Ladies

I just want to share some stories I found online on late BFPs ;)

If you were only using OPKs and not temping to confirm OV, OVday is 2 days after your first +. you can also OV up to 5 days past a + OPK or not at all. Implantation occurs from 6 to 12dpo but can be even 5-14 dpo and then you need still 2-5 days for hcg to rise. So Implanation can happen quite late and then indeed your bfp would be late.so I think this is positive information. I was thinking well if 12dpo is negative I'm out. But reading that I will just wait for AF and test if I'm late especially that my cycle including MC might be just weird.

@busby85 I'm sorry to hear your story !! Don't feel bad about feeling certain way. I definitely have got some time feeling sour about new pregnancy announcements in my surrounding while I have just gone through two MCs. I had one Mc in March at around 9 weeks and Mc in May around 5 weeks. I'm ttc #1. You are not alone ! I also have seen news on US celebrity yesterday, they have got 5 kids but also went through 5 miscarriages over 9 years. I'm sorry for them but I'm also glad they are spreading awareness ! Because many couples do no share and we don't know it is so common. And I'm also glad to be part of this group of amazing women who support each other in this difficult time but also good time, when we see success stories. We are here together and can support each other❤️

chloedancer897 · 22/06/2020 14:47

@VP91x I feel a bit better today. I'm just planning the next cycle but not going to symptom spot or test early. I'm trying not to stress myself too much.

VP91x · 22/06/2020 14:39

@chloedancer897 I think so, maybe. He actually initiated having sex soon after he got in from work where normally its me that does. So I found it odd when he just went off like that. I suppose they do notice more than we give them credit for. Hopefully it works this month 🤞 how are you feeling xx

@busby85 like the other ladies said, please don't apologise and I'm so incredibly sorry that you have had another miscarriage. My heart breaks for you. It is so hard when your friends just don't understand. None of mine are trying or have ever had a MC and they just would never get it. It's definitely not spoken about enough either. It's lovely that you have got so many nice flowers but must be upsetting too. Im glad you have your trip to look forward at least it will give you some proper time away with your OH. Sending you lots of hugs xx

Thanks @busby85 Smile it is so strange! To say it’s such a common thing as well I don’t actually know anybody personally who has been through it so it’s nice to have somewhere like this to talk to other women who are going through the same thing xxx

busby85 · 22/06/2020 14:11

@Northernsoul90 i am sorry for your recent loss also. It really is so tough! 1 reason I love this group is everyone understands, 1 thing I have noticed is that noone talks about mc its like a complete taboo subject that makes people automatically uncomfortable. I find it so strange. Fingers crossed your cycle gets back to normal asap so you can get straight back to it xx

busby85 · 22/06/2020 14:09

@Northernsoul90 @MichT4 @chloedancer897 thank you for your kind words. Xx

Northernsoul90 · 22/06/2020 13:55

@busby85 Hello, I am so sorry for your mc and please don’t apologise! My mc was also recent - 2 weeks ago I had mva procedure and I am ashamed to admit I cried this morning when a colleague posted she had given birth yesterday and I just felt awful. I wasn’t sad that she had her baby it was just another reminder for me, you then feel guilty though it’s so hard. I can also totally relate to the milestone thing... I feel like if I’m not pregnant by the time my sister has her baby in September I will be a wreck. It’s added pressure all the time. Try and keep positive and when you feel ready focusing on AF and new cycles has helped me. It’s also lovely that you have something booked to look forward to I might do something similar and have a weekend away! I’m currently waiting to get my negative test and just wanting my cycle back at the minute so I can ttc again. I’ve found it really helpful being on this forum and the ladies are all so lovely and supportive. Fingers crossed for you that all goes well with your scan xxxx

MichT4 · 22/06/2020 13:43

@busby85 no more apologising allowed.
How lovely having something booked, I think it’ll do you both a world of good.
It’s hard with milestones, I’m the same with my due date. Have it in mind, but don’t put pressure on yourself. I’m sure it’ll happen quicker and you’ll be PG again before those dates. I have my fingers crossed for you xx

busby85 · 22/06/2020 13:21

@MichT4 thank youfor responding so quickly. I am getting lots of love, my house looks like a florists currently which is lovely albeit a current reminder. My work have also been amazing. I dont think i was prepared for such an emotional journey. Hubbie and I have booked a weekend away at the end of July so hopeful aunt flora will have been by then and we can look at starting again. I feel like i need to be pregnant before I reach the milestones of what would be potential due dates or else it will just be harder somehow. However that is now even more pressure. Sorry for the total negative post xx

chloedancer897 · 22/06/2020 13:21

@2020wish you aren't out until AF arrives. Would you not wait until then and not say anything to your daughter yet?

chloedancer897 · 22/06/2020 13:20

@VP91x I was wondering if his reaction was just to stress or pressure. They do notice things even when we think they don't. I think this journey is so difficult. It happens to us, we feel like we are doing everything and all they have to do is DTD but it obviously takes a toll on them too.

