Anyone else DTD few days before ov?! 2WW

DTD with my partner on Saturday which makes it cycle day 13 for me. I ovulate around cycle day 15/16. So today or tomorrow. I can’t DTD today so I have to stick with my partners swimmers from Saturday. Wondering if I’m still in with a chance this month 😕I know it takes hours for egg to be released and sperm live for a few days but I’m still thinking I’m out. Anyone else in the same boat as me?

Thanks @Leobaby. Im trying to stay positive, I think I'm just feeling a bit fed up because this month I'd decided to throw everything at it and then missed Dtd on the day of Ovulation for no real reason other than that I worked late (I'm working from home so no real excuse lol). But you are so right, I'll definitely try to relax now.

AF is due on the 28th or I think, feels like ages away but ive promised myself I will try not test unless AF is late.

Hopefully you ovulate today then and get a BFP in July!

@RobinRose haha I can imagine honestly! But I’d deffo look at it like the other 6 months didn’t really count! Haha, every little helps, I’d do the same but my OH is very stubborn, if he thinks he is fine then he IS fine 😂 I’m always telling him what helps sperm and what doesn’t but he doesn’t take any notice lmao. Oh I see, I don’t even have anything to do my temp. I think every time I have done it out of curiosity my temp is high anyway. Yes it’s definitely a good indicator for me too. I’ve had less today but it’s definitely still there.. so maybe not ovulated just yet (sigh) I’m so impatient too. All that waiting and slight hope & excitement & possible early pregnancy symptoms just for a BFN lol x

@leobaby when you put it like that it doesn't sound so bad! Stl feels like years though 😂 dp has been taking CoQ10 supplements, they are meant to help with sperm, and feeding him nuts, bannas, eggs...🙄🤣 I just didn't get in with temping, really messed with my sleep because I new i had to take my temp at the same time! I think ewcm is a good indicator me, going my previous months using opks! I hate waiting, I'm so impatient 🤣 x

@Curiosity101 I have read that too! No luck yet though. Are you ttc? X

Hi @Curiosity101 I’ve read this too. I feel like I’m now educated in this stuff! Constantly researching the same thing even when I know the answers lol. Depending on when I ovulate i won’t know whether to count myself in our out just yet. If I ovulate today that would be a bonus as I DTD 2 days a go. But if I ovulate any later then I think I’m deffo out.

@RobinRose ah I see, that makes sense now. So realistically the last 3 months have been the real months to see whether it’s gonna happen or not. Definitely don’t lose hope. As months go by your chances will increase hopefully as well as the sperm count getting back to normal! I’ve not tried tracking my temperature yet, all I’ve done is gone off my EWCM and obviously used a few opks. And yes of course my bad, your birthday should still be good lmao! 😂oh no, well can only wait now and hope for the best. X

@Leobaby we were advised to not expect anything until after 6 months as the sperms needs time to improve (cant remember the technical term), dps 3 month sample was on the low side of the normal range but the consultant expects this to improve but you just never know! I tried temping one month... what a ball ache that was!! Haha yep! I'm sure I will have a nice birthday either way tho but it would be awesome 🙄! No none at all, all my pms symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms🤦🏼‍♀️ boots are a bit bigger which is normal for me and I've had a migrane today which is usually a sign af is looming! x

Hello @Csari welcome! And you DTD whilst having ewcm which is a bonus because sperm love that! Again it is a couple days before suspected ov so I think you might be lucky, definitely still have a high chance so don’t worry. You must’ve ovulated around the time as your cervical mucus changed so I think you have a high chance, so do not be annoyed with yourself, relax and hope for the best! When is your af due?

