Anyone else DTD few days before ov?! 2WW

DTD with my partner on Saturday which makes it cycle day 13 for me. I ovulate around cycle day 15/16. So today or tomorrow. I can’t DTD today so I have to stick with my partners swimmers from Saturday. Wondering if I’m still in with a chance this month 😕I know it takes hours for egg to be released and sperm live for a few days but I’m still thinking I’m out. Anyone else in the same boat as me?

@Leobaby it has gone quickly! First week is always a drag. Woke up with a stinking migraine this morning so I guess af will be arriving 😑 fml.

Finally getting my hair cut today so I have something to be excited about 🤣

@Csari yeah I think so, even though he was excited he still thinks we’re not 100% ready. He has said he would rather it just happen as well, so yeah maybe he’s the same as your other half!

@RobinRose wow 7dpo already! that’s gone quick lol. Ooo so you did it around a good time then. Yes that’s fair enough, I’d be the same. Just gotta stay positive! 💕

@Leobaby Dtd cd 4, 7, 9 and 12. Had ewcm on cd12. Had some cramps cd13 so think I ovd then! Roughly 7dpo, trying not to count so I don't get fixated on when af should arrive.

I am feeling pretty much back to normal already luckily and considering trying again this cycle :) although now sure I'm brave enough yet lol

@robinRose I am ok thanks, feeling more positive and have had a nice few days which has helped, although I am in a similar situation with what seems like loads of pregnancy announcements in the past few days, although I'm probably just more aware of it at the moment. I'm super pleased for them still but did have a bit of a wobble if im honest. Hope you are doing well and fingers crossed for you this month ☺️

@Leobaby how are you? Are you taking a break from TTC for a moment then?

I know My DH has never been as enthusiastic about actively TTC as me lol and know he'd rather it just happened than timing it and all, I think its the pressure for him. Could it be similar for your other half?

@RobinRose ah I see why it would probably affect him differently.. that’s still very frustrating for you bless you. Just try and stay as relaxed as you can, I know it’s hard but it will most likely help you. Try things that will keep you feeling positive and good, it will happen when it’s the right time. How many times did you dtd around ov? How many dpo are you now? I’m CD11, I expect to ov some time next week. Just using cheap opks atm, will do a digital tomorrow maybe!

@SK2970 yes that’s what I’m thinking, see if it’s the same time every month! How are you today?

@SK2970 keep them stocked up! Hope your symptoms don't get too bad! He's alright about it, he has children so I guess it affects him differently. He gets upset/ frustrated when i get upset about it all. Always looks after me when af arrives!
@Leobaby yeah ov has been and gone! No i don't feel positive this cycle at all. I feel the same, very agitated at the moment. Where are you in your cycle?

@RobinRose good, yes just like me really. Have you had your ov then? And aw bless, yes I can imagine you would want yours by then, fingers crossed for you! Do you feel positive about this cycle or? I’m okay thanks, moods very up and down just don’t know what I’m doing with myself at the moment.

@SK2970 gosh! Hope the nausea doesn’t get too bad for you! And I think I should be ovulating mid next week - not sure if we’re going to try this month!

@RobinRose I have ginger biscuits at the ready!! I'm 5 weeks + 3days now and most of what I am seeing is it kicks in around 6 weeks!

I get that, hard to take your mind off it!! Need to keep yourself busy if you can Smile how's your partner doing with it all?

@SK2970 ginger is meant to help with nausea! How many weeks are you? Its going okay, trying not to think about potentially being pregnant or anything baby related but it is embedded in my brain! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 don't feel it will be our time this cycle.

@Csari aw I’m sorry. I’m glad you’re okay though and your husband is looking after you, such a horrible thing to go through. But you are right at least it happened early instead of further on down the line. I’ve had a loss around 5/6 weeks too, and I’m the same I kinda felt it was gonna happen. Instead mine was extremely painful though. I’m not sure on that one, I think you can still try again maybe they say a month because of hormones?
But I’m good thank you, don’t think we’re trying this month, but not sure yet. It’s OH birthday month so just sorting bits out with that! ☺️

Hey @Leobaby I'm not sure why really, but every time I went to the loo I half expected to see blood so I feel like subconsciously I probably knew that something wss wrong. I haven't tested yet but I'm very crampy and heavy so its definitely an early loss I reckon, ill leave it a few days for my hormones to settle back down.
Weirdly I'm OK, hugely disappointed and a btu sad but otherwise OK apart from the cramps. I know that at this stage losses are usually issues with the baby developing and I suppose I'd rather it was now than further down the line when it would have been alot harder, I was only about 5 weeks.
My husband has been lovely, buying me chocolate and running baths so I feel well looked after at least and I've ordered some OPKs just incase I want to try again this cycle, although I'm not sure if you are supposed to leave it for a month or not.
How are you? X

@Sdoo4 hello, if you dtd on day of peak you have a good chance! It’s stressful if you’re going off dtd a few days before ov I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re obsessive and impatient like me 😂 deffo will have to do it at least everyday next time lol.

We DTD four days leading upto ovulation. I think I ovulated a day later than expected. We had already started then got my peak on the OPK so DTD that day, hopefully caught it then. I really couldn’t handle 5 days in a row lol!

Its been light spotting since about lunch time but is now getting heavier. I think its too early for anyone to be able to see anything anyway unfortunately. Feels absolutely rubbish as I was so pleased but I have to say its almost like I was expecting it x
