I don’t know where I am with it at the moment especially not having AF arrive for two months. What brand are you using? You may need to leave the test a little longer before reading it if they aren’t getting dark xx

@summertime1992 thank you, i’ve read that too, but a very unhelpful friend made a comment about it and I just can’t shake it off!
Do you know how long the depo takes to get out of systems? I’ve read some really conflicting stuff. I’m trying to just be quite laid back about it, but them can’t stop myself researching different things!

@Hopeful1712 Hi just to put your mind at ease I also have a tilted cervix, it does not have any effect on fertility from my research. I am currently pregnant after one month TTC so definitely did not effect me. Hopefully it will be nice and quick for you, just bare in mind depo provera injections can stay in your system for a while with them being deep IM injections.

Update from me; I have decided pregnancy so far does not like me, as I have had a UTI/ possible thrush (currently on abx) and I now have really bad piles from increased blood flow and constipation, but very grateful at the same time (not for the piles though they can definitely do one!).

I'm surprised @Dreaming101 all those lines look super dark to me! Is that how it should be? The few times I used an OPK (roughly 5-6 days before my expected ovulation date) the line was so faint I could barely see it. Haven't used it properly yet though

I was hoping I could join this thread, i’ve spent a bit of time reading through it all and you all seem really supportive. Congratulations to those of you that have had BFPs recently.

So i’m 31 and my OH (other half) is 39. I was on the depo injection for 8 years and recently changed to the pill in February this year - was starting to have issues with it. Recently been seen by a specialist and have found I have a tilted cervix - has anybody else had experience of this? Dr says it should be a problem but at the back of my mind I can’t help but worry.
Came off pill at the weekend (13 June), and have started taking Seven Seas Trying to Conceive. Currently on my withdrawal bleed, so hoping my cycle should come back after that and can get trying properly.
Just really looking for advice of what I should / should not be doing. I didn't realise there was so much to it before reading these posts!

@saravb yeh the line needs to be darker or the same as the control line (the one on the right) xx

@Dreaming101 or anyone else using the cheaper opks with the line, do you mind posting a pic of the opk where you think you reached your peak? Just to have an idea of what to look out for. The instructions say that it should be darker than the test line but I'm wondering if that actually happens?

I've been a bit quiet since AF arrived. Was so disappointed after chemical last month that I needed to take a step back. Was considering using ovulation tests this month but have decided I don't want to now. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself. Trying to take it easy this month and not think about it so much.

@Daffodil21 Oo I didn’t know you can wee directly onto the clear blue ones.. the ones I’m using now you can wee directly on.

I use these ones (Easy@home) to monitor the levels and then when I see they’re rising use a pink clear blue xx

@LennyAndToots DH and I watched a documentary about conception / pregnancy last night and it mentioned that maternal stress and anxeity can result in things like low birth rate :S. I'm not super stressed but definitely have a low-level background worry because of everything going on... and ironically, am now also worrying about being too stressed...

Thanks so much @Daffodil21and @Dreaming101! I already have the cheaper strips which I bought off Amazon. I think it'll take some time getting used to figuring out the lines etc. I'll get the CB ones if I can't figure these ones out.

@Daffodil21 that’s good that they are on the ball and wanting to re do all the tests!

@acaciabluebell the ones with the smiley face are Clearblue so quite costly. A lot of us are using the cheaper ones that show the two lines and you watch and wait for the one line to get darker. It helps to log these via a photo on an app. I use the Premom app as it charts the results for you. This is mine today so I can see the increase.. probably my peak.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the TTC journey as well. I have a question about digital OPKs, more specifically the one that shows a smiley face - which OPK is it? And how does it work? I assume it's expensive, so do you have to keep buying new OPKs? Is it like the digital pregnancy test? Is it worth it basically is what I'm asking!

@LennyAndToots it’s a weird one I keep hoping the tests are wrong even though I know that they aren’t. I’ve done about 10 in the last 8 weeks..

Just did today’s OPK and my LH level has shot up... it was gradually going up but today a jump from 0.6 to 1.2 🙏🏼
