And there is no stress at the moment - except the stress of ttc! Maybe this will be the month for all of us!!

PinkFlamingoGirl · 04/06/2020 16:48

Totally agree with this ladies!! I'm stressing how we will find the time when we are back to work again!! So much more flexibility WFH and timing DTD. How did I find the time in December, Jan and Feb! 🙈

KK251289 · 04/06/2020 15:38

@nat4392 exactly right! I'll spend the whole day in the office panicking. I'm only on cd6 and I'm already counting myself out this month and I dont know why!

Nat4392 · 04/06/2020 15:31

@KK251289 yea I know what you mean. We’ve got all this free time to DTD and lie horizontally afterwards and nothing! God knows what it’ll be like when we have to go back to work!

KK251289 · 04/06/2020 14:54

@Annny27 welcome to the thread. I'm so sorry about your miscarriage, sending you all the luck in the world for this cycle.

@Nat4392 and @PinkFlamingoGirl I know the feeling. Seems like everyone around me is announcing pregnancies a d births etc. Definitely doesnt help with the 5am anxiety night sweats about it. I think another thing that is worrying me is that me and my OH both work at home due to coronavirus and our offices being shut. That means it's so easy for us to schedule testing and DTD, if it doesnt happen before we're due back in the office most days (around August) then what chance do we have if it's not working now?

Posy1 · 04/06/2020 14:53

@Hoping41 the app usually works out your ovulation day for you. The day before ovulation you usually have a temp dip (but this doesn't always happen) and the day after ovulation your temperature rises above the coverline (which the app also works out for you). I find it really useful, but taking your temp at the same time every morning is a bit of a faff. I'm usually consistent at taking it around ovulation, but not so good the rest of the month.

Hoping41 · 04/06/2020 14:53

I’ve just bought a thyroid testing kit of medichecks after all the chat on here. I must be careful not to make that website my new amazon!

jessmcg · 04/06/2020 14:50

@Tilly1403 Sounds the same as us! He’s being sent the pot in the post and then he’s got to do the test on Monday and then we’ve got to rush down to the clinic and drop it in! I’m going in anyway that day though as I cracked and decided to get an ultrasound just to see if anything is going on. Never done any of this clinic stuff before but I’ve never had any tests on anything in my life and I think it might be time! Also booked in with a naturopath / herbalist who I’m meeting on Saturday over Zoom to see if I can do something natural to support my temps / lack of EWCM etc.

@Posy1 I’m a late ovulator and I still don’t get it! I’m usually CD 17 or 18 and still nothing. I spoke to a family friend about it (she’s a GP & gynae) and she said not to worry about it, but to be honest I think it’s linked to the low BBt and I hadn’t told her that bit. She also didn’t know that I’ve been trying for my now 10th cycle! So yes. There are ways you can improve it though apparently - lots of water (done that), Evening Primrose Oil (I had a bad allergic reaction!) and a few other things. I’ve bought a supplement online so that’s my next port of call now.

Hoping41 · 04/06/2020 14:41

@Posy1 thanks so much for the graph. That’s really interesting to see. Does that mean your actual ovulation day was day 15 as that’s the last ‘low’ temperature?
@twinkletoes my OH is the same. He’s stressed because he is a fixer and he can’t fix this. I don’t talk to him at all about it out of the fw. I just didn’t think he was stressing because he wasn’t talking about it - like I would do if stressed.
Hi @Annny27 sorry to hear your story. Welcome to the thread 😀

Twinkletoes85 · 04/06/2020 14:29

@posy1 thank you for attaching that graph it’s really interesting to see.

I didn’t stick out temping long enough first go but I think I’ll start again now as it seems to be a pretty reasonable indicator!

@Nat4392 I’m sorry to hear that, it’s very hard not to be bitter (and then you feel worse because of that bitterness). I really hope your time comes soon then all the sadness and difficulty you’ve been though will be in the past!

I was having another chat with my OH at lunch and he admitted he’s feeling the pressure (he’s quite laid back so I knew he was a bit fed up but I didn’t realise how much so). I’m going to try ease off him a bit and talk about other things until I have to mention my next fw.

@Fifol really hoping AF stays away for you. If you are worried about your temp, I would ask the GP for a TSH test (thyroid test). Just say you are feeling tired etc. You should be able to get that straight away as its not strictly fertility related so you don't have to wait the 12 months. If your thyroid is fine, I think low pre ovulation temp shouldn't be an issue as far as I know.

Posy1 · 04/06/2020 14:15

@jessmcg so sorry AF arrived for you, buy glad you are feeling ok about it. Good.luck with the tests too. I have been noticing I have very little EWCM too, I thought it was because I was ovulating early though and possibly then not enough oestrogen built up. When do you usually ovulate?

@Annny27 welcome to the tread and so so sorry about your miscarriage.

Twinkletoes85 · 04/06/2020 13:31

Just hoping this tags some of the other girls from the last thread (don’t know if it works!)

Found you all! Hello - marking my place so I can keep up with this thread! :-)

Today I'm cycle day 16.. no Peak yet. Getting pretty fed up with two weeks' of High and no Peak yet!