@busby85 I'm so sorry you've found yourself here again. I hope you're ok xo

MichT4 · 22/06/2020 13:12

@busby85 oh no, I am so sorry to hear this news, sending lots of love and virtual hugs.
Please don’t apologise for brain dumping, that’s what we are here for.
I think we’ve all had that bitterness before - I definitely have - and it’s totally normal and expected.
I hope you are being well looked after. Try and relax, rest, cry as much as you need. Hopefully the scan will come round quickly and you’ll at least know all is ok xx

busby85 · 22/06/2020 13:01

Hey ladies in my phone. Its been a while since I was here. Had a positive test back in May and lost the baby last week at week 10. This is mc number 2 for me now and struggling more this time round. I have another scan next week to ensure everything is OK and am so on edge currently. It really is such an emotional journey and I am worrying that I am starting to feel bitter at how easy some people have it. None of my closest friends have ever had a mc and so I am now worrying I will be that friend who cant have a baby. Urgh! Sorry for the brain dump x

MichT4 · 22/06/2020 12:39

Oh my god @VP91x you are going to have so much joy in the next hour or so 😂
Yeah I think it does. My OH has been so good this month, I have to say, but sometimes after DTD I’ll say something about it leaking out or whatever (standard 😂) and then I realise how negative that must be for him when we have just had sex. I think they are sensitive to things like that when they realise how important it is for them to do their bit.

Anyway, enough talk about boys, go shopping and enjoy!!

VP91x · 22/06/2020 12:32

@MichT4 yeah, I do think it does affect them differently doesn't it? You dont realise it becomes an underlying stress. No queue at all!! Feel like I've won the shop lottery 😂

MichT4 · 22/06/2020 12:24

@mrsssk thank you. I’m hoping a few days off this week might make the time go quicker and I’ll be more distracted when I’m not in my office working (at home). Last month I was convinced I was because I felt sick and my boobs hurt, but I took a test which was bfp and AF arrived later that day. Was unnecessary heartache getting so certain, so I’m going to try my hardest not to overthink anything in this TWW. Hard to do though!

@VP91x firstly I am so jealous you are going to ikea. I really want to go but have terrible expectations of it being like hell. Let me know what it’s like (even though I don’t go to your one, but still).
That’s so good that you spoke to him, and it’s understandable he feels that way, it must be really hard for the boys to see us doing what we do and then feeling like it’s their job to do the next bit. It does become like a pressure pot, which is why I think it’s good you’ve spoken about it.
You’ve both worked hard at this journey this month, and I’m sure you’ve covered all bases 🤞🏼 xx

VP91x · 22/06/2020 12:17

@mrsssk I reckon it could possibly be IB because of the colour and inconsistency especially as its not developing and mostly when you check CP, but yeah so difficult to read into anything on the TWW isnt it?

I'm the same as you both times I have just tested because I thought I was about a day or so late to rule it out 😂 I miss that person!

@MichT4 had a little chat with my partner whilst we are on our way to IKEA (queue dependant as little miss will freak if she's waiting ages) and he said that he has found it hard this month to see me always testing and being disappointed even when I'm not showing it etc and it's alot of pressure when it's something we both want. So, I'll try and not be too annoyed at him today even though I am still upset xx

OP posts:
mrsssk · 22/06/2020 12:11

@MichT4 the TWW really is the pits!!
The first time I got pregnant I was so blissfully unaware of everything, missed my period took a test and got 2 pink lines. What I'd give to go back to those carefree days eh?! 😅
I hope the next few days go by quickly for you too x

@VP91x it's not been consistent, on and off from yesterday morning but was more noticeable when I checked my cervix position in the mornings. It's not a huge amount either, noticeable when I wipe as very light pink and a couple of small drops on a panty liner throughout the course of the day yesterday. Could well be IB but I'm really trying not to get my hopes up!
Hope you're feeling better today too x

VP91x · 22/06/2020 12:03

@mrsssk has it been consistent like everytime you wipe? Is it alot?

@DontStandSoClose I agree that you should try not to worry about not feeling much yet plus what you might of felt a few days ago could be the progesterone rising and making things more heightened. Your line has gotten darker so all positive signs. ❤️❤️

OP posts:
MichT4 · 22/06/2020 11:51

@mrssk this could be IB?

I know it's really hard. I'm 3DPO and already thinking I feel various things - crazy! It's definitely all heightened because of MC, as I woulnd't have thought a thing beforehand.
I wouldn't test yet, because if it is IB, it will still be a few days before you have enough HCG, but just don't lose hope yet.

It's good you have something to distract your mind. Thursday will come round quick enough (or sooner should you decide you want to).

mrsssk · 22/06/2020 11:47

@MichT4 According to femometer and Glow apps, I'm due on Thursday which will give me 28 day cycle which I had pre MC, so this spotting feels quite early on! It started yesterday morning, so on CD 25.
I could do a test now I suppose but I'm not sure I am ready to see a BFN. If it's AF, it will just start and I guess I will just deal with it and process it when it happens. Everything just feels so much harder post MC which I'm sure many of you will agree with, I just feel hyper aware of every twinge, possible symptom etc and it feels exhausting!

On the plus side, I am back at work after my sick leave so that is at least occupying my mind most of the time

MichT4 · 22/06/2020 11:31

@mrsssk when is AF due? Don't feel silly, it can happen and still might have. You're definitely not out yet

MichT4 · 22/06/2020 11:27

@Dontstandsoclose please try not to worry. It is early for too many symptoms, and some people don't have them anyway - including you, as you said with previous experience.
I think the cervix is a really difficult one to use for any definitive answers, as is any of it really, except of course for the tests which you have your darker lines on (yay!)
All the signs are pointing in the right direction, so keep positive xx

mrsssk · 22/06/2020 11:25

@DontStandSoClose you are still really early to be feeling symptoms and it is probably just nerves, I hope you can do something relaxing over the next couple of days to take your mind off things and not think about retesting again until you do it with a digital?

I'm feeling a bit deflated, I still have some bloodstreaked CM, which looks a bit more like light pink spotting now. I'm convinced it's AF making an appearance early, though I never have had spotting before it's due pre MC. Not sure why but I think I managed to subconsciously convince myself I'd manage to catch the first cycle after MC. Feel so silly even entertaining the thought now!
