Thank you @SmileyT. This is going to be the longest week of my life!

SmileyT · 19/06/2020 09:40

@Hayleylou89 glad you are doing well even though you are still nauseous 😕 did they tell you that COVID could've caused issues with the pregnancy? I didn't realise there was any risks to pregnancy with contracting it😩 you're not shielding are you? Xx

@VP91x id be suprised if you peaked overnight as think it's supposed to be released early morning for the surge. As you've had peaks every other month I'd just wait until you see one again might just be a couple days later this month 😡 before my peak my tests don't gradually increase I'll randomly get low in the highs so I wouldn't worry xx

@Eli2020 it is so frustrating that the tests costs so much and really are so inaccessible to many, even more annoying that a lot of ladies that I've seen have been referred for tests have unexplained infertility so basically the tests might come back saying all looks good 😩

@2020wish id definitely get signed off again if you don't feel up to going back to work. I went back into the office a week after surgery and actually found it a good distraction but your job does sound more physically intense so you have to do what's right for you xx

@Bexsta101 yeah I think 5 weeks is quite a long time for it still to be showing on a digital, The only reason for the negative pregnancy first is to avoid confusion over if there is any complications from surgery I think (if there was any retained products). Fingers crossed it's a new pregnancy for you xx

Bexsta101 · 19/06/2020 09:35

@MichT4 no symptoms but I just kept reading that you should test negative before trying again opps...I dont feel like I could be pregnant like last time so I'm convinced it's my hormones playing tricks on me

MichT4 · 19/06/2020 09:32

@Bexsta101 what made you test? Have you had symptoms?

MichT4 · 19/06/2020 09:32

@Bexsta101 Fingers crossed for you x

Bexsta101 · 19/06/2020 09:31

The dr said I shouldn't have the hormone in my system after 5 weeks but I have to wait another week and do another one....this is going to be the longest week ever!!!

MichT4 · 19/06/2020 09:30

@Bexsta101 sorry to hear about your MC. Please let us know how you get on with the doctor x

2020wish · 19/06/2020 09:23

Let me know how you get on and what the doctor says x

Bexsta101 · 19/06/2020 09:15

Thanks girls, I think I'll ring the dr for advice but if not I'll wait another week. I was 10 weeks along but baby died at 8 weeks 6 days.

2020wish · 19/06/2020 09:07

@Bexsta101 also how far along where you when you had the D&C as I believe the further along you are the longer it takes for hcg to drop out. I’m not an expert on it tho but maybe best ringing your doctor to see if your tests should be showing negative by now

2020wish · 19/06/2020 09:06

@Bexta101 it’s possible either way. You could of ovulated 2 weeks ago (two weeks after the D&C) and are now pregnant again. All you can do it either ring the gp or epu and see if they will do a hcg beta test or wait another week and see if it progresses til 2-3 weeks x

Bexsta101 · 19/06/2020 08:57

Hi girls,

Sorry to barge in but just need some advice. I was never told to take a pregnancy test after my D&C. After reading on here I thought it might be best. I had the D&C 4 nearly 5 weeks ago on Monday. We became sexually active without contraception about 2 weeks ago. I've just taken a test and it says pregnant 1-2 weeks. Is this just the left over hormone in me, I just dont feel like I'm pregnant like I was last time, and surely I wouldn't have a positive result after just two weeks of trying would I? I guess the only way to tell is to wait another week but I think I'll be racking my brains out waiting that long!

MichT4 · 19/06/2020 08:52

@Hayleylou89 Oh I probably will end up getting it. Although I'm hoping I'll understand it a bit more now. I was desperate to see a peak, so when Femom said it was one, I went with it. I think I knew hand on heart the line was a bit lighter than control. Now I've seen a peak test, that was detected by Glow as well, I feel like I know what to look for. Just wasn't expecting a longer cycle so I was stressing about seeing the signs around my app date.

Interesting about the antibody test, I didn't know you could get one. I'd love to know if I had it, I think I might have. Wonder if the chemists here are doing them. Definitely let us know your result.

Hayleylou89 · 19/06/2020 08:44

@Mich2020 yeah i totally get u but in a way its less stress with cb once u get used to them ur not then trying to guess if ur peak has happened or not by the lines getting darker etc bit i totally get u dnt want to over do it too xx

2020wish · 19/06/2020 08:36

@Hayleylou89 I think that would be a good idea to see if you did indeed have it. If you did u would be concerning as that have said your safe in the second trimester if you are exposed. Will you be letting your doctor and consultant know the outcome? My work is offering all of us it. Not sure what to do

You are all right about work. I think I will ring today and get the line extented as I feel I need another week tops anyway if I’m not pregnant to get over the upset at that and just prepare myself to go back with all the questions everyone is going to ask me. If I end up pregnant (fingers crossed) that it saves hassle trying to get a new one

VP91x · 19/06/2020 08:26

@2020wish could you call your GP today and ask for 2 weeks extended and then that gives you time to find out if your PG or see how you feel in general/need more time etc?

@Hayleylou89 I think just the nausea is a good sign that everything is fine. I hope all goes well with the scans etc. That will be crazy that you won't be back in the office for so long however, it is changing so much now that alot of people will do more WFH/split time in the office in general so won't be too weird.

🥰

@2020wish CD27! Last month was 38 days and this one looks like it’ll be 40. I totally expect there to be some time to come back down, and a long cycle is ok if it doesn’t mean something isn’t happening, but it just makes the wait so long!

