@Daffodil21 you're not alone, I am a stepmother to my husbands two incredible boys (13&10) and Daddy got the full works yesterday. Felt a bit crappy inside because if our pregnancy has lasted then we would have a 4 week old baby by now. Then I push the idea out of my head and think maybe there's a reason it didn't work and also having a baby in the middle of this pandemic would be so stressful. I'm happy for it to happen after this has passed now.

Dreaming101 · 21/06/2020 23:15

@acaciabluebell that’s okay, it’s so easy for our minds to run away with things xx

acaciabluebell · 21/06/2020 23:08

Thanks so much @Dreaming101 for sending that screenshot, I thought mine were abnormal and started overthinking

Dreaming101 · 21/06/2020 22:34

@acaciabluebell it may just be that you are ovulating later than you originally thought. Try not to panic. I ovulated around day 21 last cycle! Thought I’d share a photo of when I first started testing so you can see how light my tests were. How long are you leaving the test before reading it? You can leave them up to 7 minutes I think.

Congratulations to al who have had the BFP’s!! That’s an amazing Father’s Day present for your partners. Keep us posted on how you guys get on!

I’ve found today really hard being Father’s Day and being around family who all have little ones. My hubby and I are the only ones out of his siblings who don’t have children yet. I love being an aunty but really can’t wait for the day I can say we are expecting our own😞

@Daffodil21 @Gbaby001 I am 34 will be 35 in 2 months took me a year to be seen by obgyn. Been referred to a fertility specialist all new tests again. But COVID has put that back now so have to wait longer better to start sooner rather than later.

Daffodil21 · 21/06/2020 21:08

@Gbaby001 you won't get to speak to a specialist unless they pick something up in the your blood tests or your partner's sperm analysis, so fingers crossed you never have to speak to one!

@Daffodil21, 😂😂😂😂 its perfectly alright, we do lie sometimes to help ourselves out. I'm in my early thirties though, not up to 35. But I really don't want to wait for long before consulting the specialists.

Daffodil21 · 21/06/2020 19:21

@Gbaby001 I know it's frustrating but 5 months is totally normal. If you're over 35 I think the doc will see you after 6 months of TTC, but if you're under 35 it's 12 months. I didn't wait the 12 though, I went at after about 8 months and told them it had been 12 🙈 I just really felt like something was wrong (I have slightly longer and varying cycles).

If you don't want to wait that long for checks you could go private - I think it's something like £300 (I may be wrong). Or you could just lie like I did... maybe that's why I'm struggling - karma 🙈🙈

@Daffodil21. Thanks a lot. Been trying to conceive for I'd say 5 months officially after the MC. Married for 5 years and came off pill last year June. I just ordered Zinc and seven seas via Amazon. Heard some good reviews about both.

acaciabluebell · 21/06/2020 16:19

Hi ladies. I'm feeling a bit depressed today because I'm on CD10, 3-4 days before my suspected ovulation date and my OPK test line is barely there. I downloaded the premom app and uploaded my pictures and all of them got a "this test shows a score of 0, which may indicate a faulty test' 😐but nope, they work fine, there's just a control line and barely there test line.

I suppose I should be happy because 3 days ago, there was literally no test line, and today (CD10) there's a very very very faint test line. So something is changing I guess? But I just feel that it should be darker, or else how on earth will it become darker than the test line by CD14? I tested in the afternoon, I hadn't drunk much water, and I waited the full 5mins, etc etc.

I suppose my hope now is that I'll ovulate late or something. I have ovulated late before (like CD28!) but extremely rarely. Usually I ovulate CD10-15. Sighh. Sorry for the rant lol

Daffodil21 · 21/06/2020 14:09

@Gbaby001 just to add. I've been referred to a fertility clinic (fat lot of of good h thy at did, but that's another story!) and the only supplements they recommend is folic acid and vitamins D3

Hi @Gbaby001 , welcome. How long have you been TTC for?

Most ladies here are quite early in TTC, but there are some of us who have been TTC for a while (myself included). There are also a few of us who have had a MC before too (again, myself included) so you are in good company (and sorry to read this).

I personally only take vitamin D and folic acid, but I have recently adapted my diet to make sure I'm getting enough of the right nutrients without taking a pre conception vitamin. I took pregnecare for about a year, then I read that it can delay ovulation and give you longer cycles. I stopped taking it and AF did actually show 5 days early (not sure if it would have had any affect that quickly though). I also put Maca in my smoothies (it's a bit grim though!) as I've read very good things about it, and I try to eat a couple of Brazil nuts every day because they are very high in selenium. The diet changes are recent though, until a month or so ago I just ate what I wanted and took a pre-conception vitamin, but nothing was happening so I thought it was worth a go (could also do with shedding some lockdown lbs too!!)

Congrats @Rocky89

Gbaby001 · 21/06/2020 13:06

Hello lovelies,
TTC here. Had a MC in January. AF returned with cycle of 31-32. I use clear blue advanced OPK and I do ovulate around 17-19 as my cycles are regular from March till date. But for some unknown reasons I haven't gotten the BFP and its beginning to be a concern to me. I ensure I and DH DTD every other day so I dont see why I cant take in. I have been on folic acid 800mg for 6 months now and DH takes vitamin C 1gm as well.

What could be wrong ? And I am also considering adding ZINC,VITAMIN D and EPO (Evening primrose oil) and MORILITY BOOST capsules for DH. AF started yesterday (a day ealier) Any suggestions please.....
Sorry for long text

hampshirerose34 · 21/06/2020 12:31

I gave in today and took a test negative. !! I don't get it on Friday I had cramps that could raise the dead. Nips are soar still. Nauseous still cramps a little bit of white CM so I decided to do a OPK faint line 10 DPO has anyone had that before ?

Rocky89 · 21/06/2020 11:47

Thanks everyone!!

@Daffodil21 yeah I thought I was out because of that, seems that maybe your body produces it but I'd much further "up" so you can't see it? I have no idea!

hampshirerose34 · 21/06/2020 10:18

@Rocky89 congratulations!! This is brilliant x

SVC11 · 21/06/2020 09:31

Awww congrats @Rocky89 so amazing! Best fathers day pressie ever! Eeep!! X

Daffodil21 · 21/06/2020 09:24

@Rocky89 ah I'm glad you said that about being 'dry' - I've been worrying about that since you said you thought you were out because of that (I've had that problem the last few months). I didn't realise until I just scrolled down that it was you who said it though!

Have you told DH??

Rocky89 · 21/06/2020 09:20

Also thank you @Peach1204 and @Daffodil21!!!

Rocky89 · 21/06/2020 09:19

For anyone that needs to know - I had no symptoms whatsoever until my loose bowel movements on 2 days and nausea/insomnia lastnight. I was basically dry (sorry tmi) during fertile window, so I had made up my mind it wasn't going to happen this month, to the point where I had a 3 ciders yesterday (oops) and goats cheese (lol) because I was sure of it. So this is to anyone that needs to hear it, if you don't have symptoms it doesn't mean you're out!! Xxx

Daffodil21 · 21/06/2020 09:00

@Rocky89 congratulations!!!!! I'm so so happy for you!!!