Nat4392 · 04/06/2020 13:29

Ergh yet another friend of mine is pregnant almost immediately! So fed up! Took everything not to cry when DH told me today. It’s so difficult to be happy for people when you’re in this position, I’m so bitter about it! 😫

Fifol · 04/06/2020 13:21

@PinkFlamingoGirl due today!

@Annny27 that's awful but sound like you are staying positive fair play to you. I'll be coming into cycle 8 of ttc if af starts today.

Posy1 · 04/06/2020 13:19

Great to have found you all again..Must catch up on this properly later.
@Hoping41 with you BBT you will find that your temp stays high if you conceive, but drops a day or two before if AF is on its way. I have attached the chart from when I conceived with my daughter to show you. As you can see we only DTD 3 times that month (my OH was sick on day 13 and I was so disappointed so when we got the bfp it was a big surprise). I find temping is really good because you can see when you ovulate.

Hi I found you all! Just marking my place until I can come back on tonight to catch up. Hope everyone's well!
Thank you for setting up @Twinkletoes85 Smile

Hoping41 · 04/06/2020 12:57

There is a lot of messages on here today 😀 and yes, I'm directly spending a lot of time scrolling through 🤣
I think maybe men and women are just different. I want to know everything so I can fix it or move on from trying while OH would rather know nothing and just see if it happens. I'm in my TWW now but if af arrives, I'll be more pushy about the 2nd sperm test. Hopefully his vitamins have helped.

Annny27 · 04/06/2020 12:41

thank you @fifol are you on month 6 or 7?

Tilly1403 · 04/06/2020 12:40

I found you!
@Hoping41he arranged his test privately and is getting the results via GP. I think he might have been able to get the test via the GP but I won't criticise his motivation to get it sorted! My DH hasnt been taking any vitamins, doing anything with his diet or cutting down on booze so I'm hopeful there are things he will be able to adjust if any of the results are slightly off. He had a mad panic that it would come back saying no sperm or something like that, but I'm trying to remind him that the more information we have the more we can manage rather than blindly hoping for the best each month. How did your DH cope with his results? @Twinkletoes85 my husband is exactly the same are it sounds like yours are regarding alcohol. He has managed five days without a drink in prep for his test today but that was a flipping achievement! If his tests come back below average I'm hoping it'll have some impact on his drinking. It's difficult to say without implying he's a raging alcoholic! Which he isn't, it's just him mindlessly having a drink when I'm mindfully be very careful about everything I'm doing!
@Seafrontsky that's really handy to know. I think any results have got to be more manageable than not having a clue. It could be that I'm taking all these supplements but really he needs to be doing something, or it could be that all is fine and it's just a matter of time.
@jessmcg ah he's going Monday? Yeah definitely let me know how it goes! Seems like we're on fairly similar paths at the moment. The clinic my DH is going to isn't doing any 'face to face' appts due to Covid so he will be 'producing his sample' and then us driving over to the clinic before all the swimmers die, it's pretty stressful. I hate being late at the best of times, but today it'll really count! He's trying to style out his stress currently but I can sense he's a bit anxious!

Annny27 · 04/06/2020 12:40

Thanks everyone! Yeah it was a hard time and was actually my due date yesterday which was a bit of an "omg my baby would have been here" moment. But onwards and upwards 🙌🙌

@jessmcg there's is a YouTube channel called fertility from the soul that does fertility affirmations/ mindfulness which is cool!

@twinkletoes85 thank you! Yeah I wish you could just pee on a stick right after ovulating and it could tell you haha! Is this your first baby?

@PinkFlamingoGirl thank you for the welcome! I am 1dpo so we see similar cycle buddies I guess! And yes I swear since ttc all my friends are pregnant 🤣🤣

PinkFlamingoGirl · 04/06/2020 12:40

@fifol yes I agree. I find it so interesting reading everyone else's stories too. When are you due on? TWW is the worstttt. xx

Fifol · 04/06/2020 12:37

@Annny27 welcome! And best of luck

@jessmcg now I'm worried about my temp lol you'll have to let me know how you get on. I didnt even think there could be an issue.

@pinkflamingogirl all the time! Literally. It's so helpful though looking back at old posts on different things.

I'm still waiting on AF anyway I'm half fed up knowing she is surely on the way and half still hoping theres a chance. It's so annoying I hate ttc!!

PinkFlamingoGirl · 04/06/2020 12:30

@Seafrontsky thank you🤞🌟

@Twinkletoes85 yep...I'm drowning in it lol. Exactly, the deed is done and now it's wait and see and hope. I'm going back to work next week so hopefully that keeps my mind off it!!

@jessmcg no I don't do anything like that! Might need to try it out. I'm quite impatient though and my mind totally wanders if ever I try to meditate lol. Sorry about AF 😔 sending you lots of luck for the next cycle.

I think maybe a good audiobook. Had anyone read any?

Also are you guys spending a ridiculous amount of time scrolling MN reading posts or just me? 😂
