Hey ladies!

Anyone with me ttc next month? I had my DS back in Feb 19 and we've now decided to try for baby #2.

I've been out and bought ovulation sticks, pregnancy tests and folic acid. I haven't been on Mumsnet in a long while and I've just checked the conception topic and I'm all excited again, it was such a great support platform for me the first time around!

Hello, I'm going to be trying in July , I find this app so confusing 😂 can I be added to the July thread please thanks 😊

Newbie9 · 17/06/2020 19:45

@Bluepolkadots42 sorry to hear that honey, best of luck for your next cycle xxx

kate123cl · 17/06/2020 08:20

Morning @Bluepolkadots42 That's rubbish, I'm so sorrySadit's so disappointing but you're right, at least you can look forward to next month!

Thanks for the info re the luteal phase, that's really useful! Another flashy smiley today and my last test tomorrow, won't be buying anymore this month x

Morning ladies- AF has arrived so deffo out. Shame she couldn't turn up first thing this morning before I wasted another pregnancy test! I think I'm a POAS addict Grin
Guess I need to move on and find the TTC July thread?! Next fertile window is around July 3rd. Feeling disappointed but more relieved the inevitable has arrived and now I can look forward to a new cycle.

@kate123cl don't worry about luteal phase length too much. With #1 I was only predicted a 9/10 day luteal phase as I ovulated on Cd17/18 that month and it didn't make any difference :) keep us posted with how you get on!

Newbie9 · 16/06/2020 20:08

@Bluepolkadots42 fingers crossed for a bfp tomorrow xx

kate123cl · 16/06/2020 18:34

Oh bless you @Bluepolkadots42 it all drives you crazy doesn't it, who'd have thought it'd be this thought consuming!Hmm your AF still hasn't arrived though so that's a good sign! My friend announced she was pregnant the other day and didn't get a positive test until 5days after missed period!

I don't think I'm past my peak, still having flashing smileys but cheapies getting darker. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow or the next day but then worrying that'll be too late in my cycle and then it won't stick so not feeling very hopeful!

Good luck on your Zoom quiz, sounds heaps better than my plans!x

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 16/06/2020 18:30

@kate123cl another 2 BFNs. AF due today but still no sign. I've had 28 day cycle for last 3 months so typical it would be this month she decides to be late. I am in such a bad about it all- have been v snappy with DH and basically just want to sit in a room and stare at a wall. Sadly not possible with 2 yo and a Zoom quiz this eve for my MILs bday. 😂 might have to literally paint a smile on my face.

Are you past your ovulation peak now?

Newbie9 · 16/06/2020 18:22

Thank you all, I really hope we get some more bfp's xxx

Running365 · 16/06/2020 17:56

@Newbie9 wonderful to see your news! Fingers crossed this is the lucky group for all of us! I'm CD14 now so let the TWW commence...

Newbie9 · 15/06/2020 17:37

Thanks girls, will keep you posted! X

kate123cl · 15/06/2020 11:37

@Bluepolkadots42 Ah I'd say it's definitely worth a try then! I was getting my first positives with poundland tests, I think their sensitivity is quite good too! Never really had much luck with FRER ones. It's funny how we're all differentGrin Let me know how you get on with your pm test!

That's interesting re the dark lines, I think it's the same for a lot of people! I'll bear that in mindSmile I do get other symptoms usually, I usually have Cm increase and sharp pains but I'm yet to have either this monthHmm

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 15/06/2020 11:17

@kate123cl hmm that's a good thought... I only ever get decent lines on OPKs in afternoon so maybe I should try pg test in afternoon/evening. Will have a go. The tests I'm using are the 25/mul ones (or however you say it!) which means they aren't as sensitive as stuff like FRER which are as sensitive as 6/mul.
Just to say- on my OPKs I never get a line as dark as control- basically as soon as I get any line we start DTD and usually I get a faint-medium line then next day it will be darker- but never as dark as control and then I will also have ewcm and bad pains so I know it is definitely Ov time. Do you get any other Ov symptoms?

kate123cl · 15/06/2020 11:07

Morning girls!

I'd test tomorrow too @Newbie9 ! I hope it's a BFP!😊 x

@Bluepolkadots42 Do you only test in the mornings? Sounds really strange but with my first I only managed to get squinters in the evening. My morning wee was always 100% negative! X

My cheap tests were showing a line but not as dark as the control line and my CB digital was a flashing smiley again! I'm CD15 x

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 15/06/2020 09:23

Morning @Newbie9! That sounds like a good plan. I think it would show up by 13dpo- although could still be faint.
I am 12dpo and did yet another test- no amount of squinting could show a line on it :(
Still having lots of mild cramps on and off as I usually do at this point- usually a sign AF is on her way. I am just going to keep testing daily until AF shows in the vain hope it might eventually show up- irrational really but still have a slither of a hope that AF might stay away!

Let us know how you get on tomorrow with your testing- will keep everything crossed you get a BFP!

How are your OPKs looking today @kate123cl?

Newbie9 · 15/06/2020 08:45

Morning all, how are you doing @Bluepolkadots42 ?
I'm now between 11-13 dpo so going to test tomorrow
I think I'm more likely 12-13 so hoping it would show up tomorrow if I am

Have you tested this morning@kate123cl ? X

kate123cl · 14/06/2020 19:28

There's still time @Bluepolkadots42 🤞🏼 hopefully you have no af symptoms over the next few days!

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 14/06/2020 17:46

@kate123cl haha well done you- keep up the good work!

AF due Tuesday so we will have to see what next few days bring...

kate123cl · 14/06/2020 12:30

@Newbie9 I am, thanks! Don't lose hope, no AF is a great sign I didn't feel pregnant with my first for a long time! X

@Bluepolkadots42 Thanks! I've been DTD for the last 6 nights so suppose I'll have to keep goingHmmGrin Sorry to hear about another negative test, that's rubbish! When is AF due for you? Some people don't test positive for ages! You never know, fingers crossed x

OP posts:
Bluepolkadots42 · 14/06/2020 08:15

Hmm thought I just posted but it hasn't appeared so apologies if there's a double post!
@kate123cl hurray that's great news!! Time to get busy now ;)

I did another cheap strip test today because I am a glutton for punishment and still negative so pretty sure I am out this month. Feeling quite flat and disappointed as I had convinced myself I had symptoms etc but I think they were just caused by standard progesterone surges which you normally get at this stage of cycle. Hey ho- 2 weeks til next fertile window!

@Newbie9 sorry to hear you think you're out this month too. It's a bitter pill to swallow but next cycle is another try.
