@chloedancer897 there’s something about hearing other people going through similar issues that is so helpful and heartbreaking. I’m so sorry you’re going through this too, but somehow knowing you are makes me feel less like I’m going insane. Someone out there understands how I’m feeling. I actually cried after reading your message. Still am now. Gah this is all mad.
Wish I’d not wanted a 3rd. But I do. And I doubt that feeling will ever go. Will book a Gp appointment and see what they say. What are you thinking Chloedancer? Have you discussed IVF?

chloedancer897 · 21/06/2020 18:08

@DBTJ interesting 🧐🧐

@NightDreaming your story is similar to mine. We've been trying for 2 1/2 years for number 3. Didn't have a problem conceiving the other two. Husband is so done with watching me crumble apart every month and always feeling miserable. I actually wished this whole month away hoping I was pregnant. I'm worried I'm wasting my life wishing for something that just may not happen. I just don't know if I can close the door on it entirely. Are you keen to try IVF? Have you had investigations done?

NightDreaming · 21/06/2020 18:04

Afternoon all.
Doing my best to catch up on everyone but there are just so many messages. Would be easier to keep on top of this thread if I came on every day but I’m not very good at that, it’s lovely hearing everyone’s good news.

5 days late but my period finally came yesterday. Its been very painful, physically both before and now during period. But also emotionally. My husband and I talked today for the first time about the possibility of it not happening and us stopping trying. We already have 2children, but have had an horrendous 3 yrs trying for a 3rd. I’m not sure I can keep putting my mind and body through this. How do you all keep up the energy and momentum??

We’re both going to do one final GP check so check all is ok and if there’s nothing they can do I think I’ll cry for a month and do my best to rid myself of the idea of another child. Will be had but I can’t keep living in limbo land forever. Feel like I’ve been sat stationary. If pregnancy is not going to happen I need to move on with my life. x

VP91x · 21/06/2020 17:51

Enjoy get feelingSmile

DBTJ · 21/06/2020 17:05

@chloedancer897 very easy to feel your cervix especially when not pregnant as its lower down. Sit on the toilet and try you be very surprised.

With time you do get better.

VP91x · 21/06/2020 17:01

@chloedancer897 oh bloody hell really? What on earth have I been touching up in there? X

chloedancer897 · 21/06/2020 16:31

I'd be really surprised if anyone is actually feeling a cervix as it's so posterior when you're not pregnant which is why they use a speculum.

VP91x · 21/06/2020 16:28

@SmileyT well, I wasn't sure until this month really - I might be wrong still. But, I can basically like place my finger into the opening because it feels open. Whereas normally I can't. If I ever give birth again I am 100% self examining because Im dying to know what a dilated cervix feels like xx

@chloedancer897 the consultant at EPU told me to take iron supplement, vit d and folic acid x

Diorissimo1985 · 21/06/2020 16:20

@chloedancer897 re supplements - you could spend loads of money but might be best to start with vitamin d and high dose folic acid as this what my gynae said would be a good starting point

DBTJ · 21/06/2020 16:09

@SmileyT

Firstly when you go to feel what position is your cervix. If you manage to feel can you touch the top , you will no when it's open as there is a slight gap. You need to try and feel your cervix at least twice a day. Try and also feel it when you are on af as you will then no what it is for cervix to be open.

SmileyT · 21/06/2020 16:02

@VP91x @DBTJ this is one thing I can't work out, how do you know if your cervix is open or closed?

@chloedancer897 I take coq10 it's supposed to be good for egg and sperm quality so can't hurt 👌🏾

DBTJ · 21/06/2020 15:07

@2020wish you need to look at the consistency as well as position. You cervix can be high and then drop it does change quite a bit. Also try and feel if it is slightly open or closed.

VP91x · 21/06/2020 14:25

@2020wish god, no idea. I've heard that it stays high and soft if you're pg but also seen alot of threads where cervixes have been low and hard 🤔

This month I've finally sussed out what my cervix feels like when it's open but, also it moves around throughout the day I've read.

@SmileyT haha, not a bad shift then. Yeah definitely will come up over the next couple of days. What's the deal with the calc is it 2 a day or the 8 that the packet says? Xx

Hey all, so I'm getting my amazon order ready for the next cycle. What do I need? I don't want to temp or do a million OPKs, my cycle is pretty regular and i think temping will just make me symptom spot. I'm happy with CH digital for now. The smilies are easier to understand lol

With regards to supplements, what should me and DH take? I have been taking seven seas conception supplements just, DH hasn't taken anything but going to start this month. I've heard people saying to take COCQ10 etc, what is the benefit with that?

