Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

@foreverhopeful67 @BbyBx2 @Muriel84 @Smushty14 @Smiling124 @33Carr @memily @LottieX

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

@Smiling124 I'm on CD36 so we're not far apart! I'm self employed and work is quiet at the moment, so I've got lots of time to read all about TTC 🙈 I'm reading 'taking charge of your fertility' at the moment and finding it really helpful. I read 'the impatient women's guide to getting pregnant' last month too which was a good quick read x

@Smiling124 this is CD34, the longest I've ever had! We haven't had unprotected sex yet so defo not a pregnancy. I did ask DH if the condom has burst but I think we would have noticed.. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's just typical! The month we decide to start trying, AF decides to be a little bitch and mess around with my cycle lol! Ill see if she's here by Wednesday and if not.... we'll I don't know if what haha!!!

Smiling124 · 15/06/2020 22:49

Im the same @ReginaaPhalange, due on Fri, two bfn later (a digital one makes it even harder) and she still hasnt arrived 😑 @MintGreenLife you seem so cluded up!! I am very uncertain as never had a cycle longer than 34 days... Now 35, exhauated and just wishing af would arrive or I could pick up a faint line!

ReginaaPhalange · 15/06/2020 13:08

Be here, not be better 🤣

ReginaaPhalange · 15/06/2020 12:52

Still no AF for me!!! She should have been here on Saturday! Usually a good DTD brings her on, but nope - nothing at all :( just want her to be better so I can start tracking!!

I'm hoping this is just post-pill problems, as I don't recall having long cycles before the pill, and my first cycle off the pill was 30 days. Think I got prematurely excited that my cycles had gone back to normal!

I was looking at omega 3 also, but feel like I will be taking so much. I already take a probiotic twice a day as I have IBS, and now planning on taking Pregnacare + extra vitamin D and vitamin C...not sure if you can go too far?! Maybe I'll try that for the first month, and look at adding in omega-3. This article here does seem to suggest omega 3 is pretty important for TTC though: www.parents.com/getting-pregnant/fertility/best-vitamins-and-minerals-to-aid-conception/

@ForeverHopeful67 @mintgreenlife I find it hard to judge what the supplements are doing to be honest as there's definitely been a change in my cycles the last few months but for all I know they're just post pill irregularities? (I came off the pill in Oct though so you'd think that would have chilled by now).

I suspect pregnacare has lengthened my cycle but it's been a good thing I think as at the start of the year my cycles could be as short as 24/25 days so now I have a proper follicular and luteal phase. I suspect it wouldn't lengthen it further if you already have long ones? Although they say to try agnus castus if they're as long as yours @mintgreenlife .

The omega 3 and EPO is for my CM. Last cycle I didn't look out for it much so don't know if I missed it - but when I started the cycle before was the first time I'd had proper EWCM since Oct (it was so good!) so I do think it helped. No clue about the ubiquinol as that's meant for improving egg quality so that's not something I'll ever be able to see a tangible difference with I guess.

Forgot I've been using pre-seed for 2 cycles as well but that's clearly not done much if I'm still here!

MintGreenLife · 15/06/2020 10:48

@Juno231 forgot to tag you above x

@Juno231 sorry to hear AF got you! But Atleast you can get on with the next cycle now Smile and we can go through it together again!
Would you say you've seen much difference in any of the vitamins your taking? X

MintGreenLife · 15/06/2020 10:05

Weirdly I've not broken out at all since stopping the pill, which I fully expected. Makes me think my hormones probably haven't reset and perhaps I will get a late breakout. I have the opposite issue now in that I'm having a crazy long cycle, but my first AF (and only after breakthrough bleed) was so light, more like spotting and only lasted 4 days. I'm definitely going to switch to full fat dairy and try to minimise my intake. How do you find pregnacare? I think i'm going to give it a go to cover all of the vitamins mentioned in that article to help with resetting hormones post pill, but I've read lots of people say it messes up their cycle! I mean mine is clearly already a mess, but wouldn't want to make it worse :/ on the other hand other people have said it's helped regulate their cycles...hmmm.

@ForeverHopeful67 AF showed and I'm on CD2 now! I appreciate the BBT warning - I think I'm just doing it to feel like I'm doing something different this cycle. It's like each cycle I add something new to the rota lol. So now I'm on ubiquinol, his and hers pregnacare, omega 3, evening primrose oil, OPKs and now BBT. I've also added grapefruit juice to the follicular phase and will be doing pineapple and pomegranate for the LP. Phew that's a lot!

@mintgreenlife I liked the article you linked! I've definitely noticed being spotty post pill which I never was before, and my periods are still super short and light which worries me a bit. Was already thinking I need to cut back on dairy for a while (for the spots) and this article emphasises it too so will def give it a go!

