Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

@foreverhopeful67 @BbyBx2 @Muriel84 @Smushty14 @Smiling124 @33Carr @memily @LottieX

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

@fashu hiya, how exciting on the house front! Best of luck for that and for testing tomorrow. Are you 13dpo today then? I'm also testing tomorrow but I'll only be 11dpo and feel very pms today as I did yesterday so not holding out much hope. Only doing it as I want drink guilt free this weekend 😂 my sisters baby shower so I feel drinking is essential to get through it lol!

fashu · 24/07/2020 12:36

Hi All, how are you all doing??
I'm going to be testing tomorrow, somehow I survived the 2 week wait without testing! Well maybe because we are all systems go with a move. Had an offer accepted on our dream house and had a offer this morning on ours which is the asking price! So excited. A positive test would be the cherry on the cake right now! Fingers crossed and hope everyone is well!

AnnaPosie · 16/07/2020 22:21

7 days late and after 5 tests AF arrived 😭🙈 that's me out til around the 16th of August , best of luck

Juno231 · 14/07/2020 15:19

@eastcoastgirl yeah you're meant to put it under the tongue - try it tomorrow and see if it makes a difference?

eastcoastgirl · 14/07/2020 14:59

@juno231 mouth temps, but just in my mouth but not under my tongue, could that make a difference? It seems to take forever to take a reading and maybe my mouth does open a bit while it does it, wonder if that's the problem

Juno231 · 14/07/2020 13:56

FYI I really enjoy temping! Here's my chart from last cycle apropos nothing at all lol :)

Testing Around 11th July
Juno231 · 14/07/2020 13:54

@eastcoastgirl how are you temping? Looks like armpit temps for me and those are really unreliable - def do mouth temps over those!

If mouth ones then make sure your mouth is fully closed when you do them and no sips of water or anything beforehand. If you have the patience for it, warm the thermometer up in your mouth for a minute or two before temping.

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 13:34

@AnnaPosie yeah I'd think it would be as well but some ppl are slow to produce hcg. If you're still not on in a weeks time you could ask your GP for a blood test. Best of luck!

AnnaPosie · 14/07/2020 13:31

@notyetamumbuttrying yes I track my ovulation and my cycle is always the same length, I use three different apps and they are all fairly similar, I've been getting my period on the 8th or 9th of each month for the last year I would say and I started taking the multivitamins after my period last month so it's the only thing that has changed , I'll definitely be throwing them in the bin ! I don't think there is any point doing any more tests as surely by now it would test positive or show a faint line but there's no line at all.

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 13:27

@AnnaPosie aww I can see why! 5 days is a long time to be late. Did you track ovulation and know your LP length?

AnnaPosie · 14/07/2020 12:54

I'm five days late, convinced it's because of pregnacare vitamins as I've seen so many people say this happened as well, I caved and tested again to today and still a negative. It's so annoying as my cycle is so thrown off now and I keep letting myself hope maybe I am pregnant 😂🙈

AnnaPosie · 14/07/2020 12:52

@juno @eastcoastgirl I haven't tried the temperature thing either , I think it would just confuse me and stress me out !

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/07/2020 11:18

@eastcoastgirl I'll be due on again 28th July as my cycles are only 24 days long!
I don't temp for this reason, I think it would stress me out more! I hope someone can help though! I'm ovulating today so got one session in this morning, I doubt I can get him to do it again tonight but I'll try anyway 😆 we've done 4 days in a row and that's the most we've ever done in a row before. Not even on our two week honeymoon last year 😂
Good luck everyone!

eastcoastgirl · 14/07/2020 10:51

@Juno it seems so, unless I've missed one? Did Sussexbythesea get a BFP or did I dream that??

Next testing for me is 1st August, I'm just starting my fertile week this week. Trying tempting this cycle but not sure I'm doing it right. I haven't managed exactly the same time every morning, I think once or twice I've laid half awake for half an hour or so before I've temped and my temps all seem quite low - 35.41, 35.56, 35.83, 36.50, 36.50 for the last 5 days. Shouldn't they be between 36 and 37?

Good luck for this cycle to everyone else! Hoping for some more BFPs this time around!

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/07/2020 23:29

@MintGreenLife thanks, and likewise!!
@Juno231 seems so 😔

Juno231 · 13/07/2020 21:57

Ah shoot did we seriously get to the 13th and not have a single bfp?

