Long Cycle girls TTC #2

Hi @Pol96 yeah that’s what I thought. Last cycle I caught my peak so made it very clear I’d ovulated with temp rise. Just weird how one app says I’ve ovulated and another says I haven’t. How are you and bubba doing?

I'm due to ovulate a some point in the next week (the apps say either the 30th or the 1st but I don't want to be caught out by a random short cycle) so we've just decided to DTD every other day until I've definitely ovulated. If nothing happens this month I'll start temping but I'm reeeeeally trying not to add in too many things to obsess over if I can. Fingers crossed my ovaries do their thing asap!

@Suki2020 it looks like you ovulated on the 21st from your chart, so am assuming you'd have got a peak opk had you tested later on the 20th or earlier on the 21st as they are quite dark ?

Hey ladies how are you all doing? Do any of you think I have ovulated yet? I had EWCM on sat night and a little cramping and I’ve now had 3days in a row with temp increase. One app says I’ve ovulated and another says I haven’t. A little confused. What do you ladies think of my chart and OPK’s?

OPKs and thermometer at the ready this time around. I think it's the only way I'm going to be able to tell 100% when I ovulate because going by my app just isn't cutting it. Anyone using those methods, do you usually start right out of the gate or do you wait a few days after AF goes? I've temped one cycle before and hated it, but needs must I guess.

@Rosegold3112 How exciting for you too (I’m sorry I’m new to Mumsnet so if I haven’t tagged you properly, that’s my excuse!). I’m so excited to start trying and potentially have a little baby in the next couple of years! I have had hormonal tests done recently (I have a benign pituitary tumour that can affect pregnancy hormones) and everything came up okay so I am hoping it’s just a case of timing things correctly. I’m not going to start temp charting right away, we’re just going to see what happens.

@suki2020 yours definitely looks very dark on the 21st! Fingers crossed your temps continue to rise! I never thought I'd be so emotionally invested in this but it's a nightmare really having no idea what your body is going to do on a day to day basis 😱😂
@justlonelystars welcome! I feel I'm quite new to this journey too, this only being my second month of trying. First month I didn't temp chart or anything, but since my cycles have been longer since lockdown I am finding it as something to focus on. I haven't yet charted anything promising though so can't give much help on that front 😂 my only advice would be to keep positive and keep it fun and if you're anything like me then these forums will be a great help too with some really lovely people 😊😊

@Rosegold3112 my temp dropped a lot yesterday but then I had a big jump this morning. I think I missed my peak too. I have had dark lines but not quite as dark as the test line. I’ve attached mine but think we are quite similar.

My husband and I made the decision today to start TTC. I thought I’d wave hello and also ask for any advice you lot might have.
I’m very new to all this so any helpful pointers would be great :) my cycle is long-ish and quite often irregular so I know it might be a challenge to conceive but fingers crossed

@Suki2020 ah well hopefully you can get some more time with him to get down to business next week.

@Rosegold3112 I think you may be ovulating today in that case? You may have just missed your surge.

@Suki2020 I'm not in the UK but my GP referred me to a Gynecologist privately so I've been to him already. Outside of my hypothyroidism and high prolactin levels he can't see anything much else wrong. No PCOS or endometriosis and MRI of my pituitary was clear.

Have any of you had a HSG done? I've been advised to get one done but have to wait as Radiology aren't doing them at the minute with covid. If that's ok, I think Clomid is the next route.

@newbie0818 I'd definitely say you ovulated on cd35. You're not crazy.
I was feeling optimistic yesterday. Got my first ever dark result on an opk but not darker than the test line. Thought it might finally be happening but today it's back to being barely there. Did I miss the surge? Or was it just random? My temp is super low today, lowest its been since charting.

@Newbie0818 we’ve only done it wed/fri/sat but nothing before that for 5days so will try again this evening. It’s so difficult because I have no pattern to my cycles at all so makes it so much harder. My partner is working a lot at the moment and has a stressful job so that makes it slightly harder but it should all settle down for him in the next few weeks.

@Suki2020 tiring! Dread to think what a baby will be like 🤣
Did you keep DTD anyway? I suppose that's the key thing x

@Newbie0818 aww bless. I remember the days of a new puppy ours is nearly 10months now. Really hard work though. Yeah I’m ok, just really confused with my OPK’s this cycle. Not sure if I missed my peak over the weekend or I haven’t ovulated yet.

@Suki2020 I really really hope so 🙏🏻 that makes me 6dpo already without even realising 🙈
He's doing so well! Growing up everyday and we've only had him a week. He's literally the best thing we've achieved during lockdown haha.

@Newbie0818 yeah by looking at your temp I would say you ovulated CD35. How is puppy doing? They are a good distraction that’s for sure.

@Suki2020 I'm ok thanks! The puppy has been keeping me busy and really helpful. I also think I've ovulated for sure. My temps definitely indicate it right? I'm not going crazy?

@jlmul9 sorry you had a bad day. Sending hugs. Wow 5yrs, have you been offered any help from the nhs? I’ve been off the pill 2 and half years now and still nothing although I have only been tracking temp since last Oct. this is my second cycle doing OPKs. I’ve attached my last cycle where I hit my peak. My temp over the last few days has had some jumps to. Just confused if I’ve just had a serge or I’ve ovulated and missed my peak reading

@Suki2020 Thank god I had work today to keep my foul mood at bay. Had a bit of a cry this morning looking at all the Father's Day posts. After 5 years TTC this day seems to get to me more than most

So hard to tell, the second line looks darkest today at 15:42, but also yesterday at 14:01? I have OPKs to maybe try for next month but they seem to confuse things even more. Is this your first month using them?

Hi ladies how are you all doing?
I’ve have a few days now of high LH but no peak, had EWCM yesterday. Do you think I’ve just missed my peak or I’m just having a surge and a peak will just happen later in my cycle. I’m CD29 today but ovulated at different times of my cycle each month

So sorry you're struggling @hollywhooo it's such an emotional rollercoaster all of this. Do things that make you happy today and know that your time will definitely come xx
