Little bit of background -
Cycle #3 TTC after MC in December
This month doing SMEP, tracking BBT and OV (CB advanced and Femometer strips), also drowning myself in grapefruit juice 😂 and will take Calc Fluor in TWW.

Sending everyone lots of luck 🤞

@Jazper glad to see you back and I think you just need to look after yourself, let yourself be sad if that's how you feel and take it day by day. I know that sounds a bit cliche but sometimes we do have to just put one foot in front of the other
@Chickoletta glad your cystitis has gone, mine always need antibiotics so lucky you've managed to sort it without. I'm also CD 24 now and so no judgement here for testing early...I have had a BFN and 4 days later had a positive with last pregnancy so it's definitely possible.
So glad you've been proactive with your GP @2020wish and hopefully your blood work gets some definitive answers
@Niisa sounds like a good sign to me, think it was @Chickoletta that also had some over zealous CM this month too so 🤞
@VP91x I'm not familiar with calorie deficit and exercise affecting pregnancy chances tbh, if it's something your body is used to then I'd say it's probably safe...sorry that's pretty useless advice, sure someone else can give you a more educated response!
Hi @Banbi welcome and sorry for your loss, the thread makes me feel more productive about things too, good for practical tips but also the emotional stuff if you fancy venting
@mrsssk I'd say you probably got your peak around CD 13 and maybe missed the full peak if you're doing it daily, also worth continuing to check for a few days to see if it definitely goes back down

VP91x · 11/06/2020 17:48

@MichT4 @mrsssk watery/ewcm is classed as fertile so I think either is fine. I get a mixture of both I have noticed. If its stretchy its more veering towards EWCM I'm assuming? If its very wet, slippery it's all good!

@anaconda76 that seems like quite a sarcastic response from the hospital! But I'm not sure why they say you might be more fertile post-MC. However, whenever you feel ready to try again go for it. Only you know your body and how you feel xxx

Thanks @mrsssk. I feel happier with the thought of getting on with it. Waiting another 4 to 6 weeks feels like forever.

mrsssk · 11/06/2020 17:36

@MichT4 you’ve literally described exactly what I’ve had too. Never really noticed EWCM before and just noticed watery type yesterday, so I think we’re in the same boat. I’ll just have to let DH know to keep going for a couple of days 😂 we’ve never tracked ovulation before so the poor guy doesn’t know what’s hit him

mrsssk · 11/06/2020 17:34

@VP91x I think you’re right and I haven’t caught it on the sticks. I’ll keep checking as you suggest and if it continues on a downward trend that would make more sense. I’ve been tracking CM and although didn’t get EW, did get more of a watery type yesterday.

@anaconda76 that’s exactly what I’m trying to do with OPKs now. If there’s even a slight chance of getting pregnant before the next actual period rolls round then it’d be a shame to miss it. I’d say if you’re feeling mentally up to it to start trying again, go for it!

Tink20058 · 11/06/2020 17:32

@VP91x Thankyou that’s probably why I couldn’t find it 🤣 xx

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 17:31

I just did mine again too and it’s slightly lighter again. I’ll keep going until I know either way.
@VP91x do you always get EWCM? My CM is definitely more watery and quite stretchy (sorry!) but hasn’t gone EW yet - it did last month but that was the first time I’ve noticed it.

@mrsssk I wonder if I’ve missed mine too, but I’m not sure my CM ever went to EWCM either 🤯 so I have no idea. Definitely plan to keep testing from tomorrow morning (I need to drink!) and hopefully my temps will do something too. Will keep DTD in the meantime xx

anaconda76 · 11/06/2020 17:30

Do you think there's any truth in the theory that you're more fertile after a mc? I wonder why that would be.

anaconda76 · 11/06/2020 17:28

When I went to the hospital today for more blood tests I made sure I asked why I should wait for AF before ttc again. The nurse said, "well you wouldn't try to run if you'd just hurt your knee." But actually, not getting any younger here so @HopeForRainbowbaby and @mrsssk I think I will start trying again as soon as the bleeding stops. Like @2020wish suggested, I'll just keep tabs on ov date.

VP91x · 11/06/2020 17:20

@mrsssk I would say yes probably yes you have missed catching it on your OPK. However, keep testing just to check they keep going lighter. Have you had any change to CM? Or are you tracking BBT at all? Xx

VP91x · 11/06/2020 17:17

@MichT4 yeah I think you're right, I was going to F45 classes (studio based HIIT style) x6 a week for about 4 months pre lockdown to shift the weight and then just have gone the complete opposite. So will restart tomorrow and start doing some more cardio - I have weights at home so will get some workouts with those too. Yeah, would love to set some challenges between us!