MintGreenLife · 15/06/2020 09:30

Morning @fashu :)

Sorry to hear that, it's so frustrating isn't it! I think I'm on CD37 now and only just ovulated a few days ago. I've been doing a lot of research since I last posted on here - yesterday I woke up with painful boobs and nipples urgh, which I was worried about as that happened last month too, four days before AF came. I wasn't tracking my cycle last month, but I recall I got EWCM for two days before the painful boobs, and then AF four days later, which appears to be an extremely short luteal phase. I've been looking into it, and short luteal phase as well as painful breast immediately after ovulation points to low progesterone.

I've found this really helpful article for anyone that's recently off the pill and struggling with irregular cycles: avivaromm.com/post-pill-reset/

I'm going to get started on step one with a multi vit and may add in extra vitamin D (already taking) and vitamin C.

Like you Fashu I've been nervous of doing something wrong, so I didn't take a multi vitamin from the start, but seems I probably should have in hindsight.

I was the same as well in worrying about DTD after ovulation, but until I got the sore boobs and finally a temp rise I wasn't sure if I had ovulated, and tbh I don't think my OH would be happy DTD loads for two weeks and then nothing at all for the next two weeks. It's easier said than done, but I would maybe try not to worry as NHS say you can safely DTD throughout pregnancy. Maybe dial back the DTD after you think you've ovulated, but go for every 2-3 days instead just in case? x

Welcome @Hayl6
Still no AF for me, 8/9 days late now. Tried to take another test this morning and flooded it urgh. I'm wondering if I might be going through something similar to you @MintGreenLife ? if I am I have probably missed my chance this month.....haven't dtd for at least 12 days because I'm so scared of potentially messing anything up! I admire your perseverance on still temping and using OPKs!

Hayl6 · 15/06/2020 03:06

Hi everyone. This is our first cycle of TTC (baby #2) after coming off the pill last month. Should be testing on 11th July 🤞🏼

ForeverHopeful67 · 14/06/2020 23:50

@KittySocks hi Kitty, it's taking your temperature each morning to establish your basal body temp and monitoring for changes, I.e it will increase once you've ovulated x

memily · 14/06/2020 20:09

I’ve only just seen that the thread has moved 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m hoping July is the month for us all 🤞🏼
I’ve found you all to be so supportive, it’s lovely having a platform like this we can all chat on x

KittySocks · 14/06/2020 15:05

Hi all,

Can I ask what Temping is? Changed my username btw from tkma...

ForeverHopeful67 · 14/06/2020 14:58

@Juno231 sorry to hear about your BFN! 😔 has AF made an appearance yet?
Totally recommend the temping although word of warning to not get too fixated on it as it can be a bit misleading sometimes!
I think I'm going to continue taking vitex & inofolic, as I have PCOS so my cycles are usually irregular but I'm pretty sure taking this is what made me ovulate and have a semi normal cycle! 🤞

tkma · 14/06/2020 11:34

AF was due between Thursday and Saturday but nothing yet, no niggles or anything. We haven't DTD unprotected yet as we are starting this cycle! It's like AF knows I'm waiting for her so I can start logging etc lol!!!

How is everyone else getting on?

MintGreenLife · 14/06/2020 10:01

@mm26 awh that must be like torture! Hope it's good news for you 🤞🏼

I've had such a crazy first cycle charting 😂 I got three LH surges and finally got a proper positive OPK and the biggest surge I've had so far on Friday on CD33 🤦🏻‍♀️ My temp went up this morn, so hopefully means I finally ovulated on CD34 🤞🏼 I thought I ovulated on CD20 as that was my first LH surge, so I tested yesterday and obviously a BFN. Now I won't be testing with you all around the 11th of July as I'm now 1DPO. This cycle has confused the hell out of me, but if we get a BFN hopefully my next cycle will be a bit better 🤞🏼 Xx

OP posts:
mm26 · 14/06/2020 09:56

@MintGreenLife I've been googling like mad! Especially since I got a similar result on a FRER a few days ago! Just more torture making me go from "it's happening" to "oh well, try again next month".
Yeah I've got more tests to I'll keep testing until period arrives or (hopefully) bfp!

How are you getting on?

MintGreenLife · 14/06/2020 09:46

Morning @mm26 ☺️ Haha no probs. Hmm I've seen others post similar results on here, and seem to get a mixed response, with some saying it could be a BFP and others saying evap. Will you test again tomorrow so you think? Xx

OP posts:
mm26 · 14/06/2020 09:40

Hi everyone! I totally missed the post to say we'd moved! 😂 only just saw it today!

How are we all? I've seen a few bfns - sorry to all who've had them or periods arrive! 😫

I'm still waiting. Period is due between today and Tuesday according to the apps. I've had low level, niggling cramping for the past 4 days and an achey lower back. I did a test this morning and within the 3 mins got a weird result. It looked like a bfn but at the test line but there were faint red lines at the top and bottom of the line. What do we think?

Amnah26 · 13/06/2020 22:15

Wow! Lots of msgs to catch up on. Congratulations ladies ❤️ so so happy for you xxxx This msg comes up every time I try joining the group. Please can you tell me how to join you all on Facebook xxx
