Little bit of background -
Cycle #3 TTC after MC in December
This month doing SMEP, tracking BBT and OV (CB advanced and Femometer strips), also drowning myself in grapefruit juice 😂 and will take Calc Fluor in TWW.

Sending everyone lots of luck 🤞

@VP91x thank you. I think he’s still got enough left in him 😜💦. Will just carry on as we would have anyway if I was going on the apps. Wishful thinking it was going to happen earlier this month 🙄
I’m going to try and do what you say and relax about it. Will keep testing too, see what happens.
Thank you xx

VP91x · 11/06/2020 15:09

@MichT4 this was mine on my peak day last month if it is any help at all xx

@MichT4 I do think the ICs work so don't stress over thinking you need the CB ones too! If I didn't see the Femometer numbers I would have said you had a peak yesterday because todays are lighter BUT, keep testing and DTD anyway (if partner has energy still). Xx

@Niisa No harm in peeing on a few sticks if you're going to feel okay with the fact that you might not get a result yet! I know what you mean about the yellowish tinge to CM though xx

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 15:00

@VP91x here’s a pic. I see no logic in the numbers. I have been looking at the CB ones but it’s just too much money I think, at this stage. I’m just in a ‘throw money at it and I’ll ovulate’ stage

@2020wish I had an inkling it may have been you! I stopped testing about exactly a week before AF showed so I honestly have no idea if I ovulated - I think you were right. No bleeding this morning, it just felt like it was AF but it was the discharge. It's still the same and a lot more discharge than I ever remember having. I can't remember what changes I had in my first pregnancy as I wasn't paying attention 😳

@VP91x I sure hope so! I only have ICs so not sure if I should test with those today or still wait till Monday 😬

2020wish · 11/06/2020 14:37

@Niisa the yellow tint could also be the mix of blood and discharge since you were bleeding this morning. Maybe implantation bleeding?

VP91x · 11/06/2020 14:37

@Niisa I would say that is a great sign!? Are you still getting loads? Definitely something to note I think xx

@MichT4 have you got a pic?

@HopeForRainbowbaby I'm not sure about the grapefruit juice actually. I don't think it does any harm to continue. I will do a quick google search and see if anything comes up.

@2020wish that sounds like a plan xx

2020wish · 11/06/2020 14:35

@Niisa yea I remember you saying last month you weren’t getting a peak. I think it was me that suggested it was due to fasting as it is known to affect ovulation. But you could or ovulated late? It could be pregnancy? Although I’d maybe ring the doctor and query the yellow discharge. Hope this is your month x

2020wish · 11/06/2020 14:32

Hahah thanks. My skin has toughened the past year as a nurse and pushing doctors for certain testings. I work with a fantastic team of doctors in icu so I have learnt that they are only human also and don’t know everything so it’s good to do ur own research and present it to them. A good doctor wil always listen and maybe learn something new themselves.

@VP91x I’m going to start it tomorrow after my blood tests as I don’t want to alter the sample. Anxious tho as I should of started after I ovulated

@HopeForRainbowbaby it’s always good to ask for family history as I have learnt lol as for the grapefruit juice I stopped after I knew I ovulated although I’m not sure if that’s correct but it makes sense to me to stop.

@DBTJ thank you :) I’m hoping they get my bloods ok tomorrow and I can relax the rest of this tww now knowing I’m getting properly investigated

Niisa · 11/06/2020 14:29

FX for you @2020wish 💕

HopeForRainbowbaby · 11/06/2020 14:21

@2020wish good job with doctors ! You are one strong woman 👍 and I'm inspired by your positivity ! You are on path towards sticky bean🥰
I have also checked with my mother if there is any history of blood clotting for her or my grandma just to be sure.

Should I stop drinking grapefruit juice since I'm in tww?

@VP91x I plan for June 20. But now I'm thinking maybe June 19... as it will be 9dpo. And you?

DBTJ · 11/06/2020 13:44

@2020wish

So happy you finally got some sort of clarity. I kept checking for your updates very, hope tomorrow goes well and your 1 step closer to a sticky bean.

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 13:18

Update: OPK number 764, still 'high'

Hey ladies, TMI so be warned!

Woke up this morning and I could have sworn AF had come. Without getting into detail, you all know what I felt and it was like I was 10000% sure it started. Butttttt I was worried as AF is due next Friday (19th) so was baffled.

Went toilet and I had sooo much discharge like my PJ bottoms were wet! When I wiped, it was a lot and was yellowy - straw colour but clear if that makes sense. I'm now feeling like I still have a lot of discharge, like I'm seriously contemplating putting on a pad or at least a panty liner.

Has anyone had this before? I'm about 10dpo - app has me as ovulated on CD12 and AF to be due CD30. I'm planning to test on Monday as that'll be 14dpo. I usually have regular 28/29 day cycles although last cycle was 26 days 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm just soooo bamboozled!!

VP91x · 11/06/2020 12:34

@Jazper I know what you mean, I'm glad we have this lovely group to be a part of for sure ❤️

@HopeForRainbowbaby I hope these days go quickly for you. What day are you planning to test?

Oh @Chickoletta that's such an awful experience to literally be miscarrying whilst working. I took the morning off work to have a second scan after my bleed the week before they actually ended up confirming the miscarriage and I went back to work for the afternoon. My manager actually asked if I could stay until 11pm that night and got annoyed with me when I said I couldn't as I wanted to be at home. He said I should have told him earlier if I wasn't going to be available for a later finish 🤔 I was so upset with him. It got worse from there with them, which is why I decided to leave!

