Thou will not get stressed.

Thou will symptom spot casually and not obsessively.

Thou will not test before 12dpo.

@whambam89

Hi all, hope you're all doing ok! We've had a really busy week enjoying the sunshine. Just popped on to let you all know that Amazon currently have the clearblue digital opk on offer at £16 with 20 tests! And the one that tracks just 2 fertile days for £8! Cheapest I've seen them thought it might help some others out x
Jeeeesus that is cheap, I normally pay about £22 for them
LeopardLover · 26/06/2020 06:53

BBT temperature dropped overnight*

LeopardLover · 26/06/2020 06:52

Morning gang!

Bit of excitement over here as I received first flashing smiley this morning at CD10. Hoping it rains or something because tonight is business time! 😉 Despite the crazy heat my BBT temperature overnight and Femometer also thinks I have high fertility, so that's something.

Thank you @whambam89, I will order another kit today!

@Rotagilla How strange, I'm guessing you haven't ovulated!? Any update?

@BuckleUp thank you, I’m hoping my LP will be fine but it’s hard not to worry about every single thing isn’t it!

@myheadisajunglejungle I have the opposite problem and I ovulate cd 21 out of 31 days! So 3/4 of the way through my cycle then have a short LP! I have no idea if either scenarios are ok or not x

@blodyn91 I’ve just got the femometer ov sticks they’re so much stronger than the eBay cheapies I think I’ll get on much better with these and get stronger lines, I input them into the premom app which is free. I seem to get EWCM a week before ovulating then get a little bit of it when I ovulate too

blodyn91 · 25/06/2020 14:33

@Jaym78 Im on cycle 3, first cycle of OPKs and BBT, and so glad I have tracked ovulation this time because I ovulated 3 days later than what free apps had suggested. So for less than £10 worth it. I've attached my charts so you can see what they look like, Ive used a femometr thermometer and opks. Haven't really monitored CM.
Ive been seed cycling this cycle, so a spoonful of Pumpkin and linseed pre ovulation, now i to sunflower and sesame (but decided to carry on with linseed as well). Onto my 2 week wait now 😬

Does anybody else ovulate early? I don't use OPK's but I suspect that I ovulate before day 14 and I've just gone back and looked at my last pregnancy where it seems I conceived on CD9. Can that be right?

BuckleUp · 25/06/2020 13:54

@Boc86 Ahh thanks for explaining. It seems I'm fairly average then which is reassuring. I'm only on my first cycle TTC and there's so much to learn. I'm sorry to hear about your chemical and hope you have more luck this cycle. I wouldn't say 10 days is that much shorter than the average so hopefully it was a one off. Sending good wishes your way x

Boc86 · 25/06/2020 13:49

@BuckleUp I don’t think they lengthen LP but they can help over all with regulating cycles - I think... lol I’m still researching them
That’s a good LP, average is about 11-17 days depending on where you read about it. Mines 10 days and short is 8 days although some websites say anything under 10 is short so I guess I’m on the shorter side of average
I’m convinced I was pregnant a few days ago then came on, a chemical pregnancy and it would make sense if I can fall pregnant fine but not hold onto it with my LP being short and the lining not thickening. Good luck x

krj2608 · 25/06/2020 12:11

Afternoon all

When did you guys start testing with cheap opks? Currently cycle day 8 but still spotting 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Rotagilla · 25/06/2020 10:07

Was supposed to be ovulation day yesterday but I've used opk's and nothing....but the app has been correct the past few months.
Do you think I've not ovulated?!

SS123456 · 25/06/2020 09:54

@LeopardLover I really don't know! The cheap opks are very much low 🤷🏻‍♀️. I got the CB thinking it would help me identify my fertile week but this is just making it even less clear now!

claireb707 · 25/06/2020 09:42

Another flashing smiley this morning so we dtd 🤞🤞
I wasn't due to ovulate till next week (cd9 today) but I'll give anything a go if it helps

LeopardLover · 25/06/2020 09:24

@kirinm It really is BORING. Although it probably won't change until nearer CD14, will it!? 😅

kirinm · 25/06/2020 09:13

@LeopardLover CD10 and also a boring old empty circle on mine too. Starting to wonder if it's going to work at all

LeopardLover · 25/06/2020 08:58

Morning all! CD9 for me and ready to skip a few days. I can't be the only impatient one who hates the 5 minute wait on the CB OPK? 🤣

@SS123456 How odd!? Could you just have a faulty reader? I'm still getting the empty circle!

BuckleUp · 25/06/2020 08:56

@Boc86 I'm taking those at the moment, started taking them last cycle and started TTC this cycle. I figured they contain the vitamins recommended by the NHS. Didn't realise they helped lengthen a short LP? What counts as short? I think mine averages at 12 days..

SS123456 · 25/06/2020 08:43

How are we all today? CD8 for me and a third day of flashing smilie on CB 🤔. I'm not due to ovulate until around the CD17-20 so I'm not trusting the digital opks at all

Jaym78 · 25/06/2020 08:42

@kirinm don't kmow if I'm giving the right advice here but I'd prob try dtd, what I've been reading ewcm helps sperm swim through to the egg. If your due ovulation soon maybe a better chance?? I don't know about opks in afraid I've not used them xxxxgood luck xxxxx

kirinm · 25/06/2020 08:19

I've just had a lot of what looks like EWCM but a negative OPK. It's a bit early for ovulation (CD10) but I don't usually get such obvious EWCM either. Not sure what to think?

Boc86 · 24/06/2020 20:27

Cd2 here and going to buy some seven seas trying for a baby tablets on Friday, give those a go as I have a short LP

SS123456 · 24/06/2020 20:16

Don't listen to the negative nancy's, you don't need that in your life! We are a positive bunch in here 😊. I am 36 myself so technically an older mum but I feel more prepared and ready for a baby now than when I had my son at 28

claireb707 · 24/06/2020 12:23

Cd8 here and got flashing smiley on cbd opk this morning. Also had ewcm earlier too 🤨

LeopardLover · 24/06/2020 12:17

@kirinm Ignore them. Some of my closest friends were born to mums in their 40s. I've heard countless stories of friends of friends having perfectly healthy babies later in life - including at 46. But there's no reason you couldn't have one later! Every woman's body is different. Please don't listen to those negative Nancy's.

BuckleUp · 24/06/2020 12:07

@kirinm I wouldn't listen to them. I'm sure you've assessed the potential issues related to an older pregnancy and have made an informed choice. The medical professionals will be able to give more guidance once you're pregnant and attending scheduled appointments.

I'm 31 and worried I've left it too late as most of my friends and family were mid-twenties. I actually had a fallout with a colleague who adamantly believed (and voiced it loudly) that it was selfish to even TTC after 30! Not sure if she was aware how insulting that would have been to anyone TTC (luckily I wasn't at the time).

At the end of the day it's personal preference! Happy thoughts sent your way 😊 xx
