@Newbie0818 sorry that you have pcos, but like you say at least now you know why your cycles are like they are. I believe there are some supplements for helping to regulate /ovulate with pcos (myo-inositol, I think there's some inositol in pregnacare conception), and I think you can also get clomid from a gp to help ovulate. So don't loose heart, there's still things that can be done to help. I've seen many stories of people getting pregnant with pcos.. Sending big hugs and lots of baby dust to you xx

Newbie0818 · 19/06/2020 10:52

Well the doctor just called and I now officially have a diagnosis of PCOS. Just had a major breakdown about it as I know it will be a while for us ttc, but I'm also relieved that there's a reason now as I thought I might have it. Bit of a bittersweet feeling. I just knew something was wrong and it couldn't just be the pill.

Hope you're all well x

Eppy123 · 19/06/2020 08:38

Aww thank you for the warm welcomes everyone!

I haven’t been temping, can anyone recommend a thermometer? I’m new to this whole thing so just trying to pick up info and tips as I go along!
I was on the pill for about 7 years prior to that so I guess it will take a while for my cycle to return to normal.
Will definitely be checking in to this thread more often, everyone is really supportive!
Love to all :) x

Newbie0818 · 19/06/2020 07:45

@Rosegold3112 yes I do! Sorry you're feeling crappy x it's a really long and unfair journey compared to others isn't it.

My apps have now recalculated too, predicting ov on Wednesday or yesterday! Exactly as I thought. Really hoping this is it now 😰

Does anyone else find they go up and down a pot emotionally just waiting to ovulate with a long cycle? All my apps have changed their prediction of my ovulation date to either yesterday or today despite no peaks in temp and all my opks being negative. I think it's because I had lots of watery and egg white cervical mucus at the start of the week and now I just feel like i'm failing. Almost 100% certain I definitely haven't ovulated yet 🙄🙄

Newbie0818 · 18/06/2020 14:49

Well results are in, all normal apart from one thing on my bloods (which I anticipate is a lack of ovulation by day 21), and the lady doctor is going to call me tomorrow.

Newbie0818 · 18/06/2020 13:15

Hi and welcome @Eppy123 we feel your pain! This is a great place to get support through. Hoping something starts happening for you soon x

Suki2020 · 18/06/2020 10:24

@RosebudTTC I didn’t know you could take agnus castus and myo-inositol together? I take 400mg agnus castus in the morning, afternoon I take Vitamin D and then in the evening I take folic acid and another 400g of agnus castus.

RosebudTTC · 18/06/2020 09:37

@eppy123 Welcome! I'm sorry you're going through a rough time, even early on into your fertility journey can feel tough so don't beat yourself up about finding it hard!

RosebudTTC · 18/06/2020 09:34

Just re read my message from last night, lots of exclamation points, I was very excited by AF arriving on day 42 haha.

@suki2020 I take two of the Gaia Vitex liquid capsules on an empty stomach in the morning, I believe that's 1000mg. Really positive to hear it helped you ovulate! I haven't ovulated in so long so fingers crossed. It could have been a total coincidence and I've also been taking myo-inositol too so who knows what it was!

Suki2020 · 18/06/2020 09:26

Hi @RosebudTTC I take Agnus castus, been taking for about 7weeks now. After starting it within 3weeks I ovulated. They do say it takes 3months to work though so don’t know if it was a coincidence that I ovulated when I did. I am on CD26 now and no sign of ovulation yet all OPK’s have been negative. What dose of agnus castus do you take?

Rosegold3112 · 17/06/2020 23:36

@Eppy123 hello and welcome! I'm still new here myself. Let me assure you I feel your frustration! I've read it can take up to 6 months after coming off the pill for your cycles to return to normal so I wouldn't panic. How long were you on the pill for?
It's only my 2nd month officially ttc and it has been eye opening how many things I am capable of worrying about at once 😂 you're not alone. Are you charting your temp at all?

Eppy123 · 17/06/2020 22:13

Hey, been following the long cycle threads for a while - firstly congrats to those who have their BFP! Much love!

I am currently on day 48 - I have been using OPK (first cycle using them) and looks like I haven’t ovulated at all?

I came off the pill in Feb, had a period at the start of May and ... nothing since... starting to feel really frustrated although trying to tell myself this is super early in our TTC journey and not to panic.

Just wanted to get all that off my chest!

Newbie0818 · 17/06/2020 21:00

Oh and I'm so exhausted! But still no af for me, but lots of ewcm again and a big temp rise this morning, though that could be because pup kept me up most of the night 😴

Newbie0818 · 17/06/2020 20:59

@xoJellyBean aww you're allowed to mope today for sure! Onwards and upwards for next cycle. Milo is settling in super well, such a boisterous little boy 💙

@RosebudTTC yes! Agnus castus is supposed to be super helpful in that way. Really glad it's helping you already :) might try some next cycle if I'm not lucky.

Congratulations @darcy86 that's amazing! What a strong line!

@newbie0818 your puppy is gorgeous!

I can't quite remember who it was on here but someone suggested Agnus Castus to me - I did some research and bought some, started yesterday, today started my period! Might be a big coincidence but it's a bit odd!! Very pleased to see AF on day 42 of an anovulatory cycle! 42 days is really short for me too so this feels like progress!!

xoJellyBean · 17/06/2020 20:11

@Newbie0818 aw thanks, day 1 of period and emotions are at a high😂 just very fed up... although I'm off tomorrow and going to do a lovely engagement photoshoot so that will distract me! 🤩 how are you? & how's wee Milo?🐶

Sorry you're feeling crap @xoJellyBean hugs x

xoJellyBean · 17/06/2020 19:26

@hollywhooo pros and cons to all of it! I feel so shitty today... how are you feeling

hollywhooo · 17/06/2020 17:16

Congratulations @Darcy86 how exciting for you!!!!!! Xx

@xoJellyBean i think i’m just going to use OPKs again although you girls are making me think temping may be wise. Had a chat with OH yesterday as it felt like i was putting loads of pressure on us and taking the fun out of it so i think temping might be a bit much for him haha

Rosegold3112 · 17/06/2020 15:57

@Darcy86 congratulations! How exciting for you 😊😊
I'm behind on all the messages 😂 still trying to get used to all these forums

Newbie0818 · 17/06/2020 15:21

@xoJellyBean sorry af got you :(

@Darcy86 what an amazing line! Congrats 🎉🎉

@Rosegold3112 im not too sure really, could be trying to ov

Rosegold3112 · 17/06/2020 13:08

I'm going to jump on the cm talk! From Monday I had quite a lot, gradually building up from sticky to yesterday stretchy and egg white consistency. Temps haven't peaked, opks negative but would have been around the right time for me to o if my cycle was going to revert back to 30 days. Today, not so good 🙄 gone back to sticky. Was that my body's attempt at ovulating? I guess I'm sticking to 41 days this month

Darcy86 · 17/06/2020 11:39

@Pol96 ah that's great to hear, and so exciting! I ovulated cd19 I think so yes, looks like I'm almost exactly a month behind you. Believe I am only about 3 weeks so got to keep level headed but it's very hard already, and I've only known for about 4.5 hours. Definitely haven't already suggested a name to OH... Blush

Good luck with your journey, would love to keep in contact and see how you're getting on!

Pol96 · 17/06/2020 11:26

@Darcy86 definitely try not to temp and if you do rhr try and stop that too.. Causes a lot of stress. Mines due 21st Jan (might be 24th as I ovulated cd18) so a month before your little bean is due 😊 the days do go rather slowly, but I'm finding that the weeks are going quick. I found out at 4 weeks and will be 9 weeks tomorrow. X