@RobinRose oh did he? Well maybe it’s taking longer because of that as well? I’ve used opks but they stress me out as well. I’ve run out this month but going by previous months I know when I should be ovulating. And yes I’m from the U.K. too. Lockdown you’d think would make it much easier lol! Oh god no, that’s true, so your birthday could either go really well or just complete crap lol! Have you had any symptoms yet? Hopefully you here from them soon, praying that they are positive for you 🤞🏼X

@Leobaby thats true, but your right its not good for our souls!! I think I've been a bit optimistic it would of happened already given our circumstances (partner had a vasectomy reversal). I didnt use opks this month, I didn't seem to get a positive with clear blue last month which pissed me off! So I've had a much more relaxed approach this month (until now 😂), I have a fertility cup and I didn't use that either! I wish I could just go with the flow but I know there's a chance it won't happen for us which doesn't help when your trying to relax about the situation! Its hard to tome it around ovulation, I guess lockdown ( I'm in the uk) has helped as I'm working from home! Fingers crossed you've timed it perfectly 🤞Yep everyone around me is having babies too! A bfp would be much better than af, If af comes I wouldn't even be able to have birthday sex! 😔😂 I find it hard to stay distracted during the tww. Thank you, I had them Friday so if I don't hear anything tomorrow I will call them Wednesday i think x

Hey Op. I am in the same boat this month.
Its is our 7th month TTC and the first month tracking ovulation.

I had EWCM on Cd 9 & 10, then Watery CM and a positive OPK Cd 11 with Flo predicting ovulation on Cd 12 so figured i could miss DTD on Cd 11 and still catch CD 12. Then I had creamy Cm that day so didn't bother dtd as was stressed with work too. Looking back I think I Ovulated on Cd 11 so we only managed to DTD on Cd 9 & 10 this month and I feel like I missed my chance a bit this month. Im a little annoyed with myself tbh.

Hope we are all lucky this month, ill be keeping ny fingers crossed for us all.

I've read a number of research papers that suggest the two days leading up to ovulation are almost as likely as the day of ovulation to lead to a pregnancy, so I really wouldn't count yourself out!

@RobinRose In theory cycle 9 isn’t too bad they say up to a year. But obviously for our little souls it’s far too long! Don’t give up hope just yet. It’s definitely draining for sure. I’ve been on and off for a year, some months will do it around ovulation some months not. We’re just going with the flow really. Although I quite badly want one. All of my partners friends have had babies in the last year so we’re both getting broody! But this time it was more near ovulation so I’m curious! Let’s hope for you that you get your BFP this month for your birthday! 🥰 I’m not very hopeful for me to be honest, but I will still endure the 2WW as I don’t have anything better to do at the moment lol! But you’re right, time is definitely flying by x

@Leobaby this will be cyle 9 😔 how about you? my partners sperms count is slightly on the low side (within normal range) but maybe this month here was one good swimmer! I. Just tired of trying yo stay positive about it, no one tells you how draining it is! II managed to get 21 day bloods to so waiting for those to come back. Oh it would be a fantastic birthday present! Oh you haven't got too long to wait! Luckily the months seem to by flying buy at the moment x

@RobinRose how long have you been TTC? I feel the same, pretty negative about it lol. Well you DTD and then your 2 days EWCM arrived so you could’ve possibly done it in time?! They do say 2 days before has a high chance due to the sperm waiting ready for the egg. So hopefully fingers crossed for you. 🤞🏼Oh yeah it definitely sucks, it drags like mad! Ah okay so you only have a week to go, that’s not too bad lol! And maybe a surprise birthday present too?! I’m due around 1st-4th July. So I have a long wait, hoping I’ve ovulated already or will do today! X

@Leobaby do you think so? I'm not convinced, I've become pretty negative about ttc now! I usually get ewcn for 1-2 days. Hopefully Saturdays swimmers are champions for you! Tww sucks, 1 week would be much bloody better 😂 af is due around 21st-23rd June, 22nd being my birthday 😑😂 how about you? X

Hello @RobinRose 😊 and I’m glad I’m not the only one. I need others to be in my boat with me right now lol! Hm, I think you have a high chance to be honest! How many days do you normally have ewcm? I noticed mine after I dtd on CD 13, got lots on CD 14, and today there is still some there but not as much! So I’m hoping I’ve ovulated so I’m in with a higher chance. I can’t dtd tomorrow either so I’m literally stuck with my swimmers from Saturday! I don’t think you’re out just yet though my love so join the TWW with me!😂when is your af due? good luck x

Hello! Its frustrating isn't it We? We dtd either side of when I think I ovulated so I'm sure we missed my peak this month....
Cd 10 - dtd
Cd 11 - ewcm
Cd 12 - ewcm
Cd13 dtd
I wasn't bothered at the time but I am now🤦🏼‍♀️roll on next month!
