@Suki2020 all good thanks, af over and I'm on cd6 I think so all set for the next cycle. Tbh I'm just looking forward to my docs apt on Friday and really hope this big announcement on Tuesday won't impact on any treatment going forward 🤞🏼

Hmm, keep using opk's but perhaps if you're late it might be worth doing a pg test?

Suki2020 · 20/09/2020 14:26

How’s your cycle going @Newbie0818
How is everyone doing?
I’m on cd 44 my app says my period is 4days late but the past 3days I’ve been having EWCM especially today and pelvic discomfort but my OPK’s aren’t high so I’m not sure what’s going on and my temp is up and down like a yoyo.

@duckii I'd keep using opk's daily as I tend to only get a positive a couple days after the ewcm starts. Hope it's not too long for you!

duckii · 20/09/2020 09:52

Aargh. Just wasted my last FRER and it's a BFN. 2 days late, don't feel like af is coming at all. Now I wish AF would hurry up.

Good luck with this month @xoJellyBean

xoJellyBean · 19/09/2020 20:02

@duckii I hate the way our bodies confuse us 😭 hope it's not a long cycle for you though. Af has just finished for me, I forgot to take soy this month lol but I'm back to temping 😊

duckii · 19/09/2020 09:35

@xoJellyBean I found one, should have taken a pic of the result. It wasn't positive. This is just going to be a long cycle. How are you getting on?

xoJellyBean · 19/09/2020 09:27

@duckii have you got any OPKs to test??

OP posts:
duckii · 18/09/2020 20:17

Quick Q,

I'm on cd 37. AF due today but no sign or no feeling ther AF is coming at all. But tmi, I had a bit of ewcm today? I don't think this has happened before around AF time.

I did do a cheapie Poundland test I had lying about 2 days ago and was a BFN.

I think I may not have ovulated this month or this will be a very long cycle... Sad

duckii · 18/09/2020 20:14
@duckii Fingers crossed there's no change for the worse to your cycle! Sorry to hear you're under some stress Sad.

I've used opks but this is my first cycle tracking my bbt. What about you? Have you been trying for long? I always had it in my head we'd take a relaxed approach, maybe dtd every second day and hope for the best but nope (hence the username!). I've found it more stressful trying to forget about it and relax. Doesn't help I think I'm the first person in the history of my family ever that's had to actually try to conceive so I had a bit of an unrealistic expectation it would happen straight away.
I know what you mean. I only use opks but I might even stop using them from now on as I've ran out. I might swap with you and take a more relaxed approach! Or even take a break out. Ttc can be quite stressful.
How are you finding tracking your bbt?

Neurotic90 · 16/09/2020 21:10

duckii · 16/09/2020 20:12

@Neurotic90 aww I feel your pain. Only recently I've had an average of 37 day cycle for the past 3/4 cycles but I have a feeling it's going change now as I'm not sure I even ovulated. But then I'm a bit stressed atm so that could delay it even more!

No I won't test. If af is not here by the end of next week, I may be tempted.

Do you track ov and temp?

Neurotic90 · 16/09/2020 19:17

@duckii They've been on average about 51 days since I came off the pill a year ago, but the last one was 95 Sad.

Hopefully AF stays away for you for the right reasons! Are you going to test?

duckii · 16/09/2020 15:43
**@xoJellyBean* @duckii* Oh no, I'm anxious now about the soy! I'm on day 4 of taking it, if I have another cycle like last time I don't think I can cope. What cycle days did you both take it? I went for 1-5 in the hope it would shorten my cycle a bit.

Good luck with your appointments @Newbie0818 @Elakiya and @Suki2020!
I took it on days 3-7. My af is due on Friday but I don't feel like it's anywhere near! How long are your cycles usually?

xoJellyBean · 15/09/2020 22:58

@duckii I think it did! Only slightly though. This period is sooo light compared to my normal so I'm unsure if that affected it too

Hi ladies! Sorry for those with af, fingers crossed for next month. Good luck to those getting docs involved too!