@Tink20058 the girls moved over to a whatsapp group. @Hayleylou89 can you add?Xxx

@Banbi welcome! Sorry that you have recently suffered a loss. It is good that you are taking the right approach for you. Whenever you want to dip in and out feel free to do so. Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle xx

Hi ladies does anyone know the link for pregnancy group after miscarriage? I have had a quick look but can’t found one? Xxx

mrsssk · 11/06/2020 16:51

Hi ladies,

Firstly hello @Banbi, sorry to hear about your loss. I’m finding great comfort in this group and hope you do too x

Just wondering if I can get some insight on my OPK strips.

I’ve done them for the last few days hoping to catch a peak and got a “high” reading the last couple of day’s but a low today. Does this mean I possibly ovulated sometime over the last couple of days? I’ve just been testing once a day so may have missed my “peak” ??? we DTD the last few days anyways.

I’m not really expecting to ovulate again so soon after the MC (just stopped bleeding last week) but we thought we’d give it a shot regardless!

Any help is appreciated demystifying! Thx

Banbi · 11/06/2020 16:32

Hi all - late to the party, but hope it's still ok to join Grin

First, I'm sorry for your losses and have all my fingers and toes crossed that you get your BFPs soon. I'm gonna lurk on here for a bit - had a MC in March, got pregnant really quickly once I started properly tracking my cycle but then it was not to be. AF in Apr & May at around about the right time but longer than typical.

We've decided we're ready to TTC again, but I'm nervous. It's been really good for me I think to see you all hitting it hard - charting and the works. Gotta go for what we want! We're going to be a bit gentler for the next month: keep an eye on dates and physical symptoms to loosely time the BD, but not expect it to happen or go full on OPKs or steps to boost things yet.

Mostly I'm hoping following your stories here will make me pull my socks up in terms of lifestyle. Lockdown and the MC have been super excuses to stop exercising, drink wine, and mainline caffeine Blush

Xx

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 16:29

@Bellabubble ahh how lovely. We moved into our place at the end of October and it was so great kitting the place out. Kept me very busy!

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 16:28

@VP91x 😂😂 love it!

I think you’d be fine to. You’ve done it before and you aren’t taking up anything super high intensity. I was really watching my food and trying to drop a bit of excess before I conceived last time, and it obviously did me no harm. In fact I think I was making really good choices. I stopped training for a while when I started bleeding and I think it did more harm than anything. Obviously wouldn’t have changed the outcome but for mindset I really struggled. And now I feel like all the weight is back, and I’m now the same - trying to be more conscious of my intake and doing some more cardio based exercise on top of lifting. I think you should go for it - it’s good for your headspace and gives another focus to.

I actually think back to when we did conceive and think I was in a better place body wise. My BMI etc is fine but like I said its more of a mental game for me. Plus, I don’t want to make life harder post baby with excess to start with 🙊

Go for it! Maybe we should set ourselves little challenges to keep our minds distracted xx

VP91x · 11/06/2020 16:13

@MichT4 literally what it was like, plus when I shouted at him to come and look at my sticks. He thought I was PG 😂

Ladies what do you think about me putting myself back into a calorie deficit to try and shift some weight? I know it is a bit late in the TTC game but I was doing loads of HIIT workouts and had lost 6kgs pre lockdown and now most of that has come back on and I'm feeling really uncomfortable. I do have a high BMI anyway - do you think it would be detrimental? I was thinking it should be okay?

I wouldn't do anything too high intensity exercise wise again in the meantime.

@Bellabubble ahh that's fab!! Glad you are getting more bits sorted. Yeah that must really help to pass the time! How has it been back at the school xx

@VP91x the house is starting to feel like more of a home now! We got the TV and washing machine delivered yesterday 🙌🏻 (I have had to drop clothes round to my mum’s, who we were living woth before moving out 2 weeks ago, as I work in a school so need to wash my clothes regularly to stay safe 🙄) I’m currently 5dpo but being back at work all week has made the days go quicker, so I’m happy about that! Stops me from symptom spotting too 😂 How are you guys doing? xx

chloedancer897 · 11/06/2020 15:52

@Niisa I was the same this morning although I'm only D5PO so doubt it's anything to get excited about for me. Worth while testing maybe?

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 15:31

Thanks @2020wish. Hopefully we would be covered if it was my peak yesterday 🤞🏼 I think we would be, luckily. I’ll wait to see what happens with the rest of the sticks xx

2020wish · 11/06/2020 15:24

@Niisa maybe test?? Could be a BFP !!

@MichT4 I would guess from that you ovulated last night and now the surge is falling again today? But keep testing every 4 hours until you get a 0

MichT4 · 11/06/2020 15:23

😂😂 just imagining pots of wee all about the place. My OH would think I’d lost it (even more!)

VP91x · 11/06/2020 15:18

@MichT4 I think I did like maybe a small glass of juice or something. It was a bit of a funny day, because the day before I had ran out of sticks. So I saved my FMU and second wee at lunchtime. Then when they arrived at like 7pm I dipped them all and done that final one. 😂 Xx

OP posts:
MichT4 · 11/06/2020 15:12

Gosh @VP91x you got a lovely big peak. Did you not drink anything between those tests?

Fingers crossed I get one like that soon 🤞🏼