@2020wish I'm glad you stuck to your guns and are getting your bloods done for those tests. Hope it is okay for you tomorrow when they do it. Are you going to take the aspirin? Xx

OP posts:
Chickoletta · 11/06/2020 12:32

@2020wish - That sounds positive. Well done for persisting.

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 12:13

@2020wish
Good for you for staying strong with the docs. Don’t feel bad about not researching sooner, it’s difficult to use your own research with GPs as they always fob you off anyway. The good thing is you are now hopefully going to get some answers and you know you’re ok with the aspirin too.

It’s hard with taking time off. I went to the office the day I had the MC confirmed because it felt like a distraction. But then I felt I had shot myself in the foot because asking for time off after I’d been in seemed like it wasn’t valid. But it is hard, and the emotions come in waves

2020wish · 11/06/2020 12:09

@Chickoletta that is awful :( with my first I didn’t take any time off either as I didn’t know if I was being stupid or not cause I was early and I didn’t grieve. But this time I made sure I took the time off . Don’t think us ladies get enough credit of how strong we are and what we have went through emotionally and physically.

Feeling a bit positive today. Rang and finally got speaking to a doctor today. (My usual doctor was off). Explained the blood clotting disorder in my family and APS being the top cause of recurrent miscarriage and she was going to fob me off saying that it is important to but I would need to wait to see the RMC. I then queried why she couldn’t request the test for it today as it is just a blood test and I’m due to go back to repeated bloods tomorrow and that I’m in my TWW and would like to give this opportunity of pregnancy a good chance. So she went and checked with their treatment room nurse to find out they do indeed do the blood test and I’m now booked to have it done tomorrow. She advised I she can’t stop me taking aspirin as treatment on my own accord but again it would need to be the RMC to say officially but she is aware it is known to help. Makes me feel sort of sad that if I didn’t do my own research and ask for this test it was being over looked and I’ve read so many other women have had it over looked by their GPs when in fact it was their issue and a simple aspirin would have helped them.

But feeling positive I’m getting somewhere and can have my win sticky bean soon

Diorissimo1985 · 11/06/2020 11:56

We’ve all for everything crossed for you @Hayleylou89 - close monitoring is reassuring so I’m glad you’re getting the extra scans.
Yes I’m still bleeding at the moment so can’t really work out when I will ovulate - last time it was bang on 14 days after the start of the miscarriage. But that didn’t work out obviously so who know what will happen this time.
Going to order some more supplements so I feel more proactive... currently taking seven seas preconception, prescribed iron tablets, and adding a lot of flaxseed powder to my porridge Grin anything else I could try? I think my issue is egg quality but no idea really xx

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 11:47

@chickoletta thanks lovely. It was @Jazper too, so you did have it right ☺️

That’s really sad about doing your meeting on the towel, poor you!

It’s so lovely to be able to talk to you girls. And I’m so looking forward to lots of BFPs. Let’s hope we wipe this thread clean very soon xxx

Chickoletta · 11/06/2020 11:30

Sorry, just realised that it was @MichT4 who was writing about MC in lockdown and not being able to take time to grieve.

Chickoletta · 11/06/2020 11:29

Thanks ladies. FX for tomorrow.

@Jazper - I’ve just read your post from earlier and know exactly what you mean. I MCed in April and everything had to carry on around me as the kids were here doing their school work. Under ordinary circumstances I would have had to have time off work, by myself but I actually chaired a remote meeting whilst sitting on a towel as I was passing enormous clots. I told myself it was good to be busy but I think it took a lot longer to process everything actually. Glad you’ve had a good chat with DH now - mine has been a rock throughout this along with a couple of good friends.

HopeForRainbowbaby · 11/06/2020 11:22

@Chickoletta yes I did test with my last pregnancy ( MC in end of May) at 7, 8, and 9 dpo. It was light positive on 9 dpo, earlier than that was negative. So there is time 💪

@Jazper @MichT4
I can completely relate to All feelings you are going though. Give yourself time. I have miscarried just before corona and now in May. I was utterly shocked and broken. I have put myself up faster with second MC than with first miscarriage. But sadness comes and goes. Ladies here are best support group I could imagine and if you feel like sharing, that's exactly why we have got this platform for😘 I also would like to look in further future but I can't, I'm 1DPO and counting days till I can test... let's make some BFP flying in this group ❤️

Jazper · 11/06/2020 10:40

@MichT4, thank you for the reply. It wasn't a ramble to me. I really appreciate it. While it is sad that other people have suffered like I have, it is also really comforting to know that I am not suffering alone. I do feel more hopeful today. I am
aware that this positivity may only last until my next af, but i do think I have come to terms with the fact that this may not happen as quick as I had hoped.
I'm not sure how true the 'increased fertility post mc' thing is you know. I have googled it and while it is commonly branded about, I don't think there has been any research done to prove it.

@VP91x thank you. I appreciate the support of the group. Some groups I find are a little 'clicky' and it feels you're only accepted if you are a regular poster.

@Chickoletta, I know of some women who have tested that early and got accurate results but I know of many many more who haven't. And it always makes me wonder if ov wasn't correctly calculated to get a pos that early too.
Negatives are awful to see but you definitely aren't out yet.
Glad your cystitis has subsided. I had it recurring from 16 years old for years. It was awful.