I've been a big quiet due to me and DC falling ill - been tested and its not covid but we have had this awful cold/flu for 2 weeks now. So ttc has not been on the radar.. but tbh I feel like giving up.

I tried Soy this cycle, maybe managed dtd 3 times sometime before ov. I'm on CD 35, AF is due in 3 days. I have a feeling this is going to be a longer cycle though - maybe it was the Soy.

@xoJellyBean did the Soy make your cycle longer?

Newbie0818 · 15/09/2020 19:01

@Suki2020 that's awesome, hope it helps 🤞🏼

Suki2020 · 15/09/2020 18:23

Hi ladies, still no af for me but then I’m still convinced I haven’t ovulated yet. I have my first fertility appointment tomorrow so will hopefully find out what the next step is for us. My appointment came through really quickly only had to wait two weeks, but I was referred by my gynaecologist at the hospital so not sure if that makes a difference. So fingers crossed things can start happening for us at long last.

Newbie0818 · 15/09/2020 18:14

Sorry for all those who af caught :( it sucks!
I don't know what on earth my body is doing but I've been spotting on and off all day so af is imminent. BUT I've booked an apt with the doctor to start fertility intervention and that's making me feel positive. I was quite scared but the lady who booked it was super nice and really helpful which is lovely. The doctor is going to give me an initial telephone consultation and then ask us both to go in for further tests and treatment options. I feel like something is finally going to happen 🤞🏼
Hope everyone else is ok x

Elakiya · 15/09/2020 15:40

@xoJellyBean I use OPK's but I am going to stop using them for this cycle. I have about 3 stone to lose so I am going to work on that first and keep doing SMEP (Well I won't know when I ovulate due to know OPK's but I am going to just DTD every other day from Cycle day 10 to AF start) and after I've lost the 3 stone then I'll probably go back to OPK's.

I've also been seeing a private gynae PCOS (through work insurance). He said I need to do a HCG scan which my insurance will pay for and some bloods and then I have to pay for the consultation with him regarding "fertility" so will do that in the mean time.

Are you on any medication? I am currently on 1500mg of metformin.

xoJellyBean · 15/09/2020 14:46

@Elakiya ahh sorry to hear about you too, let's get through this next cycle together! I'm going to track again this month I think, do you track anything? I came off my pill in 2018 with the attitude of if it happens it happens, I try for a couple of cycles and then get frustrated and stop so I'm not even sure what cycle of ttc I am on! I feel the same as you, never going to happen for us 😭❤️

Fingers crossed for you @SarahTTC2020 ! This is a lucky thread so here's hoping 🥰 my cycles are around 30-32 now

SarahTTC2020 · 15/09/2020 13:42

Ah sorry ladies - stupid AF! Have some chocolate and a nice bath and it's ok to feel upset 💛🌻

I think I might have had a positive opk last night when I went to bed, both lines were same darkness but my wee was quite diluted so they weren't the darkest I've ever seen.
Still DTD just now as well just in case and will carry on doing it every couple of days for a while in case I'm still heading for an extra long cycle. I'm only on CD16 but I did have a peak on cd16 2 cycles ago so 🤞 this is a shorter cycle

Elakiya · 15/09/2020 13:36

@xoJellyBean Sorry AF arrived. It arrived for me this morning as well. :(

How long have you been trying? I am moving on to cycle 5 of ttc (I know it's not long... but with PCOS and knowing that about 2 years ago blood tests showed I stopped ovulating all together. I am really don't think it's going to happen for me. :(

xoJellyBean · 15/09/2020 13:29

AF is here yet againnn... not sure if soy did anything for me 😔

OP posts:
Suki2020 · 14/09/2020 16:47

@SarahTTC2020 I did have some dark OPK’s but I don’t think it was quite dark enough. My temp hasn’t really risen much.
