Hello, looking for ladies with a similar cycle to mine, to discuss symptoms and get through the dreaded tww!

I'm only 10dpo and my cramps are awful. I have really bad backache and feel quite sick they're so strong. Urgh.

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 11/06/2020 14:30

Part of the “Meh” brigade here too..... AF hasn’t arrived today. Got excited and did a boots test strip earlier = BFN.

I’ve been out to buy a First Response so will try again tomorrow if AF still hasn’t arrived. 😞

kirinm · 11/06/2020 13:54

Are the clear blue really expensive?

PabsyPops · 11/06/2020 13:37

@kirinm I have their ovulation strips and find them awful! For months I've never shown to be ovulating and was starting to think there was something wrong. I then bought the clear blue ones and first month I got the solid smiley and was absolutely buzzing!!!

Turns out my Flo app was all wrong so even though we've been "trying" for a few months I was timing everything all wrong and was probably ovulating during my TWW!

This is the first month we've actually put some effort in 😂 and I'm now 7DPO. Praying for my BFP this month 🤞🏽

kirinm · 11/06/2020 13:17

I've just read reviews of the tests I have on Amazon - I didn't before I bought them. The reviews are awful! Lots of people have used them and got negatives even after AF due and they are showing strong positives on other tests - one person was even 6 weeks and getting negatives.

I don't think that is the case with me, I can tell by my cramps that I'm not pregnant but I definitely won't be buying these again. They are "one-step" extra wide. Even if you are a POAS addict, don't buy them!

GreysLove · 11/06/2020 12:35

Hey all, new to the thread but been reading through and following all your experiences and it's so reassuring to have so many going through the same thing.

I'm slightly out of sync with you ladies, according to app AF due 20th, but only after an extra long cycle last month - 37 days - which was super frustrating after I thought my cycle had settled on 32 days after coming off the pill in Nov 2019. This month I wasn't sure when to start the OPK's, then ran out just as it was looking high, but maybe not quite peak so my guesstimate is that I'm currently 7 or 8dpo. My boobs, but in particular my right one has been very sore and achy since yesterday - possibly a sign as that's not normal for me?

I only have one cheap test left (poas this morning, bfn as expected but couldn't help myself), so I have ordered cb triple check and fr early check on amazon to arrive tomorrow - going to try really hard to hold off taking them for another week - 18th is my goal.

Sorry for the long first post, feels good to talk about it out loud. My best friend is 22 weeks with bby2, and sis-in-law is being induced today - excited for them but i'm sure my TTC chat will be boring lol.

LittleTooMuch · 11/06/2020 12:30

@ScottishLassie3 - that might actually be a good sign that you have no symptoms, a lot of people don't actually get symptoms this early on. I reckon the month i get my BFP will be when I least expect it and havent had any signs

mm26 · 11/06/2020 12:25

@whambam89 I 100% see that line!! Congrats! 💜

ScottishLassie3 · 11/06/2020 12:19

So interesting to read about all your symptoms. I'm wishing I had some, but don't really have any at all and am 8dpo. Here's hoping it's just because I haven't implanted yet Confused

LeopardLover · 11/06/2020 11:50

@PabsyPops It's so boring, right!? I think I'm suddenly imagining light cramping! Other than that, I've been more tired but that's also down to work /life.

AF is due on 18th! So maybe around then if it doesn't arrive. What about you?

PabsyPops · 11/06/2020 11:38

@LeopardLover I'm 7 DPO too and it's draggggging!!! I have felt tired and sick for a few days but today totally normal... I think I'm run down from work at the minute as my jobs crazy but I can't help think it's something... then I realise I'm only 7 DPO!!

When are you planning on testing?

LeopardLover · 11/06/2020 11:19

Morning all!

@whambam89 I 100% see a line! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 keep us in the loop. 😊

It's so crazy how I've spent most of my life worried about accidentally falling pregnant, but it's really not that easy! I'm approx 7 DPO with zero symptoms. I wasn't really expecting anything this month, and I know it's still early...

Hearing everyone's positive news gives me hope! Waiting is just so boring!

LittleTooMuch · 11/06/2020 10:58

@kirinm - im the same!!! i have period cramps, feel floated and sluggish but not due until tuesday but feel like its coming early! so deflating isn't it

kirinm · 11/06/2020 10:52

My period type cramps and aches have ramped up so I'm not at all positive now. And annoyingly I'm not due until Monday so I've got several days of these cramps to deal with.

LittleTooMuch · 11/06/2020 10:48

@sansa87 - one of my good friends is pregnant and when she told me she was like ' it was such a shock, we weren't even planning a baby for a few years' I had to bite my tongue! Its funny because when I was on my pill I still used to worry every month that I may just pregnant and now I have had my eyes completely opened to how stupid I was

Sansa87 · 11/06/2020 10:42

My oh was shocked as well that it doesn’t just happen because you have unprotected sex. He is so anal with contraception. I once took a the pill a few hours late and was turned down 😂 it’s been a bit eye opener for him how timing is everything, and even then the percentages aren’t really in your favour.

How people get pregnant at all when they aren’t trying astounds me

LittleTooMuch · 11/06/2020 10:30

@darcy86 - no I'm not going to test early, think the way I feel today af will be early anyway.

Darcy86 · 11/06/2020 10:27

@LittleTooMuch it can be tough eh. How long have you been trying? I'm due tues as well although I'm never like clockwork so it could be Tues-thurs. May test on weds though if it hasnt arrived. Eeek. Are you going to wait or test early?

LittleTooMuch · 11/06/2020 10:17

@darcy86 i know that feeling I'm feeling so deflated today, af isnt due until next tue but i feel like its coming early, i feel so bloated and have a pinching pain in my back. Oh well maybe this month wasnt for me

Darcy86 · 11/06/2020 10:01

Hi everyone, another meh person here! Also think AF might arrive early for me, the pulling kind of feeling I was having has essentially transformed into AF cramps so not really feeling too hopeful. Want to try and keep positive without getting my hopes up which is a challenge.

@whambam89 I can 100% see the line! Keep us posted!

Rotagilla · 11/06/2020 09:56

My partner had no idea!
Thought you did it a few times at anytime of the month and that was it 😂
Really opened his eyes when I explained about ovulating and the tiny window we actually have.

LittleTooMuch · 11/06/2020 09:42

@kirinm - my partner tells me that he doesn't understand why people get pregnant after a one night stand but its taking us so long so then he starts planning holidays for next year and that stresses me out like he doesnt even want a baby but its just his way of concentrating on something positive

whambam89 · 11/06/2020 09:41

@kirinm do you think? I'm just concerned about the negative FRER I think! Don't want to tell OH until I know for definite.. might pick up another brand later as we desperately need food shopping anyway