MintGreenLife · 13/07/2020 21:46

@notyetamumbuttrying haha thanks :) I've just ordered a book called 'The Period Repair manual' - in which the author discuses coming off the pill and various hormonal imbalances and what to do etc, and think she does recommend agnus castus, so will give that a read and then maybe give it a go! If it looks like it might not be the way forward then I think I'll take the plunge and purchase the pill detox. Keep me up to date with how you're getting on and how things go at the docs x

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 13/07/2020 21:38

@MintGreenLife not heard of that, might look into it. I'd give the agnus a try as I'm testament to seeing that your cycle goes bk to normal afterwards. Just start with a much lower dosage than me 😂

MintGreenLife · 13/07/2020 21:03

@notyetamumbuttrying I mean fruit is good for you, so I'm sure it can't really be an issue! I was eating around 4 pieces a day after cutting out refined sugars, but am going to try and limit it to 2-3 for now. My plan was to have my protein shake for breakfast 5 days a week, but maybe I'll carry on with my smoothies two days a week and then will just have the shake 3 days, surely that can't hurt!

I'm honestly considering this homeopathic 'pill detox' that costs £90. I've been watching the videos done by this particular woman for a while now and think I may take the plunge and hope that gets me back on track. It's £90 though, so a small part of me wants to try Agnus Castus instead as so much cheaper, but would hate to possibly make things worse!

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/07/2020 20:56

@MintGreenLife it is so hard to know what to do for the best sometimes isn't it! But you're right, you do have to eat so just everything in moderation and then you can't go wrong! I eat loadsa fruit so perhaps that's where I'm going wrong 🤷🏾‍♀️

MintGreenLife · 13/07/2020 20:51

@notyetamumbuttrying ah fair enough, that seems sensible. I swear I have the opposite issues to you - late ovulation/maybe no ovulation, super light flow, and hardly any PMS! Yep I've read one that you're on as that's where I recognised the username, and I've been searching through older ones too.

I'm driving myself a bit crazy fussing over diet and what I should and shouldn't be doing right now. It's advised to cut out dairy post-pill as it can cause inflammation, so for a while for breakfast I've been having a mango, kale and spinach smoothie, but I've just finished reading 'It Starts with the Egg' which advises only two portions of fruit a day because of the sugar, so I've just bought a vegan protein powder to have a shake for breakfast, and have now read that peas in high volume can cause fertility issues - the protein powder is pea protein!! Can't win right now. Apparently studies in the 1960s looked into peas as a natural contraceptive, that's how good they are meant to be at stopping pregnancy. I can't not eat, so I'm just going to crack on and finish what I've bought and then switch to something else next month. Driving myself a bit mad trying to make sure I'm doing all the right things :/

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/07/2020 20:25

@MintGreenLife I decided to stop because I'll be going to the drs soon and I wanted my cycle to be my normal rather than how I'd changed it. In case it affects any tests etc. I also just want to talk to a dr about my early ovulation so that I know whether to worry about it and try and delay it or just let my body do what it wants. It's a great tablet for hormonal imbalances as it did calm my pms, lighten my flow and delay my ov so it did everything I wanted so I won't knock it. I'm just not sure about taking it again until I've spoken to a dr and if they think my early ov is an issue or not. I hope it helps you, I'm almost certain it will tbh! Have you read the agnus castus thread on here yeah?

MintGreenLife · 13/07/2020 19:49

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for your advice ☺️ Is there a reason why you've stopped taking them? Or just because of the crazy high dose? I think I'm either not ovulating, or I'm ovulating really late and having only a 3-4 day luteal phrase - from what I've read it sounds like it can help with either issue, so maybe it's worth a shot. It's so hard deciding what's best 🙈 X

notyetamumbuttrying · 13/07/2020 19:43

@MintGreenLife hi, you're right! Smileso for some unknown reason the ones I bought were 2200mg a tablet! 😳 I've since read that 800mg is probably enough so no wonder my periods lightened and my LP shortened lol! I would defo give it a try if you're not ovulating. I used them to delay my ov which it did by two days but the first time it shortened LP by two days making it 12 and then the next cycle it delayed it by one making it 13. I'm off them now so I'm sure I'll go bk to my normal 14LP as I've ov'd early like usual on cd10 this cycle. Just make sure you take a normal dose, or check with a dr first as it's pretty potent for a herbal tablet.

MintGreenLife · 13/07/2020 19:18

@notyetamumbuttrying hey ☺️ I've been reading other threads about Agnus Castus and I may be wrong but think I spotted you might be using it? Just wondering what your experience has been so far and what kind of dose you are using? I'm three months off the pill and don't think I'm ovulating, so wondering if I should give it a try x
