Thou will not get stressed.

Thou will symptom spot casually and not obsessively.

Thou will not test before 12dpo.

@LeopardLover I got the empty circle on the first day of testing. Apparently when u use it for the very first time that's a good thing as it then notices the change in the surge and then begins to flash.

LeopardLover · 23/06/2020 08:51

Morning all!

@SS123456 oh that's weird!? I'm CD7, used it for the first time this morning and got the empty circle. As expected. 🤔

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 08:43

Hmmm I think I'll use cheapies alongside it then. I bought this for clarity of when my fertile window is but this is just making it more confusing than before!

@KB13

Hi welcome!

I'm currently cycle 2 of trying for no 3. My periods were really irregular before I had my first. I take wassen magnesium ok to help regulate my cycles. I also use cheap opks to pinpoint exactly when ovulation is but decided not to use them this cycle. X

ALew15 · 23/06/2020 08:21

@SS123456 I'm on my 7th day of flashing. I'm on CD13 and only due to ovulate around now. I started getting flashing on CD6.

claireb707 · 23/06/2020 08:12

@SS123456

So I'm CD6 and I thought I'd give the CB digital opk a test run this morning to see how it works. It gave me a flashing smilie but I usually ovulate somewhere between CD16 and CD22 so surely it is far too early for me to be in my fertile window?! 🤔. I'm so confused now! I thought I'd only get flashing smilies a few days before ovulation??
You can get a weeks worth of flashing on your first go with the cb digital ones as it hasn't learnt you yet, keep persevering
claireb707 · 23/06/2020 08:11

@kirinm

CD08 and still a negative OPK. I think I might buy the cheapies to so in the afternoon as I'm concerned FMU isn't the right time?
My cheapies specifically say not to use fmu, the clearblue digital ones say to use it but think they are the only ones

Good morning ladies, can I join. I’m on CD 23 but have irregular cycles so could come on anywhere between today and the 6th July. Haven’t been tracking so have no clue when I could of ovulated 😬 but will hold off testing until the 6th. This is officially try no1 for baby no3. Already symptom spotting but I feel like it’s just af getting ready. How do ladies track successfully with irregular cycles??

SS123456 · 23/06/2020 07:25

@kirinm I did feel the same but I assume it's because they test for oestrogen as well as LH (cheapies only do LH). No harm in doing a cheapy later in the day though without FMU, that is my plan anyway 😊
@claireb707 OKAY so I'll start tomorrow... I'll use FMU until I get the flashing smiley. Once that starts, I'll go to twice a day - the second testing time will be around 4-6pm.

Does that sound okay to you? Also, before you test do you have to avoid peeing for 4 hours or did I make that up? Sorry for all the questions!
I drink too much daily to be able to hold for 4 hours other than over night 😂😂

I do drink less in the evening than I do during the day but I generally test 4-6pm and then before bed.

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 19:46
@claireb707 I had them from an eBay shop. I've messaged them to complain. Yeah it's definitely an expiry date as the other packet has a 2021 date. How bad is that! I hope they either refund one pack or at least send me an in date one.
I wonder if it affects them?
I'm no expert but can't imagine they won't show something. Give one a try and see what it does

LeopardLover · 22/06/2020 19:44

@kirinm that's it! Flashing means high fertility and static smiley means you're at peak fertility.

@ALew15

Just as I was saying make sure they are in date... I went to do my afternoon test and guess what- my tests are dated 2019! I can't believe it. Do you think that would affect the results? I've just messaged the company I bought them off. I haven't long had them!
😮 where did you buy them from? Is it definitely expiry date or is it a manufactured date?
Babyyno2 · 22/06/2020 18:11

My CB ovulation are hopefully arriving tomorrow 🤞 has anyone got any tips or a quick how to guide on the best way to use them?

ALew15 · 22/06/2020 17:33

kirinm · 22/06/2020 14:34

Hmmm, I was hoping to avoid buying cheapie tests - ovulation or HPT because I turned into a POAS maniac last month. I don't know if mine will flash as I have the slightly cheaper CB ones - they identify your 2 most fertile days (apparently). What does a flashy face mean? Is it just your LH levels are high (but not yet at peak)?

ALew15 · 22/06/2020 14:24

I've seen just the CB sticks for sale on eBay. Just make sure that they are in date. I think people sell them once they don't need them anymore. Not a bad idea and saves money x

claireb707 · 22/06/2020 13:08

Annoyingly you can't buy the sticks on their own so you get a new holder everytime hence me having 4 at the moment (3 unopened, and one in use)

SS123456 · 22/06/2020 13:07

@claireb707 brilliant thank you! I guess CB are keen to make you buy a new one each month! 😊
