Hey

This is my 9th month TTC my first baby and I'm 33. I got static smiley on Friday on OPK, and now I'm in my TWW - again! I'm currently on furlough so the wait seems even longer and more painful and I definitely end up going a bit crazy 🤪

Anyone else in similar boat and need keeping sane?! Also any TTC tips you've heard of? I will literally try anything at the moment haha.

@CAG14 you know I caved so I wouldn't blame you if you did too! Just keep remembering it's still early if it's not the outcome you hope. There's still time 🤞

CAG14 · 21/06/2020 18:56

Finding it really hard not to test today. Even though I know I'm only 9DPO so it would be pointless. Will probably end up testing tomorrow morning with a FRER which again might be too early but I won't be able to resist!

@Stabal I can definitely see a faint line! Test again in a few days to see if it’s darker. Fingers crossed!

CAG14 · 21/06/2020 14:30

@stabal there is definitely something there! Fingers crossed it gets darker day by day!

Lmao @Stabal I know, they just don’t understand lol! I’ve had to try and keep myself busy and not think about symptom spotting!
How’s everyone’s weekend going?

CAG14 · 20/06/2020 21:12

@Stabal we had my in laws over for a BBQ first people I've seen other than my husband for 4 months. Was sooooo nice and such a distraction. It definitely helps to keep busy to stop the urge to yest!

@CAG14 I've been the same, redecorating our hall/stairs and landing so that's been helpful the past few days and will hopefully keep me occupied next week too as well as work lol

CAG14 · 20/06/2020 20:45

@Stabal bloody autocorrect. I meant false positive not sense positive

OP posts:
CAG14 · 20/06/2020 20:31

@stabal you know what you can see. It is hard to get a sense positive. I'll raise my drink to you if you wait till Friday as I'd find that so.hard but will fully help support your wait. I am good. Been busy today so havent had time to think about it much. I will test on Tuesday for first time I think.

@CAG14 I'm going to try my hardest to wait until Friday! I was getting so frustrated trying to take a photo that showed what I could see that I then convinced myself it's been too long and now maybe the line is an evap.. But there was def a faint line within 3 minutes, I swear! I've had stabbing boob pain over the last day too. Ughhh the waiting is the worst! How are you?

CAG14 · 20/06/2020 20:00

@Stabal ahh omg that sounds so.exciting. I would def not be able to wait A WEEK? Hahaha. Have you worked out how to post a pic?

OP posts:
Stabal · 20/06/2020 13:07

@Leobaby fiancé says he thinks he can see it and then told me to wait a week to do another.. So easy for them to suggest these things 😂

Leobaby · 20/06/2020 12:32

@Stabal ooo, hopefully it is a bfp!

Stabal · 20/06/2020 11:33

Faint positive on a first response this morning. Trying to get a picture that shows it and that I'm not going insane! 😩

CAG14 · 19/06/2020 23:04

Hi, I'm about to start ttc for the first time - thought I would say hi too!

CAG14 · 19/06/2020 14:05

@JanQi no taboos here whatsoever. Nothing is TMI! We can all be as crazy as we like and help each other rationalise things.

It is 7DPO for me today, no other symptoms apart from the sore left nipple/boob and the other one is feeling a bit "full" today too.

@Jadeb1995 & CAG14 I'm so glad you can relate! It's hard to know whether I'm being "normal" level of obsessive. None of my friends have had kids yet so it's hard to talk to them about it. I had a chat with a friend today and she had no idea how much was involved with getting pregnant. I've spent my whole life being super careful with contraception because as a teenager it always seemed like all you had to do was have unprotected sex once and boom, pregnant. Now I'm realising how complicated it actually is I feel so naive. I'm so grateful for this forum and to be able to talk openly about it without feeling like it's "taboo".

CAG14 · 18/06/2020 20:24

@stabal yes I remember you saying about the laparoscopy and surgery now. The same as what my sister has. Her endo went undiagnosed for years so she had no idea it was causing fertility problems. I'm glad they have taken you seriously now, it is hard to live with. But also glad the periods have become more regular and better. Bloody sucks being a woman doesnt it! Haha omg at your family saying it is wind. My husband rolls his eyes if I say anything about any symptoms now.

OP posts:
Stabal · 18/06/2020 20:08

@CAG14 I have PCOS and endometriosis and had been trying to get gynae to treat the endo but that meant an operation and they wouldn't do it because I was overweight. They seen a laparoscopy as not worth the risk at my weight 🙄 so for years I got, "there's nothing we can do other than the pill or mirena coil" which is obviously not gonna give me a child haha. Meanwhile people I know with endo are having one bad period and having an operation. So once I lost the weight they started taking me seriously about fertility and were doing all the usual tests before going down the surgery route as the problem might be something other than the endo. My periods were irregular and very very heavy, months of no cycle then weeks of bleeding. But at only just a stone and a half loss they regulated out, albeit slightly longer than the norm. And by November I was ovulating. The body is a weird thing! Also before I realised I was pregnant I had the weirdest stitch pain on my right side that I'd convinced myself was appendicitis and told my family about it and they kept telling me it was just wind 😂 after a week of the pain I was ready to kill them if they told me one more time I just needed a good fart 🤦‍♀️ hopefully yours is also not wind!!

CAG14 · 18/06/2020 19:41

I've had cramps this evening. Cant be AF as too early. Hoping it is implantation but it is probably just trapped wind haha.

@stabal @jadeb1995 @LT103 I've also had the classic lines of "try not to think about it and try not to stress" as well as "just have sex more" eye roll. So annoying. It does get better after time as you get used to the cycles and your body but there will always be the agony during the wait between ovulation and AF rearing her ugly head and the constant googling!!!

@stabal it is amazing you lost 4 stone, such a huge amount to lose you must feel great. Did you have to be below a certain BMI before they referred you?