Re your job, I’d say the same and do what you feel comfy with. If you’re anxious about going back, then get it extended. Then hopefully you get your BFP and it’ll be the right decision anyway. If you don’t, then you can always reevaluate how you feel and tell the docs you are ready to go back. For the sake of a couple of days, I’d just extend it. I’m sure the doc will understand why you want it, and then you can decide in your own time depending what Sunday says.

@Hayleylou89 I thought about buying them this month, but it was my first month of OPKs/temping with Ava and I already think I was overwhelmed. I thought I was less stressed with it but when the temps weren’t rising and OPKs weren’t peaking, I think it was stressing me more than I thought. Potentially delayed ovulation (another unknown) so I didn’t want to add another.
Maybe in a month or two if we aren’t lucky before then. So that means I’ll be getting one next month because as if I’d wait two 🙄! Xx

Hayleylou89 · 19/06/2020 08:18

@2020wish I know those pains where horrific so im glad this time is different, and i def think it was to do with my bowls last time, as this time iv not had and constipation or trouble going the loo (sorry tmi) but wow who Would have thought constipation could cause agony like that! Xx

Im going to get the covid antibody test today its £35 in the local chemist as im convinced i had it over xmas and new year and thats why i went into premature labour, i just need to know for my own peace of mind as the drs dnt seem to have any answer as to what happened, will let u know what the result is and im hoping if was that then i can relax knowing it wasnt anything i did or the fact i cant carry to term or anything to do with my cervix x x

Hayleylou89 · 19/06/2020 08:12

@MichT4 yeah totally feels like motion sickness, is suffer with that when im not the driver its the same as that too.
I think ull get ur temp rise now then, wouldn't u start using the clear blue sticks my app predicted i was going to ovulate a week later than i did and only for the cb stick that showed a peak (static smiley) i knew it was happening a week earlier, i know they are more expensive but one pack will last a couple of months if u have an idea of when u should be ovulating and start using them about a week before just incase xx hopefully uv caught this cycle though and dnt need them but id def recommend them alongside the cheapies so u can compare what peak on the cheapies looks lime compared to peak on cb xx

2020wish · 19/06/2020 08:11

@MichT4 fingers crossed this is the real deal. What cycle day are you now?

@Hayleylou89 sorry to hear ur so sick. Hopefully it lifts for you soon. But I’m glad your not in pain they way you were last time

Hayleylou89 · 19/06/2020 08:07

@VP91 All good i think 🤔 who knows, the sickness is a good sign but nasty at the same but im not really feeling anything else so obv just worrying about that but staying positive as i can until the next scan, ill be 9 weeks then .. time seems to be going so slow but hopefully once i get past 12 weeks ill relax a bit... "she says" but iv got in my head i need to get past my 23 week mark really, honestly this time im In a whole diff frame of mind to last time, i was so relaxed last time and time flew by, been told im going to be working from home until early next year so looks
Like i wont be back for 2 years in total once the babys here which is bonkers, really missing my work colleagues i must admit. Xx 😢

MichT4 · 19/06/2020 08:03

@Hayleylou89 I can’t imagine what it feels like. I get quite a bit of nausea in general, especially motion, so I can’t imagine much worse than that. Weirdly, I’d like to though!

Yeah I think my body had its second attempt possibly at ovulation but this time it was a definite peak. The OPK before said peak on the app but I wasn’t overly convinced with the line colour. Had a temp dip last night so really hoping I get the temp rise over the next few nights. Will just be nice to know I’ve actually ovulated 🤞🏼 Feels like a long wait and I’m not patient, but if I can understand my body a little more I might have more luck. Makes me wonder if previous months when I just used apps, I might have missed ovulation. Who knows!

Lots of appointments to keep you reassured! That’s lovely. So exciting xx

2020wish · 19/06/2020 08:03

@Hayleylou89 I’m 11dpo today. AF due either Monday or Tuesday. I need to ring my GP today to ask for it to be extented so I have it into work on time. They aren’t allowing me to pick them up at the surgery.. just post and the post is taking ages lol I’ve no frer atm and based on my nightmare of a supposed delivery yesterday I’ve no idea when my tests will arrive

Hayleylou89 · 19/06/2020 08:00

@2020wish about work... let ur frer help make that decision, hopefully ur pg again and u can be off sheilding and there is ur mind made up.

If your not then it wont do u no harm in taking extended stress leave because lets face it 4 weeks isnt that long for them to expect u to spring bk to work and its not like ur jobs a stress free job either so im Sure they will understand u need more time x x

Hayleylou89 · 19/06/2020 07:55

Hey @MichT4, Still the same with the sickness, its not good atall but just got to ride it out, why on earth they call it morning sickness i dnt know because its on and off all day sickness for me, feeling permanently hungover from the min i wake then i have a cuppa (dacaff) and i feel ok for a bit then the next wave appears 🤢...got my booking in appt on tuesday (8weeks) and then a scan the following monday when ill be one day off 9 weeks! Tbh the nausea is the only symptom iv been getting iv had literally no pains / cramping or anything so just hoping everything is ok in there 🙏🌈💖💙 How r u getting l on, r u waiting for temps to confirm ovulation at the mo?? Xx

@2020wish what a pain that is..but ur patient waiting another 2 days to test but as u say maybe its a sign although it would show now most probs too if u are, when is af due? Xx