Thanks guys! Onwards and upwards xo

SmileyT · 21/06/2020 13:41

@Jazper it will reset after you get a static I think but won't carry baseline over between cycles it will always be blank circle at the start of a new cycle. My reader came with 25 sticks so it will see me through this cycle and maybe another. Like you I think I won't buy more but I probably will 🙈

@2020wish my cervix stays high all the way up until period, this month I did notice the morning my period started it was super low and firm, first time I've noticed it being low so guessing it happens right before period x

@mrsssk I didn't have IB with my BFP before MC but I did have spotting before period first period after MC, don't test and just wait even if it is an IB you won't see a positive test for a few days xx

@VP91x yay to positive test today will definitely get your temp rise tomorrow or Tuesday morning 🙌🏾 he is a train signaller, so silly he was on a night shift last night but there were no trains running and no engineering works so basically paid to just sit there 😂

Jazper · 21/06/2020 13:14

@SmileyT , yep, totally get what you mean on cb being pointless. Having said that, I'm really only trying to get to grips with my cycle post mc as it was so all over the place. Once I know it's regulated, I will probably stop. Probably. Maybe not 😂
Have you been using the same holder or a new one every cycle? That's the thing that threw me this month as I used the same holder so expected it would pick up an oestrogen rise even on the first day (after tracking it last month with the same holder, you see?)

mrsssk · 21/06/2020 13:13

@2020wish yeah not experienced IB before so who knows?! Fingers crossed for you too x

2020wish · 21/06/2020 13:09

Anyone a pro at cervix position through our cycle?
I’m not a pro but I usually use the flex cup that sits against cervix rhi AF arrives and I can usually reach the cervix to feel where I’m putting the cup but don’t actually pay attention to what I’m feeling. But thought I’d have a wee go tho there to see what position It’s in and I can’t feel it at all it’s so high. Is that normal? How long does it take to drop for af arriving

2020wish · 21/06/2020 12:51

You can implant between 6-12dpo and then from implantation being completed it can take 2-5 days for hcg to built up enough for a BFP. So could be implantation. Fingers crossed!! I’ve never have IB but that sounds like it

VP91x · 21/06/2020 12:50

@SmileyT thank you, I've actually had quite a productive few hours getting stuff done in the house. Done a opk just now and it's pretty dark both lines are the same colour so think it's just all fluctuating still. Not too worried about it, I know my temp will rise either tomorrow or day after. Ahh, what does your partner do? So nice to have a lazy Sunday.

@HopeForRainbowbaby ahh you still have quite a few days left. Sounds like you're having a nice day.

@2020wish I really hope they are good signs for you still hun xx

I'm so confused - I think I'm about 10/11 DPO going off when I had some highs (but no peak) off cheapie OPKs and watery EWCM. I've carried on checking CM and OPKs just because it's the first cycle after mc bleeding stopped and I'm wondering if I ovulated already or may ovulate later.

This morning I noticed after wiping going to the loo that CM had a pink tinge and when checking CM properly it was bloodshot.
Feels far too early for AF to be arriving though I'm certain it's that, rather than implantation bleeding. When does implantation bleeding tend to happen and did anyone experience it before getting their BFP?

I really don't want to do a test before AF is due next Thursday and seeing a BFN. I'd rather just wait for it to arrive. I haven't had any other "symptoms" as well like the first PG I had incredibly sore breasts and was needing to pee so often in the days leading up to AF due. I didn't have this kind of blood tinged CM last time either so I'm certain it's AF making an early appearance.
Just after some moral support to stop me from testing early!!!!!!

SmileyT · 21/06/2020 12:29

@2020wish ahh must be so hard after you've told her you were pregnant, really hope you don't have to tell her any bad news but just remember children are very resilient and she will just want to be there for you I'm sure xx

@MichT4 just remember the sex before ovulation is the most important as after the egg has popped its much harder for it to be caught by the sperm so as long as you've covered the days before you're good x

@Jazper yeah I think it's to do with whether oestrogen is already elevated, I thought mine might elevate early so tried starting the testing a day earlier and it has caught that surge, yours might have already been elevated so didn't catch it this month. I'm assuming I'll still get my peak on the same day but does make me think that using CB is a bit pointless because it's just confirming what I know 🤷🏾‍♀️ as long as we get our static I guess it doesn't matter that much x

Ahh @VP91x I hope you get some chill time once DH is at work and DC asleep... DP got in at 7.30am from his night shift so still sound asleep and I'm having the laziest of Sunday's 😴 x
